Wow! These guys are doing a great job here. Traveling on business and found this with Unilocal(as is my habit). I had a pretty straightforward burger with standard condiments but with no sauce. The fresh and perfectly cooked ingredients carried the day and made for a delicious juicy burger. Always fun to have some tater tots for a nostalgic change. My companion had the portobello burger and shared some with me — delicious! The craft sofas are also a nice change of pace. Bottom line — high quality ingredients and well cooked food is the foundation of this place. The environment is also nice and the service was attentive and genuinely interested in our satisfaction.

Hands down best burger I’ve had in some time now. We went at 12 and the line was curved around the inside. We were skeptical about the wait and where to sit but it flowed nicely and we found somewhere. If anything just a tad more seating would help. I had the trailer park with bacon and over hard egg with tots. Wife had the day dripper. First time she’s had a burger with mushrooms that not only she finished but didnt have to drown it in ranch and loose half the shrooms. We also shared the mozzarella bites. The soft drinks were a nice change from the standardized brands to oak cliff brewing pure cane sugar. Side note: when you can walk into an obviously busy burger place and receive exactly what you ordered, medium well with a hard fried egg, you know you hit the jackpot.

AMAZING burgers! My fiancé and I stopped by for a delicious burger. Definitely the best in town! We are from California and this place absolutely hit the spot. We also loved the tater tots too! We will definitely be back over and over again. Highly recommended for a delicious burger, fries(tots) and a beer ;)

We came in on a Friday around 6p and hardly anyone was there. After reading the reviews, I was surprised there weren’t more people. We had the mozzarella sticks to start. I had the Lucille with onion rings and my boyfriend had the Double Wide and tots. The fried mozzarella was nothing special. But I really liked their home made ranch that came with it. On the night we were there they were out of marinara. I loved the Lucille. It was packed with meat and was really fresh. The horseradish cream was really tasty. The onion rings were okay a bit on the greasy side. I was told the Double Wide was pretty good. The tots were mediocre. We got fried pies to go. They were good. Not amazing. We shared and think that peach was way better than the cherry. This place is not in the least bit trendy, but never the less it is charming. It’s not every other burger place. The blues wall, music, and laid back vibe was enjoyable. Also, service was decent. I’d give this place another go.

I had to catch a quick meal near Love Field and found Blues Burgers on Unilocal. The food was very good, but it really is spendy for a burger joint. It’s good quality so some markup is understandable, but it’s pretty extreme. I ordered the Slow Hand which is their version of a bbq bacon cheese burger. It has Cole slaw and onion ring. So it is drippy. But it tasted very good. It came with an army’s worth of crisp shoestring fries, maybe a tad salty but otherwise perfect. It was a lot of food for $ 12 but I would rather have an a la carte option. I loved the local cane sugar sodas on the fountain, especially the mango, but the cola was really good too. My total lunch bill was $ 16 before tip though which is definitely in ‘sometimes food’ category and precluded me being able to try one of the fried pies for dessert. I will come again though because the food is good.

Blues Burgers opened Oct 2014 and is located close to UT Southwestern. Heard about this place from a friend and I would definitely add this to my top 10 burger list. We popped in last night and you order from a counter, and the dude will bring your food to you. The best part? When you order you can leave your tab open so you don’t have to re-open when you want to order anther drink or appetizers or whatever. Genius technology right there. We started with the bacon wrapped jalapeño cheesy tater tots. We all kind of expected more toppings(more cheese!), but honestly these things were great. Next up were the cheese sticks. Basic cheese sticks, but can’t beat when they are homemade. Then we got our burgers. I ordered the white trash, which is a cheeseburger. Lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, cheddar cheese. I ordered medium rare and it came out pink as hell. It was wonderful. I like burgers with soft buns(hey-o) where you can smoosh it and get it all in your mouth. This was perfect. I got onion rings as a side and thought they were okay. After having some tater tots and fries I wish I would have chosen one of those instead. I wanted to get a fried chocolate pie for the table, but they were out. They are homemade so no worries. I ordered the chocolate brownie with ice cream. The four of us enjoyed it! The guy working last night was nice and came by and checked on several times and let us over stay our welcome of about 2 hours. Too bad Blues Burgers isn’t in my bubble, but it’s on my route home from work so I’m happy to join anyone that wants to pop in after work! PS — they don’t have a bar, but they do have all the alcohols.

