Scream-A-Geddon

I would have to say this is the most adult fun at Halloween I’ve ever had. I’ve been to many versions of Halloween horror nights, and between the insanely long waits, ridiculously expensive prices, and more than predictable experience it has just became a lost cause. I had lost hope for these type of events and hadn’t gone in many many years.
But scream-​o-​gedden has refueled my fire. I will be anxiously awaiting next year to make my next visit. And plan on bringing a pack with me since I have shared my experience and have many other interested friends.
The price is more than respectable in comparison to other venues and events. The carnival midway style food hits the spot, but maybe some food trucks could enhance the experience. Having beer on tap from a local Brewer was a major added plus.
Now for the meat and potatoes. What’s more scary, a theme park or being in the middle of the woods in the middle of no where!!! Talk about setting the scene right from the get go. From the second you walk through the gates you feel like you are in a scary movie that’s about to start.
One thing I loved was their motto of not cattle calling everyone through the house. It’s not very scary when you are in a Congo line going through a haunted house.
2 of the scare houses where average at best, standard issue walk through. But the other 3 events take the cake.
The hay ride through the woods was a great change to your standard haunted house. Although I feel like they could’ve had better scripted events and interactions, it was a great start on their 1^st year. Just the idea alone of going out in the middle of the woods on a tractor pull is scary enough.
The walk through the woods was one of the best. I truly felt as if I was walking through a scary movie that was about to become real. Again what’s more scary then actually walking through some dark woods in the middle of nowhere! And the little backwoods houses and villages they had set up fit the scene perfectly. And the fact you were only going in groups of 2 – 4 you were truly experiencing the thrills and chills yourself.
Finally the by far winner was the walk through yard and house of the «infected». They made you go in groups of just 2 and spread far enough apart you had no clue what was coming your way. I was truly immersed in the event and terrified with every step of what I would encounter next. I was literally tip toeing, peeking around corners, and shielding my wife as we went into dark rooms and around corners. I will not go into anymore details to avoid spoiler alerts for next year. But safe to say if I went to just 1 haunted house and it was that one I would be coming back year after year.
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME GOING ANYWHERE ELSE. Scream-​a-​gedden will now be a definite every year event for us!

This place was a great scare and I enjoyed each and every venue. They had 5 venues and each was unique in its own way. The best one that I liked the most was the Dead Woods trail. That by far was the best one out of the all the venues that I enjoyed the most because I was actually legitimately scared and ran! Lol. The only venue to make me do that. I recommend this place and the fast pass was definitely a plus! Got to go through each one with a smooth transition. It was a great first Unilocal Elite event for me. Enjoyed it tons! Take your friends and go here for a good scare!

Something for everyone here… I don’t recommend bringing children younger than 13 though. It’s a lot of fun, you can hear people screaming and its location definitely adds to the creep factor.

Experienced Scream-​a-​geddon on November 1^st. It was a great experience and not crowded at all. One of my new favorite Halloween experiences and can’t wait to go back next year.
The price was fair at $ 35 for 4 houses and a haunted hay ride. The houses were great with all different themes and storylines that scared you in different ways. It was as scary as Busch Gardens and Horror Nights without the crazy amount of drunk obnoxious people that you usually find at those events.
My favorite thing was the «monsters» in the house don’t touch you unlike Shallow Grave, which I wasn’t a fan of. The only exception was one house where you wear a glow necklace to indicate you’re okay with being touched.

Awesome I can’t wait to go again next year best attraction around.

Haunted hayride was spectacular with fire torches machine guns chainsaws Churches demonic preist.
Walking in the woods with a little glow stick is awesome and scary. Very real feeling.
FORGET bush gardens howl o scream and haloween horror nights all you need is screamagedon.

Scariest I have been to in yrs. can’t wait for next yr. makes Busch gardens and Orlando look like Disney world!

Finally a haunted amusement that can hold a flame to Howl-​o-​Scream and Halloween Horror nights! After a relatively easy ride there, be prepared to park off road (gravel and grass parking for the event.) the attraction was very well executed and easily navigable to a first time guest with 5 haunted house features and the common area with carnival type games and food (You MUST try the Zombie paintball!!!) Prices were affordable (typical fairground prices) and they even had a beer truck on site for those 21+!
Overall this is a great Halloween activity that I’m sure will become tradition for my friends and I.

