Bending Oaks High School

I don’t know how people can judge this school the way they do. I graduated in 1990, and it suited me just fine! I know the staff has changed, but really it’s a good school with no distractions, and the relationship between teacher and student is better than any public school in the nation. So may lightening strike all you naysayers, Bending Oaks Rocks!

My son was slipping through the cracks at his public school — his grades were dropping, he was skipping class, and I didn’t feel like the staff and faculty cared. I moved him to Bending Oaks his sophomore year and I could not be happier with my decision. He has flourished. He is engaged, he is held accountable, he LOVES going to school. The teachers and administrators really care about the success of every kid at Bending Oaks. Best decision I could have made for my son.

Way too much money for what your student will get. They will not be prepared for college or transfer to any decent public school for that matter. The administration puts on a really cool, kind, hippie act but they are really just trying to crank in and out as many students as they can muster $ 2000.00 a month out of. It is not a quality education, facility nor staff. Do not waste your time or invest your money and please, please do not allow your student to buy into the false façade of being a caring, compassionate place for kids. We learned this the hard way. Three kids and tons of money later and I just feel like I have been scammed! Really painful when it involves your kids!

I’m a senior at BOHS and I can honestly say I look forward to go to my classes and seeing my teachers. All of the faculty has helped me successfully apply to colleges. I love the small classes because you get to know the teacher on a personal level and vise versa. Having a small class gives me the opportunity to ask more questions and actually get them answered in a way that makes sense to me! We are given independence which is really going to help me when I leave for college in the fall. Bending Oaks gave me the skill set I need to graduate and I know I will excel in my college work. If I had stayed at my old public school, I probably wouldn’t be graduating on time and I would have much lower grades as well. Try it out for a day! See what YOU think! :)

I have to strongly agree with Janie T. Use extreme caution when looking at this school, should you make the choice to do so.
