Sarah Jones is Managing Broker and co-​founder of Bamboo Realty and Bamboo Leasing. She specializes in green living and urban real estate options including leasing, buying and selling in the Inner Loop and Galleria areas of Houston. Sarah received her GREEN designation from the National Association of Realtors in 2009. She was nominated in 2010 and again in 2011 for the Distinguished Service Award presented by the Green REsource Council for her commitment to advancing the green real estate industry and its practice. Let me tell you about Carver… people do not get more considerate, professional, or hard-​working than him.
I’m not really a 5-​star review kind of girl. I deal with a plethora of people and businesses and experience good and bad customer service on a daily basis. I’ve kind of gotten numb to it all and there’s only a handful of times a year when I work with someone and think, «Wow, this person deserves an award for exemplary service.» And it definitely happened with him.
He recommended some great properties, was very thoughtful (and not annoying) in his follow ups, and was an overall joy to work with (I should know I worked with 4 apartment locators to find my new place).
I would recommend that everyone do yourself a favor and call Bamboo and ask for him when you’re looking for your next apartment. You’ll be glad you did.

Kisha is absolutely amazing! This is my second time working with her and I tracked her down from her previous company, just to work with her again. She is always willing to help, I can always get a hold of her and she knows exactly what I am looking for. We are in the process of our second search and I think in one day we have already narrowed it down. This is called getting it done right! I don’t know what I would do without her. My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Cody Weaver. He is a true gem! Making a move into Texas from another state was scary, especially considering we were unfamiliar with the area, and had no personal contacts. Cody spent the entire weekend with us looking for homes, going through the trouble of calculating our drives to/​from work from every property. He gave us great information and was in tune with our needs. He listened to exactly what we wanted, and dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and effort to our house hunt. My husband and I loved the variety of options he showed us, and the fact that he was genuine and not a pushy salesman. Carver Bennett was the key to a smooth move from Nashville to Dallas! He picked us up at the airport and within 5 minutes we were at his first suggestion for relocation based on our input. As soon as we walked in I knew this was the spot for us. We visited many more spots that day and Carver was patient and truly listened to what we liked and didn’t like and crafted the tour of our new city based on that. Kisha Wilburn was my representative on a recent apartment hunt. She turned a task which I was honestly dreading into a truly enjoyable experience.
From the start, Kisha was very attentive and put in a real effort to understand my needs and desires in a new place; which really weren’t that clear at the time. The morning that I met her in Fort Worth to begin the search, she had a great list of options worked up including summaries and descriptions of what to expect. We worked our way from place to place and all along the way Kisha exhibited great knowledge of both the properties, as well as the industry in general. As I alluded to earlier; I really didn’t know exactly what I was looking for as this was my first time renting an apartment. Kisha was patient and asked relevant questions that ultimately led to me finding a place that I am truly excited to move into.
If it wasn’t for Kisha’s patience and honest effort I can truthfully say I would not have ended up in such a great new place. I would recommend Kisha to anyone tackling the sometimes daunting task of finding a new place in a big city.

We moved from GA on the 19th of this month, drove straight all day and night.
moving truck full of boxes, household goods and a car full of stuff and 12 year old daughter and two dogs.
My husband just got out of the U.S. ARMY medically and found a job here in TX so we had to move.
We found the house through a website, saw some pictures and face time but the day we came to the house it was not clean, the mold was coming through the paint, water was leaking and carpet was not clean like the landlord said. We contacted the landlord to see if maybe the cleaning person hadn’t cleaned. We got text from her saying house is as is…
We were so tired from driving, only thing we wanted to do was take a hot shower and go to sleep but the lady wouldn’t even answer our call. She made us wait 5 hours. I couldn’t even stay in the house because I’m Allergy to the mold and had an allergic reaction being in the house. My husband tried to call the office, Bamboo Realty, just to get passed around the office and false promises of return phone calls that never happened. We paid $ 2200 for deposit and she wouldn’t give our deposit back!
I hope no one has to go through this like we did!
We have a house that we rent in GA but we left it clean for the new tenants.

Another 5 star review for Cody! Great to work with, and really knows his stuff. Always responded promptly to emails, and definitely took a ton of the hassle out of touring apartments by setting up a schedule for me of places to visit. Best part was including options I would have never even considered, but that turned out to be great! Ended up signing with one of the apartments I toured with him on the same day as the tour. I’ll be recommending Cody to all my friends looking to move in the future.

Cody Weaver was a beyond helpful. I was moving from Houston to Dallas so I was rarely in Dallas while trying to find an apartment. Cody constantly updated me with information on available apartments and met with me (typically with little notice) multiple times over a 2 month period to see different units. He knows the Dallas area very well and can provide a lot of insight into what each area has to offer. Very personable and enjoyable to be around as well.

Cody Weaver is a lifesaver! I was looking for a place for a few months before I was referred to Cody, and pet restrictions were making it difficult to find a nice apartment.
Cody is very knowledgeable about the uptown/​downtown areas and he was able to recommend a great apartment. He was also available on a Friday night on short notice for the showing which was a plus. It was exactly what I wanted and I signed the lease the next day.
I would definitely work with Cody again and I will recommend his services to anyone I know looking in the Dallas area.

Carla Perez was an absolute gem to work with! My husband and I are moving from Houston to Dallas, and with myself being 9 months pregnant, there was no way we could drive up to Dallas ourselves to view the properties.
The first thing Carla did was to send me an initial set of listings based on my criteria (the same evening) and then called me the next morning and get «the real story» on our preferences after I looked through the listing. That was a really critical step as she was quickly able to interview us and find out «what we are really looking for».
She was so supportive of our critiques and made it all about what we wanted rather than justifying what was great about a place we didn’t love — this was a great quality, as I’ve dealt with other realtors that seem to not listen to you when you say you don’t like something!
She also went to view and do a video walk-​through of multiple locations, often the same day either we saw the listing or sent her one we liked! Her communication skills are superb and she will be in frequent contact with you and update you on the process — it made me feel like we were in good hands. She also was on top of our landlord’s realtor, who was very slow and not responsive, and she would constantly call, email and text him and then send me updates.
Carla also was willing to meet up a family friend of mine and show her the place, just to ease my tension/​worries. While there, Carla noticed termites outside the home and immediately informed us and told the Landlord’s realtor that this needs to be remediated and had it written in the lease. She also negotiated on our behalf and got us $ 100 less rent a month without asking us — she just went for it and we got it! She also is making sure everything is taken care of — like carpet cleaning, home cleaning and termite removal prior to us getting there, so she follows through all the way to the end.
It felt like a true partnership with Carla and I would highly recommend her! You will be in good hands.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Semida Voicu at Bamboo Realty, and she was wonderful in finding us a great place on a very tight time frame. With less than two weeks to find an apartment before moving to the Dallas area, Semida worked quickly to put together a comprehensive list of possible apartments that fit our needs and get us a great deal.
As we were renting without being able to actually see any of the apartments, having someone give us their honest opinions about different neighborhoods was more than helpful. She was extremely kind and responsive (often answering e-​mails within minutes of us sending them), and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again.
