Don’t be fooled by the exterior; Inside you will find the most delicious Italian fare. The service is excellent.

This is a charming little restaurant in the Lakewood area, offering Italian fare and a calm, romantic atmosphere. The food here is prepared fresh and according to the owner/chef many of the ingredients are organic, locally sourced and often purchased that same day. What does that mean? It means you’re going to love what you order. The entire restaurant is a calm, quiet place. Perfect for a romantic date or for dinner with the family. The menu is simple, but adequate. No pizza, so those with kids may want to think ahead. The wine menu is good as well, with plenty of offerings to pair with your meal. Overall, this is a wonderful little restaurant and one the local community can be proud of. Enjoy!

Visited on Tuesday night, January 26, 2016, and after the most delightful meals of linguine alfredo with shrimp and Andrea’s caneloni, with a Bud Light and a house red wine, we learned that Tuesday night is buy-one-get-one-free. The perfect capper on a perfect meal. The finesse of the plates, including the shrimp Stella appetizer, made this Italian meal the best we have enjoyed in Dallas. The staff and service were wonderful. The prices are relatively low, not even considering the free plate. Definitely a return in the offing.

Food is really good(had the chicken parmigiana and fettuccine Alfredo) but portions were slightly small for the price.

This is a little boutique place next to where I live. All I have to say is the food is awful, I would never recommend anyone to eat here. Not only did the first meal I ordered they ordered wrong, the second one was right but yuck! Hole in the wall, bad food awful service…

One of my favorite places to eat. Food is delicious. Service is ok, nice place if you want a romantic setting. The chef is also the owner and the only cook in the kitchen. Chicken cordon Bleu is amazing, mozzarella salad.

So, I don’t expect that the neighborhood Italian to be of Nonna quality or authenticity. Mind you, I am perfectly fine going to your standard meatball-and-lasagna joint such as Lovers or Verona or Eddie’s Neapolis for my unpretentious carb fix. But, having lived practically next door to Andrea’s for almost two years and not visited, the hubby and I finally decided to order take out from them the other night. I had the pasta carbonara… and I wish I hadnt! A real carbonara sauce really only has pancetta(alright, I can accept regular bacon) and its rendered fat, fresh parmigiana cheese, olive oil and the pasta water whisked together and with the egg yolk mixed in at the end. On occasion, a small amount of heavy cream might find its way in there. So… what did I get instead you ask? Instead of the pancetta, they put(albeit a very generous amount since it is so expensive) prosciutto in it! This made it incredibly salty(don’t get me wrong, I LOVE prosciutto) and the sauce was like a bland, grainy rendered Alfredo sauce which seemed to have scrambled WHOLE eggs in it, not just one creamy egg yolk. My husband had the shrimp stella appetizer which nothing spectacular and the«lobster and crab sauce» was a mere bisque with not a trace of neither crab nor lobster meat. He also had the fried calamari, which I guess was fine(but it is hard to go wrong with calamari) However, I do have to say that the complimentary bread was great; the right amount of saltiness, and soft moist chewiness. If they can get their entrees up to the standard of their bread, they should be fine.

This place really surprised us. Nothing to look at from the outside, but we decided to give it a try. Lots of menu options(3 risottos?! Yum!), delicious food, and they were very accommodating of my son’s special request(penne with Alfredo). Best carbonara I’ve had in a long time; salad dressing was great; bread and balsamic dip were delicious. Definitely a weekly joint for us from now on!

This is our 4th or 5th time here. We’ve been to all the nearby Italian restaurants and this is the one that reminds us most of Italy. This is not American Italian like Olive Garden or Macaroni grill so you can keep your cheap breadsticks if you like. The Veal picatta is cooked perfectly. Good citrus flavor in a good white wine reduction. The chicken mushroom risotto is soul warming. Gnocchi and cavatelli are also authentic. We’re happy to support this family owned and operated ristorante.

This place is awesome. The service is decent, but the food is great. I’ve had the bolognese, the risotto, and the ravioli. All are great and filling. Definitely worth a trip if you’re wanting some good authentic Italian food!

It’s hard to mess up pasta but they do just that. The vibe of this restaurant is sad and dark. The chicken in the pasta was questionable and dry! And portion sizes and price are way off. Go anywhere else for Italian in Lakewood!

