Established in 2012.

Benson-​Cobb [Studios] was founded in 2013. The concept began when Carol Benson-​Cobb wanted to offer a gallery quality reproduction of her work. A reproduction from the actual artist and not a «watered down version» limited due to manufacturing restraints. Carol saw the potential to offer a level of art that is not generally found in the wholesale realm. It has since expanded into new products such as wallpaper and fabric by the yard.

This isn’t your traditional artist’s bio… I have no formal training… I have been painting since I was a kid. My passion started with rock star portraits and a mad crush on Bono from U2. At 15, my bedroom walls had ceiling to floor murals of Bono, James Dean and Marilyn Monroe. I knew it was a passion, what teenager stays up until 3am painting her walls? I had no idea how to turn the hobby into a viable career… Over the past 20 years I have honed that passion into a business. In short…

«I am an abstract artist known for my custom colorization. My work reflects a feeling created within a color palette with an emphasis on the way colors layer and affect one another. My vision is to create a mood within the art, adding a hint of a landscape or focal point usually evoking a feeling of fluidity and emotion. My intentions are never to fully define a scene… but to lead viewers to the use of their own imagination and life experiences to fill in the gaps…»