So amazing! Got VIP and skipped all the lines!!! So fast and better than howl-​o-​scream and Halloween horror nights! And half the price!!!

Awesome time and a super cool concept. The interactive haunted house they had there was something unlike anything I’ve seen — even at universal or busch gardens. An all out fun time and worth the money. The hayride was a great addition too. The only bit of criticism I’d offer is to expand on the «Monster Midway» — but this being their first year, it’s totally acceptable.

This place is awesome for what it is. The actors in the house are good. I was legitly spooked in every house except the 3d one the paint was too cool and trippy to be scared lol. its really cool like if i was to be murdered or mutilated it would be in a place like that. dark woods etc. also 7 $bud light so of course pre game before hand. theres a house they can touch you in. the actors only grabbed girls/​paid no attention to my boyfriend or any guys that i saw lol

I went on Saturday 10/​17/​2015 with a huge group of friends. We all bought VIP passes which was smart on our behalf. Who wants to wait in line. So we arrived right at 7:30pm and had no problem parking or getting in since we purchase our tickets online. Once inside it looked like a fun carnival style setup. You could enjoy Beer or Wine, games, food, drinks, gift shop goodies for all your souvenir needs. I did like the concept that SAG is going for but felt all the haunted attractions feIl a little short IMO. We went through all 5 haunted attractions and felt like I was in someone’s backyard haunt.

I was there Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Quality of the haunts was great and definitely a bang for your buck. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the logistics.
First, the cons — again, all logistics and planning. (1) I arrived on the street at 8pm — there was a huge line of cars waiting to park and only 2 people taking money. Took me close to 25 mins to get through the line. (2) From what I could see (and I looked) there was only 1 place serving alcohol, and 1 place serving waters and soda — both lines were huge. (3) At the beginning of the night the port-​o-​potties were clean and well-​stocked. I even saw a man frequently adding more TP. By the end of the night, the ladies port-​o-​potties were completely out of TP and both portable sinks were without towels for drying your hands.
That being said, they really did a great job with the scares. I didn’t make it to the Deadly Woods, which many people said was the best — it was past midnight, I was tired, and was concerned I wouldn’t get to the front of the line before closing time. However, I went through the 3 houses and the hayride and really enjoyed them all. I didn’t get a VIP pass and the lines weren’t too bad, even for a Saturday. Plus, knowing that they spaced out groups, I didn’t mind waiting a bit longer. I personally screamed more here than at Howl-​O-​Scream, which I visited a couple nights before. Surprisingly, Bedlam 3D gave me the most screams, so extra kudos. For me, the Cursed Hayride was the least scary, but still really awesome in the level of detail that went into it.
I did wear the glow necklace in Infected to signify that it was ok to «touch» me. Keep your wits about you here — a couple of the scare actors gave me a little shove into a hallway, which I thought was a room, and I went headfirst into the wall. No harm done, I laughed hysterically, but it could’ve been bad.
Overall, I’d really recommend it and will definitely be back next year.

Ticket price was $ 35.00 per person you have the option to upgrade to a VIP pass for an additional $ 15.00 if you can swing it, I recommend the VIP pass, it gets you through the lines with very little wait time but if you can’t the lines aren’t that bad. We went on a Friday night and the longest line was probably a little over 30 minutes. I really enjoyed this haunt, they have a beer tent with ice cold beer which is always a big plus. The first house was The Infected, great first impression. They wait a sufficient amount of time between groups so if you are in the front of your group you will definitely get a scare. The haunt was long, and well done. The next was Dead Woods, unfortunately I was at the end of a large group on this one so element of surprise was lost on me. Next was the Mac Daddy of houses, Pandemic. This one you have the option in interact with the actors and they will touch you, but don’t worry it’s all on the up and up, no one tried to feel me up or anything. Be prepared to get separated from your group and go about the haunt alone. I did not want to participate in this haunt but was forced to against my will. I was terrified but I did enjoy it. I had to partake in the beer tent immediately following Pandemic. Next was the Hay ride, try and sit in the back row or the front row, unless you prefer the safe middle row, although even if you are in the middle, the actors try and get you too. The staging and the props on the Hay ride are truly impressive. The final haunt was Bedlam 3D, both trippy and scary, if you have vertigo please avoid this one. The mid way was like a mini carnival with games, food and campfires. Make sure you wear good shoes as the ground is uneven and sometimes a bit muddy, I don’t recommend flip flops or sandals. Bring bug spray, you really are out in the woods here.
I really enjoyed myself, this might have been my favorite this Halloween season, I have several more to hit so I’ll keep you posted.

