Cypress IT Pros

Today was a good day.
THE PROBLEM
This morning I walked into my study with my coffee to work on a project. I started my computer, but then it decided it didn’t want to play today, and it turned itself back off. I tried one more time, trying to convince it that it was cool and we’re friends and working with me is fun, but after about 20 seconds of a blinking power light, swirling fan, and absolutely nothing else (no sounds, no video to monitor, nooooothiiiiing) it said it was done for the day and turned off.
THE SEARCH
I looked for a close place that would repair my poor PC (Geek Squad didn’t feel right, and the internet seems to feel the same) and a couple of options popped up. Cypress IT Pros had great reviews on Unilocal and Angie’s List, so I decided to give them a shot.
THE PROCESS
The place is located at the corner of 290 and Spring Cypress in the Kroger corner — right behind the Exxon station in a small strip center. I brought my PC in around 10:30 am for them to take a look. Everyone was really nice (especially Miss Renee who I spoke with over the phone and in person at the counter while I waited).
Tip: They have your PC out right behind the counter so that you can watch them troubleshoot and diagnose what’s going on.
I really appreciated that I could watch them work on my computer. I might not be in control, but the fact that I can actually see what’s going on instead of them taking my pride and joy away to a back room (hey, I spent some good money custom-​building this baby), it makes me feel much better. After a bit, they confirmed that, yes, the computer would shut off after a while, so they would go buy some parts and give me a call at 3:00 pm to let me know what the problem was.
THE HAPPY ENDING
At 3:01 pm Renee called me back, as promised, and said that after they essentially unplugged and then replugged everything, the PC was working. Great! I drove back over directly and picked up my computer (fixed the same day I took it in!). After they helped me load my computer back into my car, I said I owed them money. «No,» replied Renee, «There was nothing wrong with your computer, so you don’t owe us anything.» Wow. I can’t remember the last time I had customer service this awesome. No argument from me!
I’m impressed by how friendly the staff is.
I’m impressed with the timeliness of their work.
I’m impressed that they called me back when they said they would.
I’m impressed that they don’t charge for diagnostics.
I’m impressed that if they don’t have to fix anything that they don’t charge you.
I’m impressed that they guarantee their work.
You best believe I’ll be back if my computer is under the weather again.

First experience with getting the screen replaced was excellent, but after today I would drive out of my way to get a repair done (if needed)
About a month ago I completely shattered the screen for my iPhone 6+ and they made arrangements for me to come in on a Saturday and get it fixed. I thought this was above and beyond the typical call of duty because I was told they’re closed on Saturday’s and was being made to believe that the owner was extending a courteous gesture (but that was a farce because they’re open Saturday). Either way, I went in and had my screen replaced within 15 minutes, got a case and tempered glass protector.
This past Wednesday I noticed the screen was lifting up away from the phone on both sides at the top and going down about halfway; bulging far past the phone case itself. I called and spoke to a woman and she told me to bring it in to have it replaced under warranty. Thursday I drop the phone. Ugh and the top of the screen cracked and the LCD was damaged. I called them immediately to let them know what happened just in case this may void the warranty.
The same girl answers and immediately starts laughing and I’m like, «this isn’t funny». It kinda was but that’s not the point. She says, «don’t worry about it just bring it in and let him see it, he’s a reasonable guy».
I get there today and before even saying anything when I walk in, the owner says, «she’s here for the warranty screen», I hand him the phone and wait while he finished helping another customer. He inspects the phone and starts taking the screen off. When he’s done with it he says ‚“how’s $ 130.00 sound?” I asked him to repeat his self and he said $ 130.00. I was kinda surprised because according to the girl it was still under warranty, he knew I was there for a «warranty» fix and now it’s not?
He says due to the crack in the screen, it voids the warranty. When was I going to find out? This still wouldn’t have been a problem had he not reacted the way he did by literally snatching the phone out of my hand and started raising his voice at me. At that time my husband says because of his crap attitude just put the old screen back in and he can talk to our credit card company about it.
He makes us wait for 3 customers that came in after us before he gets back on my phone and now that it’s just us and his employees in the store, the shouting and vulgarities start.
At any point had they told us upfront that it wasn’t under warranty I would have no problem paying for the replacement but to have a damn attitude and snatch my phone from me (claiming afterwards that people have left without paying and they called HPD. Which I know is a lie because HPD doesn’t have jurisdiction out here…) it would be perfectly fine.
But no, he wanted to be super aggressive which was totally unprovoked and start acting like an animal. So I drove 10 miles out the way to have it replaced with people that act like they have self respect and home training.

