What is Mathnasium? Mathnasium is a math center that delivers individualized, supplemental, proprietary, and effective math curriculum and instruction to students 2^nd to 12^th grade on a one-​to-​one basis.

What is the difference from a Math Tutor and the Mathnasium program? A math tutor focuses on the current homework help without assessing to determine if there are any foundation issues. We focus on building the students understanding of math that support the current curriculum. Students practice the math at the center with a math coach. They are not left alone to be frustrated at home working on homework after the lesson.

At Mathnasium, the kids get a math workout. Instructors teach, listen, respond, and guide them toward a solid understanding of math. This leads to better grades, a deeper understanding of math, less frustration with homework and a foundation which to build math success. Test preparation is an important part of the Mathnasium program including SAT, ACT and Texas STAAR exams.

History

Established in 2010.

Mathnasium is a company with only one purpose — to be the experts in teaching math to kids. It was founded 12 years ago by a math educator who developed programs to help students understand math in a unique way. John and Cathy researched Mathnasium over five years ago and saw the power of this program and how kids can achieve results beyond their expectations. Our mission is to help every child to understand – and master – math. It will change their world.

Business Owner

Cathy and John Labuda are both former math educators with over 30 year experience in helping children understand math. Our mission is to help increase our students math skills, understanding of math concepts and overall performance, while building confidence and a positive attitude towards learning math. We are experts in teaching math and want to make a positive contribution to our community.