I wondered if this place was going to fail, but luckily, it was worth it! I did the hayride first. Granted it depends on where you sit, it was a great time. My list from favorite to least favorite attraction: Pandemic (wear the necklace! totally worth it!), Bedlam 3D, Dead Woods, Infected. The Midway isn’t much of anything except sitting, some smoke pits, food and random characters walking around. This definitely beats, Busch Gardens and Universal for lines. We were out of there within 2 hours and didn’t even use our VIP past for half of the attractions. Wear sneakers! The Dead Woods attraction and Infected is in the woods (duh) and you may trip, fall, etc.

Much better and scariest than HHN, awesome interactions throughout the hunted attractions.

Last night was my second visit, and although my (twelve year old) son, his friend and I had a great time, I gave this experience one less star for two reasons… I will start by saying that the actors, their costumes and makeup, and the attraction scenes were all **EXCELLENT**. I paid slightly more attention to them this time around, especially Bedlam and Pandemic (the indoor attractions).
It was a Thursday night and we did not purchase VIP Fast Passes, which was a HUGE mistake (I can’t imagine what it’s like on the weekends, but I definitely won’t be experiencing it firsthand). The kids had school the next morning, so we had to leave by 10:00pm and we weren’t able to squeeze in all five attractions… we had to skip Dead House because we spent a great deal of time waiting in line for both Cursed Hayride and Infected. This wasn’t a huge problem, but it took more than 45 minutes to finally get on the hayride once it opened, and we got into the line before the attraction opened and there weren’t that many people in front of us. The first three flatbeds were filled mostly with VIP fast passers, while the general admission line barely moved. This line wasn’t handled as evenly as they were at the other attractions, and I was a little annoyed. When we finally did get on, it wasn’t nearly as enjoyable as it was the first time I went (on my previous visit) and I wished we’d passed this one up instead of Dead House. We were seated way up front, which was actually quiet and somewhat boring (a huge contrast to sitting in the back, where you can actually see and hear a great deal more of the actors).
This, coupled with the fact that –although NO SMOKING is clearly indicated at the entrance– staff did not appear to be enforcing this guideline, and the kids and I were **surrounded** by no less than six other patrons in line for Infected, who were all openly smoking various substances (a cigar, cigarettes, and other stuff). It was extremely unpleasant.
All things considered, I am still a fan.
I would not recommend this venue for the average twelve year old –and according to their website, the owners of Scream-​A-​Geddon believe it may not be suitable either– but my son really enjoys this kind of stuff. He was extremely frightened in the first attraction we went through because he didn’t know what to expect, but in the end he said he LOVED it all, and wants to go again next year. His friend (who has enjoyed several local theme park Halloween attractions) was TERRIFIED by all of them, and ran through them at lightning speed… but he also said he wanted to go again next year… go figure.

This is super, especially for their 1^st year. There are a few minor tweeks they can make, but worth the $. Better than most houses I’ve been too.

This place is so cool. There is a certain house where the actors can touch you if you let them. It has a very old school feel because it’s in the middle of Dade city. It’s also extra creepy because you’re surrounded by woods. I liked it much better than any of the theme park halloween houses, and I’ve been to both. I think this is the scariest out of halloween horror nights and hallowescream.

