The Pediatric Vision Development Center was founded with the mission to help children who suffer from learning-related vision problems that may affect their performance in school and other daily activites.
Dr. Nadira Shadeed and Dr. Joe Rouw are passionate about their profession and care about her patients. They are both members of College of Optometrist in Vision Development and have completed their fellowship certification (FCOVD) in vision therapy and vision development in order to have the highest levels of knowledge and skills for treating her patients. Along with their professional skills, our doctors excel at working with kids and taking time to get to know each child in order to get their best performance during every session.

Dr. Nadira Shadeed is a developmental optometrist who has chosen to work in the field of optometric vision therapy. She graduated from the Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in 2005 and then completed a Residency program in Pediatric Optometry at SCO in 2006.
The residency program provided advanced clinical experience in pediatric optometry, management of binocular vision disorders, and the developmental and behavioral aspects of vision care that aid in evaluating and treating patients in vision therapy.
After completing her residency, Dr. Shadeed practiced in a vision therapy office providing vision therapy services in South Carolina. She then moved to Georgia and practiced vision therapy at Roswell Eye Clinic. Currently Dr. Shadeed provides vision therapy services at the Pediatric Vision Development Center of Gwinnett.
In 2009, Dr. Shadeed completed Fellowship certification in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) in Vision Development and Vision Therapy.