Last night I was persuaded to get my mopey butt out of the house. I am grateful for that! It was a lil chilly inside but overall it was a good dinner filled with sinful food and great company at a no frill burger joint. This place has been around a little over a year and I hadn’t heard of it until yesterday. I wish it was in a different location, because I’m selfish and the current location is inconvenient for me. For starters, we shared the bad pennies(which I originally read as something else) & mozzarella sticks-both greasy deliciousness. If you have to choose one, pick the bad pennies because who doesn’t love cheese covered bacon jalapeño wrapped tots on skewers?! For dinner, the four of us all chose different burgers. I had the slow hand cooked medium rare and would recommend it. It was quality angus beef topped with bacon, cheddar, coleslaw, an onion ring, &BBQ sauce. The only thing I wanted more of was the coleslaw. We also shared the brownie a la mode. The brownie was warm, soft, and super chocolaty. As far as drinks, they have fountain drinks, beer(bottles/draft), & a very limited selection of liquor. I had a draft Revolver Blood & Honey for $ 6, which is not a bad price. I’ll be back and I think I’ll try the yardbird, fried chicken breast sandwich, next time.

Ok so I gave this place a shot because I walked out of the previous burger place I went to this night.(See review for Chips) We walk in, order, sit. There is one other couple in the place, also waiting for food. After a really long wait time I began watching the kitchen. Two guys working, one kitchen, one register. I see the register guy going back and forth between the front and back, removing his hat, playing with his hair repeatedly. I see him ring up new customers then without washing the money or the hair play off his hands, go into the kitchen to help the cook. Gross! The food was finally brought out and it was ok but … The slow service and grossness ruined it for me. Not to mention, it’s Burger and Blues and they were playing an ENTIRE Black Crows album.

Honestly I inhaled my food here because it was so good. Get the fries and the mushroom swiss. Burger was very well executed. Maybe just a tiny bit on the greasy side… but I would totally eat here again in a hot second. Also it seemed like it was two young-ish dudes in their 30s running the joint. I love to see young entrepreneurs just doin there thang! Keep it up! If I ever come back to Dallas to shoot guns at the range across the street again, I will make this my spot. PS they have beer and TVs

Yum, I got a bacon cheese burger and loaded fries, both were amazing! I’m not from the area so wasn’t sure if the area was safe but it is very nice inside and they were very professional.

Thank you Unilocalers! What an awesome surprise. Ignore the curb appeal… I even stayed in my car for a minute before saying what the hell. It was worth it. Inside is well done, guys working the counter and the grill were friendly, and the burger and fries: perfect. I stuck to the basics: cheddar cheeseburger and fries. It did not disappoint. Brioche bun was excellent, the burger was tasty, juicy, high quality, and cooked to perfection. Medium rare should be reddish-pink, most other joints don’t know that, and the outside was a little crispy. The guy at the counter was proud to say his fries were damn good and he was right. Stop by here whether it’s a 30 minute drive or you’re killing time at the airport.

Finally found a burger joint that knows how to cook a rare burger right! So few restaurants will even serve meat rare, and the places that do actually serve the meat medium-rare(if not outright medium), and I am essentially left chewing on semi-edible shoe leather. Yuck! The HMF(without bacon — I am sure it is excellent, but bacon is not my thing) was easily one of the best burgers I have had in Dallas. Quality meat, juicy, good-sized portion, COOKEDCORRECTLY, and all at a great price! Sweet potato fries were also choice. Found my new burger dive in Dallas and couldn’t be happier. 5⁄5 stars!

Really pleased with our choice to stop and grub here. I had the slow hand(their version of a western) My friend got the HMF(presumably, hot mother fu&@er) he said it was excellent. The quality of meat was so good. And overall just awesome burgers. Sweet potato fries were better than avg and great selection of beer. Don’t let the dud of a shopping center deter you. This place is great!

