Amico’s Pizza & Pasta

We have ordered from here 4 times now. We take advantage of their large pizza with wings special for $ 15 on eat24. It has been great each time. We get cheese with pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeño. It’s always good. My husband loves their wings too.
I would say it usually takes 45 – 60 minutes to deliver almost always. But this is what they communicate, and it’s worth the wait. It’s never cold on arrival or anything like that.
This pizza is very good thin crust. Give them a shot. :) we live downtown and can get any delivery place. We keep coming back to this one.

I am still waiting for my food… they told me 40 minutes and it’s been close to two hours. I called the restaurant and the lady old me 5 minutes, well it’s been 30 minutes… I will NEVER order from them again. I bet my food will be cold and SUCK!!!

Terrific meat lovers pizza!

Sadly, nothing about their food is good. The pizza is worse than most frozen pizzas. As for the rest of the food, the marinara tastes like bad catsup, therefore, the spaghetti, ravioli, chicken parm, and lasagna are hard to actually eat. Maybe, this would be a good place to eat if you wanted to lose weight? The customer service was great, though. If I need a soft drink, I might drop in but not for food.

Pros: Very quick delivery. I’ve ordered at work for lunch and dinner at home, and in general my items were delivered between 30 – 45 minutes later.
Cons: pizza kinda tastes like cardboard. Thank goodness for the red pepper flakes to give some flavoring. Pasta is seriously on the same level as lean cuisine.
But… It’s edible. And relatively inexpensive. Especially when you’re hungry, and unwilling to wait 120 minutes for other guys to deliver.

I had a ridiculous experience ordering pizza from this place. I called and specifically asked the owner (he answered the phone) for a large pizza with certain toppings. As I did not have their menu on hand, I asked him then to list non-​bacon/​ham toppings I could further add. He then proceeded to list every pizza ingredient that contained bacon and ham. I then repeated, «No, I cannot order any pork items, I have two friends here who do not eat pork.» The owner then finally retorted «Hamburger.» I am not from the US, and sometimes do not know some very basic food facts. So, to confirm, I asked «Okay, so the hamburger has no pork in it?»
The OWNER of Amico’s then replies, «I don’t know, I have no idea.»
My American friend later advised that hamburger was actually all beef. How could the owner/​chief operator of a restaurant be clueless to this?
Something went very wrong with this conversation. Either the owner did not like the fact that I wished to avoid ordering pork, or he is simply one daft man.
The pizza itself, when it arrived, was mediocre. I had asked for jalapenos, and someone covered the pie with so much of it, that it was quite difficult to eat. And I am from South-​East Asia and love my spicy dishes…
Makes me wonder if the owner did this out of spite. I’m really confused with my experience at this establishment.

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. I ordered the jalapeño and pepperoni with an olive oil base and it was phenomenal. Really a great experience!

Terrible customer service. This is too bad because the food was always some of the better delivery food in my area. And I always had luck with them.
I just ordered from this place using a third party app. It was 20 minutes late so I called the third party to figure out what was going on. I was told the restaurant called me and I didn’t answer so they would try to deliver again in an hour.
I called the restaurant, very frustrated, in full disclosure, this frustration was clearly reflected in my tone. I explained that my phone has not been powered off in over a month and I have missed zero phone calls. A man claiming to be the owner became immediately hostile, telling me that I was calling him a liar with the fake offense and indignation of an undisciplined child. (imagine «How Dare You!» squeeled in some over acted underfunded off Broadway play). Rather than try to resolve the problem he decided that I could be bullied with a continued hostile tone that I imagine is generally reserved for his staff coupled with shrieking assertions that he was in charge and the owner. Because I don’t work for him, I didn’t care.
In any event, over an hour after delivery I find out that I’m getting no food.

Do NOT order the fettuccine Alfredo. It was bland and the pasta broke apart when I tried twirling it around my fork. It tastes WORSE than frozen food… even the super healthy kind.
The side salad was good. The bread was meh.
On the plus side, delivery was super fast and the pasta was hot. AND they delivered right to my apt door, instead of making me come down (unlike other places that deliver here). But I’d rather pay for edible food.