Family owned and operated. Their décor is somewhat old fashioned but comfortable. Their pastas are homemade and their sauces are delicious. I had the angel hair pasta with shrimp and fresh zucchini and tomatoes with a light garlic sauce. My partner ordered the fettuccine alfredo, one of the best versions I’ve tasted. Great little gem of a restaurant which we almost wrote off because the exterior looks like they were abandoned or closed.

The Shrimp Stella was terrible. Four pieces of tiny shrimp with absolutely no flavor. It’s worth driving a few extra minutes for flavorful Italian cuisine.

No service! We walked in at 5:01 p.m. on a Wednesday night(the hours are 5:00 p. m to 10:00 p.m.). The entire restaurant was empty save a group of employees sitting at a table in a far corner of the restaurant. After standing at the host stand for about 45 seconds, a young woman(a worker I presume) yelled from across the room(where she was sitting with the group of employees): «There’s nobody here to seat you». We said«okay» and sat ourselves. While sitting at the table waiting for a waiter to acknowledge our presence, I overheard an employee talking on her cell phone about what hours she was wanting to work. After sitting at the table for about 5 minutes with absolutely no response from any staff(no waiter acknowledged us or asked what we would like to drink), we got up to walk out. On the way out we passed what appeared to be a waiter — he didn’t ask where we were going or if anything was wrong. We left and went to eat at Verona’s on Garland Road(A+). The owner of Andrea’s needs to know that their employees are leaving customers with a «we don’t care» attitude. Awful, awful, awful.

Our friends introduced us to this place tonight, and we couldn’t have had a more delightful time. The outside looks a little hole-in-the-wall, but the inside is a romantic, warm Italian café. We went early and took our toddler, and Alfonzo was so kind to him as he got a little fussy waiting on the adults to eat. We appreciate that kind of hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious(I had salmon, while my husband had chicken Parmesan), and the wine paired well. We will be back mostly for the coziness though – that feeling of being in a restaurant that is more like the home of a friend(who can cook really, really well).

We went to the Gaston Ave location expecting something very casual, and were surprised to find beautiful décor and excellent service with fine dining menu options. We both ordered pasta dishes which were excellent. We also love the free bruschetta and the fresh baked bread was so amazingly tasty. We will definitely be going back to this location!

Andrea’s new location is definately a MUST! Different venue… same great food! My wife and I discovered this restaurant through a friend a few years back! Items on the menu are different than at other local Italian venues. Alphonso, proprietor and chef is extremely personable and will go out of his way to come and meet and greet his clients. Sometimes service can be a bit slow, but the yummy food is worth the wait.

Used a Groupon and based on the staff’s reaction you would have thought we were getting our meal for free. Service is slow and almost non existent on a Sunday night with only one occupied table when we arrived and a total of five when we were checking out. I had to request bread and olive oil. The olive oil was very weak I think it was probably cut with another low grade vegetable oil. Food was average.

My fiancé and I went to this restaurant on 2÷14÷2013. I had bought a groupon that they were offering online so we thought we would give it a try. I followed the directions on the groupon and called and made a reservation and let them know I was going to be using a groupon. When we arrived to the restaurant, I told the server we had a reservation and would be using a groupon. She went to talk with her manager about it. She came back and then stated that they didn’t have my reservation. I told them who I talked with and finally they allowed us to use it. We then placed our order, with mine being the steak. About 5 minutes later our server came back to the table and told us that they didn’t have any. I then ordered the special, which she told me was sea bass. Again, 5 minutes later she came back and told me that it wasn’t actually sea bass but salmon. Finally 20 minutes later we received our food. My fiancé’s food was okay at best, while my salmon was very overcooked. After we finished, they brought us our bill, where they added on 18% gratuity. No where on the menu or groupon did it say anything about this. The service we received was not worth the gratuity they were requiring us to pay. We will NOT be going back.

A fantastic hidden gem in East Dallas! From the outside you would not expect much, but once you step inside you are pleasantly surprised. Wonderful atmosphere with soft lighting, music, candles and gracious service. The food is wonderful! Calamari is lightly breaded. House salad is divine with a savory balsamic vinegarette. Cavaletti was perfect and the Chicken Picatta was delicious. You cannot go wrong with anything on this menu!
