Been with them since I’ve moved to FL in 2012. never really had problems with them unless I needed a couple rolls of quarters. one incident I literally had to wait 15 minutes bc the particular teller didn’t have any, but after quickly receiving an affirmative that a colleague had rolls in her drawer, I just had to stand and watch this teller twiddle her thumbs for the next 15 minutes until her colleague was done helping a customer. How hard is it to quickly grab a roll? The colleague couldn’t take 2 seconds to hand over a roll? It’s ridiculous.
Then, when I tried to get quarters via drive-​thru, I learned that rolls of quarters can’t be sent through the delivery system, fine, so she tells me to come in and there’s no customers so it’ll be quick. I park and when I get in, another customer gets in ahead of me and is helped by the teller first, ok fine. I see the teller in the back that I had interaction with manning an empty drive-​thru. I attempt to make eye-​contact with her as she walks towards another teller to exchange a few words and then return to her post empty of customers… what the heck! 5 minutes pass before a customer drives into the drive-thru.and I’m still waiting to be helped.
And on another occasion, a teller had told me they were out of quarter rolls except just the one she handed me. YOU’RE THE BANK, how are you out of quarters?! No apologies whatsoever… customer service needs work here.
I’m SO GLAD Suncoast has the banking app for check deposits, so convenient not having to go in and deal with staff that move at a snail’s pace and don’t make customer service a priority.

We had mistakenly been short paying our car loan by a whopping $ 1.83 per month… Totally our fault. BUT, instead of calling all of our contact numbers or sending us a letter, SSFCU reports this to the credit bureaus and dings my wife’s and my credit by 100 points. When called about this, they said «not our fault». I will be ending my relationship as soon as I can, and I will go with a credit union that care enough to call/​mail about things like this before killing my credit. A little human touch vs. automated calling would have solved this. All for $ 1.83/month…nice customer service!