I really like their pizza-​every time I’ve ordered it has been very tasty. I am giving only 3 stars because the first thing out of the delivery drivers mouth when I opened the door was «says here you are tipping with cash?». I had paid with a card online so apologized for not having cash and offered to add a tip to the receipt. He very firmly stated I couldn’t do that. Made me very uncomfortable and will not be ordering from them again.
Addendum: delivery driver called me 3 times back to back in a two minute period after delivering my pizza and left me a message stating I can call back to add a tip. I am truly shocked at the persistence over asking for a tip. I’ve never had anything like that happen before. Just very odd…

Ew. I keep accidentally ordering from their place through grub hub when I’m in the mood for pizza. The third or fourth time, I had had enough. Their pizza is just awful and makes me feel bloated. I’m not even «gluten sensitive». Never ever buying from here again. Ever. Their pizza just doesn’t taste good. Tastes and feels like cardboard. The people are nice though so they get two stars.

Ehh. Decent at best. Pizza was over priced for the size and had a ton of flour caked on the bottom of it. Salad was what you would expect from a mediocre pizza place. Just a bunch of lettuce cores and some banana peppers. Garlic bread is just toast with garlic powder sprinkled on it. I’d pass unless its all that is open near you.

Its Christmas eve and we were craving pizza. This place was open and had online ordering so we decided to try it. The online ordering was very easy and actually worked. We received email confirmation within 5 minutes. We called about 10 minutes later to ask for them to bring ranch with the order.
The pizza arrived within 30 minutes of ordering. The delivery guy was very friendly and polite. We had ordered a cheese pizza with pepperoni and roma tomatoes. The order was correct and included the ranch as well as parmesan and red pepper flakes.
The puzza itself was fresh and delicious. The crust was thin and crisp. The cheese and other toppings were great as well. We both really enjoyed the pizza.
Overall, for myself, the simple ordering, fast delivery, and good pizza on christmas eve gives this place 4 stars.

What a wonderful experience! We ordered a Hawaiian pizza with red onions and two house salads with Italian vinaigrette.
Within 30 minutes the driver was at our door, with piping hot pizza (This is particularly important when it is 34 degrees out) and two salads.
Pizza was delicious, nice and buttery with a good sauce/​cheese/​toppings ratio.
Now, the pizza itself is a great pizza.
What made it exceptional was the service. Driver was prompt and polite, reminded us that we had entered the ‘tip in cash’ option, and was very gracious upon receiving a tip. What else can you ask for?
We’ll be ordering this again.

One day this past week, I decided to dine in. My food was right on time. The lasagna was good, salad was ok and their meatballs are large and pretty delicious. I was satisfied… Not much more to say about it.

Firstly, I am traveling, and they deliver to my hotel. Yay! The only other nearby places who deliver were Dominoes and Pizza Hut. Um, no thank you.
Anyway, I saw a few negative reviews and just have to say my experience was wonderful, from the friendly, upbeat person who took my order to the kind, professional delivery driver who delivered my pizza with a warm smile, sooner than the estimated time I was given, to the amazing pizza with my favorite toppings. I’m sorry others didn’t get this experience and I can only imagine it was maybe an off night?
Anyway, the PIZZA!!! Thin little crust of perfection. Crispy and chewy at the same time, exactly how I like it. Perfect amount of sauce and cheese, and generous toppings. By the way, here’s my fave; You should try it: pepperoni, Canadian bacon, green Olive, green onion, mushroom and artichoke hearts. Bomblicious! Woot!
To the staff at Amicos tonight, you all deserve a raise. Seriously. It’s hard to find genuine, kind, warm people delivering such great service and a delicious product anymore. They’ve both become a rare art form that you seem to have mastered. Thank you for feeding my belly and my soul.

HORRIBLE delivery service! I waited 45 minutes into my order, only to be then told I would have to wait ANOTHER HOUR because they only have ONE person delivering and his car broke down. NO offer to compensate me in any way for the frustration.

Very delicious pizza, but the only thing I would say to improve would be the flour on the bottom of the crust. It was a little too floury tasting but overall the pizza was delicious! Also ordered a side of fries and they gave me plenty! A little too salty for my taste but my fiancé loved them. The pizza is very thin so I suggest getting the extra large of sharing with more than 2 people. Will order again!
