History

Established in 1986.

Alternate Systems was founded as a manufacturer’s representative for Fischer Technology’s line of non-​destructive coating and plating analyzers. In 1988, Alternate Systems began offering calibration services for coating thickness instruments as well as creating both foil and plated coating thickness standards. Since 1994, Alternate Systems expanded into a fully capable metrology laboratory which capabilities now include electrical, temperature and weight/​mass.
