History

Established in 1993.

I came up through the carpentry field and progressed up through the ranks and became a superintendent in commercial work for 17 years and a project manager for a couple of years. I had a lot of people who kept asking me to do projects on the side and when my superintendent work got slow I started Cross Connection Construction but quickly changed to Cross Connection Remodeling to emphasize the type of construction and that I dealt mostly with the residential workplace. We started doing a lot of handyman type of work but quickly moved into whole home remodeling. We re-located to the northwest area just outside of Houston in Cypress in 1995 and started specializing in kitchens and bathrooms. We realized that almost all trades that are used in a home are also used in those two special areas and have chosen not to limit ourselves and basically if it has to do with a home, we do it. We also do light commercial work since that is part of my background experience.

Meet the Business Owner

Earl H.

Business Owner

Started in roofing and masonry work as a laborer while in high school. I enjoyed the hard work and learning a trade. After high school I joined the Navy and when I came to Texas in 1972 I started working as a carpenter’s helper and became a lead man after 3 months. I learned how to set forms and frame a home. I moved on to cabinet work for a couple of years and then decided to try commercial work. I quickly became a superintendent and built everything from libraries, churches, grocery stores, shopping centers, a school, a park building with a floating concrete dock, and even remodeled a Coca Cola plant to name a few of the jobs of the years. I moved up to Project Manager for 2 years but we decided to move back home to Houston and it wasn’t long before I started Cross Connection. That was back in 1972 — over 23 years ago.