I must say they are excellent! My note 4 camera was broke and took fuzzy pics. they fixed it within an hour and did an amazing job! Also had wonderful prices. I totally recommend and I will for sure use them again. Thank you guys

My network storage died but I had no way to check to see if the drives were any good. So I brought them to Cypress IT Pros before spending $ 23 on a drive docking station. Turns out the drives were still good. Cypress IT Pros didn’t charge me for this service and they recommended a brand of docking station that works very well. Thanks! I recommend them.

Had my laptop slow down and finally lock up just as I was going to back up critical files, thought I had picked up a virus/​malware despite formidable AV software. Took it in to CIP, they checked the hard drive (it was OK) and mirrored it onto a surrogate where they determined the Windows 8.1 OS had locked up by itself. They scrubbed it, reinstalled the OS with updates overnight and I picked it up the next day. There were programs and databases missing which I expressed concern about, I could reinstall the programs but not the DBs; they said to take it home and come back with any problems and they would try to fix it and I could pay then. I managed to retrieve some old backups and bring things up to date; these guys were first class — glad to have them in the area. I will be back! (but not soon I hope).

Just wanted to give a shout out for Cypress It Pros. They really are pros. Took my husbands computer in because it just stopped working. I didn’t really have any explanation to give them when I dropped it off except «it just quit» Was expecting them to call me and tell me it was no longer usable. Instead they called me and said «it’s working great come and get it» Wow… couldn’t believe it!!! Amanda even set up my new keyboard and mouse for no additional charge. Now that’s what I call customer service. As a business owner myself I appreciated how they went above and beyond to keep me… the customer happy. Thanks Cypress It Pros.

Shocked! After my daughter left her iPhone 5s on the back of her mom’s car, the phone was run over and the screen obliterated. It was out of warranty, and Apple wanted $ 269.99 to repair the screen. Next problem with Apple was the wait. The earliest appointment to fix the screen was a week away.
I searched the Internet for «iPhone screen repair Cypress Texas» and came across Cypress IT Pros. At first I was a little leery about an IT shop in a gas station strip center, but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The wonderful young ladies that helped me went above and beyond any expectation I had. They had clearly repaired thousands of iPhones, iPads, and the like.
In 15 minutes, while I waited, they replaced the full screen, LCD, and touch sensors on the iPhone 5s. They walked me through the entire installation and tested everything on the phone before I left. The cost? $ 110.00! AND it came with a full warranty! Next time you are looking for friendly, competent, fast, and inexpensive repair of your phone, tablet, or computer, DON’T miss this place.

Dropped off an iPad mini with a cracked screen on a Saturday and was told this was an easy fix and that they do these a lot. Received a call that same afternoon informing us that they damaged the LCD screen during their attempt to replace the glass screen and that the replacement part would need to be ordered. Picked the iPad mini up the following Tuesday evening and noticed at home the LCD screen now had striations running up and down and that the auto off feature that’s activated my the magnetic closure of the cover no longer worked. Brought it back the next morning, Wednedsay and was told that the magnets would be an easy fix and that they would replace tye LCD screen. When we didn’t hear from them by Monday I called and was told that the shut off mechanism still isn’t working and that he doesn’t know why. When I inquired how much longer it will take I was told I could come tomorrow but that he was very busy with clients right now. When I asked when I may expect to pick it up in working condition I was derided by him that I should look up how these iPads and magnets work and that he didn’t break the original LCD screen, just «scratched» it. I was instructed that I am not to expect anything and then he hung up. At this point, 10 days after the original drop off date we don’t have our iPad nor can he tell me when we will receive one that’s working the way it was before we dropped it off at his facility.

This place is awesome. I got water damage on my IPhone6 & they fixed it in 15 min. Yay!

I cannot praise this place enough. I went in with a broken iphone 6, and he fixed it while I waited.

Fast, friendly and professional service. Mr. Bill Haines gave me a great price to fix my shattered LG/​G2 screen and it only took him a day and half to fix it. He even gave me a loner phone while he worked on mine.