Please don’t go here. I don’t want one of my favorite places to be overrun by folks seeking awesome burgers. And definitely don’t try the HMF(you figure out what that stands for) Burger. Nothing to see, here. And the sides? Don’t bother. Rumors you’ve heard about the fries, the tots, and the sweet potato fries being wonderfully seasoned, crispy, and tasty are all just lies. And never mind about the great beer selection and the real sugar fountain drinks. Please just continue down the street to Maple & Motor. Their burgers are good enough for you, right?

OMG this place is AMAZING!!! Burgers are so juicy and cooked to perfection. My mom had surgery done by a small hospital off Harry Hines and we all know hospital food sucks so relied on Unilocal to find this place and so glad we did truly a diamond in the rough. The fries are perfect. We live in Denton so haven’t been made it back but can’t wait to try all the other fantastic burgers. FYI– I believe they will be opening one in Frisco soon

Highlights: — The HMF — Decent prices — Comfy décor I came to Blues Burgers for lunch before it really picked up. The location seemed kind of strange but the interior was quite comfy. Service seemed quite friendly and they actually walked outside to let me know they were open(I had been standing around waiting for my +1). I had the HMF for lunch and I can’t say much more than that it blew my expectations away and was by far one of the better burgers I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be making another trip here sometime to see if their other burgers hold up as well.

I know this place is famous for the burgers, but I came here, saw the menu, and I leaned the other way — to the chicken sandwiches. Why? Because I couldn’t really find a burger that had the right mix of toppings that I liked — or I just wasn’t in the mood. Plus, the kind manager mentioned something about the chicken breast being marinated 24 hours — pretty impressive, for a burger joint. And so it was — I picked the Yardbird($ 10) which came with pepper jack cheese, mango chutney, grilled onion, lettuce, tomatoes, garlic aioli on riddled ciabatta bun. Now, I wouldn’t have normally ordered this, because of my past experience of eating sandwiches with pepper jack cheese(too spicy) and the ciabatta bun(normally came stale or dry whenever I order it). But wow, this place proved me wrong. It was one of the better, if not the best, chicken sandwich I had so far in the months I’ve been here in Dallas. I highly recommend it. The only downer is the tater tots. I normally like them, but theirs was just very subpar. I would pick a different side to replace the tater tots next time if that’s possible. The vibe inside is also nice and cool, even though the strip mall it is looks like it has seen better days; and they have Mexican paletas, key lime cheesecake and also dessert empanadas(aka fried pies) in the menu, which I thought was different, for an American-style burger joint.

Forgive me yet again for judging a book by its cover. I don’t know if it’s something about the name… Or maybe the location… But I expected a «good enough» burger place should I ever be craving a burger(which compared to most people isn’t all that often). Stepping through the door, though, I entered another world… This is a legitimately cool hang out spot. There’s plenty of seating, with a high chaired island in the middle so that you can get the feeling of sitting at a bar without staring awkwardly at a bartender(or that pretty looking bottle of gin). Instead, you have the choice of staring at a couple big screen TVs or a hot date(if you bring one). The customer service was perfect. The guy working(who, based on my eavesdropping skills, seems to be one of the«brothers» or at least their next door neighbor or something) was just chilling in the dining room but immediately jumped up to take my order. He was very accommodating and very personable. He seems to really have a passion for this place. The menu ‘sgot a ton of apps, burgers, and sandwiches as well as pies and such for dessert. The burger I got tasted great, maybe a little skimpy on the amount of meat. I wasn’t as full afterwards as I usually am from a burger, but it didn’t leave me hungry either. It seems a little pricey hovering at $ 12 – 14 per burger, but considering that includes some tasty frites on the side, it’s actually quite a bargain. With the 6 beers on tap containing Goose Island, a couple Revolvers, and others and a 4 – 7 happy hour each weekday and live blues every Friday night and all those good eats and drinks mentioned above… How can I not come back to hang out here?!?