Great fun and scares! Get the fast pass! Loads of fun. Not for small kids! Girls will jump! Lol

This is hands down my new favorite Halloween attraction! I honestly don’t know if I even want to return to the theme park haunted houses ever again after experiencing Scream-​A-​Geddon. It is certainly worth the trip to the middle of nowhere.
Speaking of the trip to the middle of nowhere, it was über creepy driving to this location. We stopped in Land O Lakes on our way up for dinner. So, our route was a little more rural than if you hit it straight off of 75, but it was DARK and eerie for sure on the one way roads without lights.
A few quick tips
–the property is DARK and also MUDDY. Wear gym shoes that you don’t mind getting covered in mud and can run in. Also wear comfortable clothes.
–avoid rainy nights, or even nights right after it has been raining if possible (see above tip)
–bring $ 10 for parking. They do take card inside, but I think you need cash for parking
–wear BUG SPRAY or at least bracelets. you are literally in the woods for parts of S-​A-​G
–pee on the way if you can — port-o-potty’s on premises
–take screen shots of the map on your app before you loose your signal. it is literally in the middle of nowhere and I couldn’t get signal
–wear the glowing necklace!
S-​A-​G has 6 attractions this year according to their website. Honestly, it should say 5 since the Monster Midway is not really an attraction. It is a few vendors and a cool campground setting with fireplaces and picnic tables. Then, there is the Cursed Hayride and the four houses/​mazes. Those four mazes are some of the best houses I have EVER been in. I honestly can’t pick a favorite either. They are so well done!
It should be noted that there are two major things they do right here at S-​A-​G that the theme parks do wrong: 1) The mazes/​houses are DARK 2) They space people out so that you are only experiencing the house with your group and not with others around. You will truly be scared here!
Here is what I thought of the 5 attractions.
–Cursed Hayride — I wasn’t a huge fan. This is partially because I was really uncomfortable and partially because I was sitting with my back to the entire attraction. You sit in a flatbed of Hay with crossed legs and 40 or so people packed in to the same ride as you. The hayride then went through some cool scenery with spooky things going on. However, it kind of missed the mark for me. Again, this could be because of the two reasons above. I thought there was too much «flash» (or in this case fire) and too many gaps in entertainment. It was the only part of S-​A-​G that disappointed me.
THE HOUSES/​MAZES:
–Pandemic: This is an interactive house. What does that mean? You choose: 1) glow necklace which gives them the right to touch you and pull you away from your group or 2) be a wuss and don’t wear the necklace and watch those with the necklace have all the fun. Don’t worry about being separated from your group, you get pushed into other rooms and stuff, but it isn’t far from the other people and you definitely won’t care at that point. Some people in the house are trying to help you, others are not. It can be hard to tell the difference and you may find yourself back towards the front of the house or in a room you have already been in. There are different ways to go and it is SO MUCH FUN. I actually ran a lot in this house. I was also forced into a dentist’s chair at one point. You have to experience this and see if you can escape. Make sure you wear the necklace! I RAN a lot in this maze (for the record: I am not a runner! At all).
–Infected: The only «zombie» type maze that I have ever actually enjoyed. These are more like diseased zombies. There are some alive, some bodies and some that appear to be dead until you are close by. You also have to walk through an outdoor maze that involves some fun elements like an abandoned and dark school bus before you even arrive at the house. I may have ran a little in this one too.
–Dead Woods: You are given a glow stick and sent on a very creepy walk through the pitch black woods in a pair. Whomever holds the glow stick will draw unwanted attention. Proceed with caution. I had a hard time even seeing the path and had to have the Hubby tell me which way to go. Plus, chainsaws. Lot’s of fun! I totally ran out of the woods and abandoned my Husband at the end of this one. I thought we were done, but we weren’t. Oh, we so weren’t.
–Bedlam 3D: This is the artistic, 3D, Neon house with quite a few surprises. This is a must. If you are afraid of clowns and wanting to avoid it, I suggest you suck it up and do it anyhow. There aren’t too many clowns and the rest of the house is definitely worth it. This house was not really scary for me (although I did yipe at one surprise that I am not going to share), but it was highly visually appealing. You start off in a hall of skulls from floor to ceiling that are painted in different colors and jumping out at you. Like all the houses at S-​A-​G, I left this house very happy and smiling.
