4224 Swiss OB-Gyn

Despite the personal recommendations I had on the doctors here, the reviews made me slightly nervous about the reception staff but I was pleasantly surprised. They have always been responsive and quick to help me with any questions. I have seen both Dr Harper and Dr Littrel, and they are great, I really can’t say enough about how comfortable they have made every visit for first time parents. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment either.

Every doctor, nurse, and member of the staff is amazing here. They are some of the kindest and most caring people I’ve ever met. I highly recommend them

Dr. Gunby is a great doctor. You always feel like you (and your growing family) are in great hands with him.
More than once, we arrived to the office on time for an appointment and then sat around in the waiting room for over an hour.
I get that OBs have unpredictable schedules and get called away to do deliveries on short notice (presumably this was the reason for our long and unexpected waits), but I wish they had some better system for handling it.
I do recommend this place for the outstanding care. But just know that you should budget a lot of extra time for each appointment, and don’t be surprised if you get in much later than they told you.

When I first got pregnant, I tried to schedule an appointment for my 8 week sono with Dr. Litrell– but when I heard she was booked for the entire next month, I made an appointment with the next available Dr who happened to be Dr Payne… Best decision ever! He’s awesome. I remember my very first appointment he was a bit late to– but he told me he got tied up with another patient and said, «if my patients ever need to talk– I spend as long with them as it takes». And that is something I respect and WANT in my doctor! I leave every appointment feeling a million times more relaxed and reassured then when I went in, he just has a way of making you feel like every concern you have is normal (which was very comforting for a nervous first time mom like me!) I also gained well over the recommended amount during my pregnancy and he never once made me feel bad about it– or even mentioned it! He’s more worried about my health and my baby’s health, my blood pressure and testing, etc than the extra lbs I put on. When I had to take a trip to L&D in the middle of the night for terrible tendinitis, he wasn’t even the on-​call Dr but showed up anyway to check on me. Truly a great guy. Do not overlook the male Drs in this practice!!!
That being said– a few negatives. The scheduling nurses are not all that… Never outright rude but always cold and unwelcoming. Maybe they put up with a lot of shit though, so who am I to say. Also, I’ve seen a lot of people complain about their dr being late and I have experienced this too– but it’s because they sometimes need to DELIVER BABIES. Babies don’t care about your scheduled appointments!!!

Just as I was about to pick up and leave (1 hour after my scheduled appointment time), they called me back to sit in a room undressed for another 30 minutes! Ridiculous! I did not realize I needed to take a half day off work for a routine Drs appointment!

It’s been a long, long time since I’ve had such a poor experience at a doctor’s office. I arrived early for my first appointment and filled out the many forms, including the health history/​profile.
The nurse called me back, sat me in a hallway, and proceeded to ask me questions that were clearly written on my health history form. Private, gynecological health questions. In a hallway. With people walking past and sitting in rooms with open doors. Then she told me that the doctor had stepped out, but she would call me when he returned. Stepped out? We did have an appointment, right?
Forty-​five minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I asked the receptionist if I would see the doctor soon. She said she would check and let me know. One hour and 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I was on hold with another doctor’s office waiting to schedule the appointment I should have already had, when the doctor called me back. No apology or even acknowledgement of the delay.
In his office, he proceeded to ask me additional history questions that I had answered on the form. Then I told him why I was there, had my five-​minute exam, and left.
A pelvic exam is humiliating enough without having to give a detailed medical history within earshot of the entire office and be completely disrespected by a doctor who clearly doesn’t give a damn. Surely there are better physicians in this city. I’m anxious to find one.

I love Dr. Litrrell ! I have been seeing for years and she makes the dreaded yearly visit a piece of cake ! I have nothing negative to say about her or her staff. She makes you feel very comfortable.

Fabulous. The only place who was able to diagnose me with what I had– endometriosis. I saw Dr. Harper, and she performed surgery on me the following week. The experience was very smooth, and she was very supportive. One of the best doctors I’ve ever met.

I adore Dr. Littrell. I drive out of my way (live in Mansfield, work on the other side of Dallas) just to go see her. A close friend had her two children with her and recommended her to me. The first time I went to see her was my 8 week appointment with my first child. I was nervous, what if I didn’t like her and I was stuck having my baby with this doctor. My husband and I loved her. She is so sweet, has great bedside manner, knowledgeable and I completely trust her. I went back to her for my second child and she will be delivering me in the next few weeks. I would 100% recommend her to anyone.

I have been seeing the same OB/​Gyn for 10+ years, but wanted someone who delivers at Baylor Dallas. Dr. Littrell was highly recommened to me by several people, so I gave her a try. I had a positive experience with her. I had never met her before, so she came into the room with me and talked to me first. I liked that my first exposure to her was when I was more relaxed and clothed. We talked about various things, some having nothing to do with me (made me feel more comfortable). She answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed, even though I knew she had tons of patients to see (I could see them all when I was waiting in the waiting room). Her nurse (or medical assistant??) wasn’t too friendly, but maybe it was an off day for her. I didn’t have to wait long at all (compared to the other OB/​Gyn I went to) and the front office staff was really nice. I rarely have been to doctors offices with such nice front office staff!
As far as the STD screaning goes, there was a form for me to sign, stating whether I wanted the tests done or not. It did say not all insurance companies pay for it. Dr. Littrell talked to me about it. I didn’t feel pressured at all, and I think I ended up paying maybe $ 15 for the test.

I can’t even comment on Dr. Littrell due to her staff. I called for a new patient appointment and the lady who answered the phone was rude and could not be less interested in helping me schedule an appointment. My impression of this place… If I am treated this way just trying to schedule a NEW PATIENT appointment, how is the rest of my experience going to be??? Dr. Littrell, you need to handle your staff… they are scaring away potential patients with their unprofessional attitudes.

So I have been looking for a good OB/​GYN lately and found this doctor on my insurance providers preferred network doc list. I initially chose this location due to the super close proximity to my house. Another contributing factor… its about a 2min walk from the Taco Joint. I try to make my appointments around lunch time to I can grab a bite to eat after my visit! I’m sure a lot of really inappropriate jokes could be made right about now… I will refrain.
Dr. Christina Littrell is my doc and she is the bomb! After my first visit with her I knew that she would be my regular doc as long as I’m living in Dallas. Initially went to have an IUD put in and Dr. Littrell pulled me into her office to do an initial history. She was really friendly and chatty and even mentioned how she had lived in the same apartment complex while she was in med school. We talked about options, the procedure, etc. and I immediately felt comfortable with her.
The process was actually quite difficult due to my personal anatomy and I was in a considerable amount of pain both during and following the procedure. Dr. Littrell repeatedly apologized and even told me at one point that I could curse her name if it made me feel any better. She did a great job of keeping the mood light and my spirits high. When she realized I was in significant pain she asked if I wanted to stop or if I wanted more pain meds. I didn’t want to stop because I am not a quitter, so I asked for more drugs. She had her nurse whip me up a little drug cocktail and then gave me a few minutes to just lay down, regain my composure and let the pain meds kick in. They were finally able to get everything done and she urged me to make a follow up within the next month to make sure I was ok. Dr. Littrell was even kind enough to write me a script for pain meds to help out at home since I had had such a rough time.
At my follow up appointment, Dr. Littrell immediately remembered me and even asked if I still hated her. I knew she was joking with me and appreciated her candor. She checked me out immediately and was pleasantly surprised that everything had gone so well. I have never felt so unbelievable comfortable with any doctor and you can tell that this woman is truly great at what she does. I highly recommend her to all my Unilocal ladies out there!
