If I could give this company a negative score I would. I called after hours (6:30 pm), they said someone would come the next day. A week later, I called the office to find out if they intended on sending anyone out, and they joked that the guy who lives in another town and gets no cell reception must not have gotten their calls. Wonderful. Next day, a guy and his kid come out, look at the air handling unit, and the laughing and jokes began. Laughed with snide and inconsiderate comments, quoting $ 2000 to fix the problem, which seemed to be hilarious to him. I wasn’t laughing. I needed this problem to get fixed, and since I would have to beg, borrow and steal to raise the money, I was hoping the repair man would treat the situation with courtesy and professionalism. But no, the guy left saying he would be back later that day. A week later I called the office again to find out what the hell was going on and why no one ever came back to actually work on my AC. Bill said he’d call the joker who came out the previous week and have him call me back. I declined further service.
Do not do business with this company unless you want to get jerked around and treated like the butt of a joke. Zero professionalism, zero accountability.

CROOKS! I spoke with Bill Nicks, nice gentleman (the straight man). He answered the phone but of course knew nothing about pricing. (Just like all these other crooks in the ac biz, wanting $ 80 just to show up, not even knowing if they can fix your issue. And they’ve been in service for year, but can’t confirm a cost for anything.)
Anyway, so I tell Bill my issue. He says he’s going to have Roger (the shyster) give me a call back. Roger calls back quickly. I tell Roger just what I told Bill. My dog chewed through my temperature/​control wiring and the insulation housing. (TWO WIRES & padding). How much to come out and reconnect, replace the two wires and, reinstall insulation. ROGER tries to upsell me on a protective housing to ever prevent this sort of thing from happening again. I say, ok… How much? $ 473, he says…(!!!) «Get the off my phone.!» Is this housing made of kryptonite. Okay, Roger, how much without the housing. He mumbles, (I can literally hear the evil hamster wheel in his head turning, he says, $ 293! I thank him for his time, and hang up before I even hear his departure.
What I didn’t tell Roger. This is the second time it’s happened. The ac repair man who did it last time, was booked until Saturday. My wife stays home and I wanted to see about getting it repaired sooner. The charge was $ 80 for 10 minutes of work! Crook! Shysters! Swindlers! Now I see why my regular guy is always busy… Because he’s honest and gives people a fair deal. Steer clear of this place unless you don’t care about being treated fairly.

I had my new furnace and A/​C coil installed last week and I couldn’t be happier. After getting a couple quotes and being on a tight budget, I decided to pull the trigger on an American Standard furnace at a very low price. The installers were great and worked quickly, but efficiently. They made sure everything worked properly, looked good, and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend their services for all your A/​C and Heating needs.
The helpful sales rep even helped find financing for my home improvement upgrade.

We’ve used AACE first for our LG dryer that went out about a year ago. They sent someone out right away, assessed the problem, ordered the part and was back in a couple of days to fix our dryer. It’s been working wonderfully ever since.
So when I got an OE error message from our LG front load washer due to our washer no longer properly draining, I called AACE again. They got someone out the same day. Roland (the tech) called 30 minute prior to arrival and within the 3 hour window I was given. Roland was able to quickly assess the problem by turning on my washer and hearing that funny drumming-​like sound. He said it was the blades on the drain pump and he would order the part and hoped to be out the next day.
Well, to my surprise, he did get the part the next day (today), and the fan for the drain pump (if I’m describing it correctly) was broken and he replaced it and now it’s working wonderfully! I also appreciate that it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg to get this repair work done.
The only reason why I rated this with a 4-​star rather than 5-​stars is because I was told I would be called yesterday evening to let me know if he could get the part and return today to make the repair, but no one ever called. So I called this morning and was told they’d check on that for me and call me back. After about an hour or so, when I didn’t hear from anyone, I called again. I was finally called back and was told Roland (the tech) was able to get the part and would be out today to make the repair.
I think these guys do a great job, are reliable, are honest and provide timely service. If they could improve their communication skills, I would be happy to upgrade them to 5 stars. :o)

Never, ever use this company.
They are unreliable, told us we had to replace an entire part due to «old age» that was less than 5 years old. When we got a second opinion, they were about to replace a perfectly good part because they missed a hole in a previous installation they did. When we told them, they blamed it on a «faulty meter» but it binged for a problem with an expensive install but missed the leak elsewhere. Right.
We asked for a different repair person because we didn’t trust the first one (to correct the mistake in the first installation– which should be a no charge service because it’s their mistake and covered under warranty) and they refused to have someone else take over.
They have been late for every repair. We are currently waiting for over two hours for an appointment at 5 that they told us at 4:50 — after we drove 30 minutes to the property, which they knew — that they would actually be there at 6:30. But now it’s 7:10 and he’s «almost there». Given my husband has to have the repair made, then drive home, and then be up for work before 6 am, this is totally unacceptable. If they had asked for a 7 pm appointment, he would have said NO.
So, faulty and possibly fraudulent repairs, total inability to keep to a schedule, terrible communication. If you want that sort of service, call these guys.

One of the best AC repair experiences I ever had. My compressor on my outdoor fan went out last week which basically meant that I needed a new outdoor condensor and since my AC system was old I was contemplating changing the compressor or getting the system replaced with a new one. I called int he morning and spoke to Roger who was extremely helpful and within minutes after talking to him on the phone e-​mailed me quotes for the 3 options I had to repair my AC and I decided to go with a new outdoor fan unit (condensor) along with new coils (basically a new system). When I finally called them back at around 3:30 PM to tell them what I wanted I was surprised when Roger asked me if I wanted the system installed that same day, which I said yes. Around 6 PM they arrived at my house and stayed until 10 PM to get the new system installed. They did a great job and were very professional. I now have cool air in this hot Texas heat. I highly recommend these guys.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME! I called on Saturday for an air conditioning repair. The man on the phone said he would have a service man call me right back. No one ever did. I then tried scheduling the service through their online scheduling system. No one called me back. So after 48 hours I called again and got the same guy who didn’t even apologize. He just asked for the same information I gave him on Saturday and also through their website.
I told him to forget it. If they still don’t have the information and it takes over 48 hours just to schedule service, how long are you going to wait on the guy to show up.
Don’t call these people.

THEY DON’T STAND BY THEIR SERVICE
I called AACE last year when my drier went out. First they said it was the heating element, which was replaced. Then the drier made a horrible noise and they said they had to replace the motor and bearings. Three weeks ago, the noise started again. I called both the company’s main number and the technician, NEITHER HAS RETURNED MY CALL AND I’VE CALLED 2−3x/wk FOR THREE WEEKS! In frustration, I called another service company who showed up the day after I called, to confirm that the motor was bad. When I called AACE again to complain and tell them that I was going to post this, the owner (who I’ve talked to before) said he knew nothing about this. Now he wants me to fax over copies of all my receipts and he’ll see what he can do, but since it’s out of their 90-​day warranty, there’s no promises. We’ll see if he calls back.
