Hampton Inn Dade City/Zephyrhills

Very peaceful hotel.
Not the fanciest, but has a super, calming energy.
It’s clean and comforting.
Staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of.
I always ask for an odd numbered room so I can look out at the pasture.
I come here for no special reason.
I come when I need a time out.. .
To get my mind right.

Travelling from Long Island, NY to FL and I must say, despite being in the «middle of nowhere», the room had many amenities, every member of the staff was extremely nice and willing to help and it was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed at this hotel last month while in town for a wedding. Bride and groom picked an excellent choice to send their guests who didn’t want to spend a fortune staying at the Saddlebrook Resort.
Really nice and super clean hotel with some of the nicest staff I’ve ever met.
Room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very large and plenty of towels.
My favorite things were the toiletries provided, including individually wrapped makeup wipes. I went to the room on the way back from running errands and the housekeeper was in there. Really nice lady, and she even left me extra makeup wipes!
Breakfast buffet in the lobby is free and pretty darn good, and the menu was different every day. You can also go to the lobby at any point during the day and get a cup of coffee, tea, water, a piece of fruit or chocolate chip cookies (located at the front desk)
The day after the wedding I was in a bind because I needed a safety pin to secure the neckline of my dress, and the front desk person was happy to let me borrow her personal sewing kit.
It’s nothing major to some people, but a clean hotel and friendly staff can make all the difference in the world (especially when you’re hungover lol)

We stayed at this hotel for the Rattlesnake five mile run and festival. What a great room, great price and the staff was amazing. Such civic pride and we felt so welcome. the young last setting up breakfast as so attentive making sure everything we needed was out and availble. She even went in the back and broguht us two bottled waters knwoing we were about to do the run. What a great stay. There was a fairly loud wedding party and the desk took care if it so quickly and professionally. amazing

Nice, clean hotel. Parking is free. No line for check-​in. Bathroom was large and they had pretty good toiletries (including make-​up remover).
The breakfast was typical. Nothing special but got the job done-​cereal, eggs, bread.
Cons:
No safe in the room
The pool is right next a cow pasture. One strong breeze and you get a whiff of something not so pretty.

I would love to rate a negative star to this place. I went to check out the rooms for booking a group of rooms for my upcoming wedding. The GM, Evan was horrible. First thing he said to me was, «is this your first marriage» I’m sorry sir why is this any of your business and your lack of personality is not a very good way to start a rapport with a client. And as a matter of fact it is my first wedding. I can’t believe this guy is actually a manager. I had to ask him all the questions it was like pulling teeth to get him to speak. The receptionist was more helpful and friendly than he was. He then proceeded to quote me a rate and when I called back to book the next week all the rooms I needed he said– sorry we are sold out. OH REALLY?!? Because I was able to book rooms online if I wanted. I called and spoke to the receptionist later that night and she stated they had almost 20 rooms still available. I then proceeded to contact the owner Nayana and tell her about my horrible experience and she did nothing. Basically said sorry we met our quota, WTH?!? I am trying to give you a lot of business. Well it turns out Evan the pathetic GM quoted me too low and instead of trying to fix it they declined my business altogether. Well after digging a little deeper it is because there is an event in town that weekend that they will be able to get more money from out of towners. So with that being said this is not your friendly neighborhood hotel– they are selfish and clearly don’t care about the locals.

Loved staying at this Hampton Inn! The hotel is extremely clean and has a welcoming environment. I had an issue with my room, and the front desk immediately moved me to another room. Rooms are great; Spacious, clean, and have amazing beds.
There was a wide variety of foods for (the complimentary) breakfast. All was clean and appetizing.
Only two downfalls: (1) Internet is very, very slow; and (2) A/​C is very noisy.

Stayed over Thanksgiving to visit family. We were very pleased with the hotel. Rooms and lobby were clean and orderly and the staff was great.
Other family members visited last week and I hope they were equally pleased.

The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly. The only downfall was sleeping at night and hearing a train go by on the hour every hour. If you do not like down pillows, I suggest bringing your own.

For Dade City, this is a pretty nice hotel… Being new helps.
There was onl one issue for me, there was a compressor or something on the roof which was way too loud.
Too much noise in the middle of the night.
I was in room 303. Maybe it is quieter on the north end of the building.

I’m a fan of Hampton Inns. I like the fact they clean all their bed linen. Call me crazy but clean is the top priority for me when I stay in hotels. This Hampton is actually a bit older property. It was very spacious and convenient to the nearby university. It’s next door to a late night Wendy’s which I especially appreciated since it was past ten and I hadn’t had dinner. The only complaint I have about the room itself was that the shower was past its prime and really needed to be replaced. It was one of those old tile ones at floor level with a plastic sliding door and no tub. It had those grungy hard water stains around the base and the calking was dirty. The water pressure was just okay but I’d think twice about staying there just due to the shower.
The next morning I had an early appointment so I was thinking I’d come back to the hotel, work until noon and then take an hour to get to the airport, drop off my rental car and still have plenty of time for my flight. So I’m in the middle of a work project when my phone rings and it’s the front desk asking me if I planned to check out. «Yes, at noon» I replied. «Well» she says «checkout is at 11:00 AM and we actually need you to leave because the housekeeping staff is at your end of the hall so they’re ready to clean now.» Last I checked don’t those housekeeping carts have wheels on them that allow you to move to another section of the hotel to clean? Wait a minute. I thought they had a noon checkout time. When I asked her she says «I don’t know why everyone thinks that,» Oh, I don’t know maybe because every other hotel in the country has at least a noon checkout? Okay, I try to pull the Hilton Honors card on her but she wasn’t having it. Even the Diamond level Honors members don’t get a late checkout she tells me (her voice tone indicating I clearly wasn’t even close to that level). «Do you ever accommodate late checkouts» I ask her. «Can you let me have a noon checkout today?» «Well sometimes if we’re not full we can.» I just wait her out and she reluctantly agrees as long as I make every effort to get out ASAP. I finally just close everything down and leave the hotel. Her attitude irked me. When I get to the parking lot they have 9 cars in the parking lot (including mine). So unless this is a 7 bed hotel (allowing for her and at least one housekeeping staff) then they certainly weren’t full. There are not a lot of options in Saint Leo and I won’t just write off the hotel on just this one bad experience but «friendly» is not their middle name. Frankly it may not even be a nickname.

I didn’t know what to expect from a hotel in the middle of Dade City… But I was very pleased when we arrived.
The staff is incredibly friendly, I’m huge on customer service, so that was nice for me! The hotel was SPOTLESS! Had a nice clean scent upon arrival and same when we entered our room.
The room was huge, when we travel we need an ADA room, but this one was much larger than most. The room was very clean. It has a microwave and refrigerator, which I love when traveling with two children. Room was modern and well decorated.
My only complaint was that it was a little pricey to be in Dade City, I found Hiltons & Hilton Garden Inns a little further away that were less expensive… Other than that… I would certainly stay here again.
Proud to see that this little town finally has somewhere nice for visitors to stay!

Wow! Who would have thought in the «middle of no where» we would fine such a fine hotel with great staff for a very affordable price.
Yes, we had Military rate… but we were still treated with VIP service.
The beds were the best I have been in a good long while, even in other Hampton Inns. The rooms were very clean and modern. My personal must —– free wifi —— Thank you.

Stayed here all of September, and as usual it was greta. I am so sad Craig no longer works there, it was so nice! My coworker had to call and cancel one of my reservations because I was in the hospital, and when he saw me again a month later, not only did he remember but he asked how I was feeling! You can’t find caring staff like that too often.
