Specialties

FortePiano Academy is a private school of classical piano, teaching based on professional European methods. We accept students of various age groups: younger children who are in the beginning of their piano studies, more advanced students preparing for undergrad or grad school admissions, as well as pianists who are seeking to further enhance their skills and expand their repertoires. Occasionally we work also with other musicians (violinists, flutists, clarinetists, etc) or singers, on chamber and Lieder Abend music. We have an extensive music score library, which enables us to provide the necessary information and content to our students.

History

Established in 2011.

Fortepiano Academy (est. 2011) is a piano school focused on building up professional performing skills and a broad Classical repertoire. We provide our students an opportunity to learn from an experienced and renowned concert pianist, with many years of successful career as worldwide performer and university professor.

Business Owner

Before relocating to Texas in 2010 and establishing FortePiano Academy, I taught advanced classical piano for over 30 years to graduate students at Doshisha University, one of Japan’s top schools (est. 1875) in the old capital Kyoto. I am also active as a pianist (solo recitals and performing with orchestra) with over 50 years of experience. I grew up in Europe, and studied under Prof. Florica Musicescu who was the teacher of world-​famous pianists like Radu Lupu and Dinu Lipatti. I have an extensive music repertoire.
