American Comfort Experts

I don’t write reviews, but really wanted to with American Comfort Experts because they certainly deserve it. We had a leak in our ceiling, and they were able to get out to us immediately. They actually answered the phone when i called their office! (I called a few other places before them, all of which i had to leave a message — one of which i even had to E-​mail, ridiculous) Their pricing was beyond fair. The technician, Nicholas, was beyond courteous and helpful. They will be our go to AC company going forward!

Absolutely loved using this company that I decided I needed to write my first review ever on Unilocal!They were very prompt when our AC went out, listened to what we wanted, and gave us a great deal. Dennis and David made the process of having to buy a new AC unit as painless as possible-​you could just tell they are good guys who want the best for their customers, very friendly and personable. I will recommend using ACE for any air condition and heating needs. Very happy with the service!

Had 2 new ac and furnaces installed last week. The techs were awesome. Super efficient and tidy. Price was also fair considering all of the equipment that I had replaced. Would not hesitate to recommend services.

Technician was on time and very professional. He did a thorough diagnostic of my two heating units and explained his findings to me in a very clear manner. I would recommend them to anyone else looking for tune ups or repairs!

My A/​C had gone out during the night time. I called these folks up at 8am the next morning to schedule someone to come out. I was told I would have a guy at my home between 12pm and to 2pm also gave me a timeline and what to expect, that the techs have most of what they need on the truck already as far as repairs/​parts. Around 11:45 I got a call telling me Dennis was on the way to my home! He gets to my home and goes straight to work, and he had my A/​C up and running not long after! He also relayed serial numbers, part numbers ect. Because they even checked to see if the unit still had warranty which it did which saved me a ton of money! My experience was outstanding! They made it extremely easy and I also love to support local businesses any time that I get the opportunity!

I scheduled and they came out the very next day. The technician was very polite, knowledgable and cleaned up completely after himself. He did a great job and at a reasonable price!

I called this incompetant company onSept 29,2013. they were to come out and look at my ac. They were supposed to be there between 11am and 2pm. At 2;30 I called checking to see where they were. The answered and said theyt were running late. That would have been fine but to get no call are update as my wife twiddled her thumbs waiting. They show up and dont even check both of my units which I asked to be done. I called there office and asked why this was not done and they said they would call the tech to come back and would call me right back. They never did. Again the incompetance level of this want to be company. I had to go out of town while all this was going down. They billed my wife 69 $ for doing half of what they were supposed to do. I had to call another company which did exactly what they were supposed to do. I dont mind paying more but damn if you say your gonna do something, do it!!! I wouldnt waste piss on this company if they were on fire!

Ryan was AWESOME… We had been without air since 7÷03÷13. We have gotten several estimates from different companies, but none of them were as accurate, inexpensive, and friendly as this company. Ryan showed up yesterday, diagnosed the problem, returned today and repaired our system. Oh sweet relief! Customers for life!!!

David Smith with American Comfort Experts came out to repair the air conditioning yesterday, and I really could not be any happier with the service this company provided.
My appointment window was for later in the afternoon, but David was running a bit early, and sweet Kristie from the main office called to make sure it was convenient for me if David arrived early. I was at the pharmacy picking up a prescription, and David got to the house before I did; but that was no problem for him. He waited for me, and gave me a big smile when I drove up.
David quickly assessed the problem, showed me what I needed to see, and explained everything fully and carefully, including precisely stating what the charges would be. He answered every question, and never made me feel rushed or pushed. After that, David quickly repaired the unit, and, again, patiently waited to make sure the unit was cooling properly. In the end, the cost was exactly what I expected. David also offered a maintenance contract, which is a great deal, and he explained all the particulars; but there was no hard sell.
I have found working with American Comfort Experts to be a complete pleasure and perfectly painless. David was friendly, efficient and thorough. I will definitely be recommending American Comfort Experts to all my friends, and I will use them again when the need arises.

We bought a large, older home about a year ago and knew upfront that all or almost all of the HVAC would have to be replaced (the house has 4 AC units and furnaces). We spent several months talking to various HVAC companies getting bids, and we felt overwhelmed by the process. Our experiences ranged all the way from getting detailed bids that we did not understand at all to receiving bids that were just a number (the cost of an AC unit). We didn’t know how to make an informed decision until we met the folks at ACE. We received a very competitive bid (it helped that we were replacing our AC system in February), the owner came over early one Saturday morning and took several hours to explain everything to us, and by the time he was done, we knew for certain that the folks at ACE are the people we wanted doing our HVAC work. Before talking to the owner of ACE, my husband was hell-​bent on getting Tranes, but he changed his mind after hearing a detailed comparison between Tranes and other brands.
Everything about their operation says professional. They are a relatively small company that we believe first and foremost wants to get it right. Our very first appt was w/​David, the serviceman, who showed up in an ironed white shirt w/​the ACE logo, and who presented us w/​2 business cards, one w/​his name on it in big print, and the other a general ACE business card before setting foot inside the house. Booties on his feet whenever he was inside. Floors were covered. Thorough inspection of all the systems. David recommended we meet w/​the owner to get the best price on the work we wanted down. Owner Doug met w/​us on a Saturday, and took as much time as we needed to understand our options and feel that we knew enough to make a good decision. Scheduling w/​Christie in the office was wonderful. She’s great! Everybody including the installers were on time, neat, quiet — again, professional. Follow-​up by owner and others. Came back to finish the duct insulation. Also, their working around our schedule has been a challenge as some of our family members work night shift and sleep days. ACE worked w/​us to do the work in that part of the house around their sleeping schedule, which was a HUGE challenge! I could go on and on…
3÷26÷2013 Update: The city inspector just left after inspector the HVAC work that ACE did for us. Said all the work looked really good. Not surprised.
The work took almost a week to complete at our place (6200 sq ft), and we could not be happier with our experience w/​ACE. We ended up replacing 3 complete AC systems and 4 furnaces. ACE also wrapped all the vents to prevent air loss and tweaked a few things that were pre-​existing. Again I say: these guys are pros! We are very confident that what they have done has been done to the highest standards and we are customers for life.
In the past we have paid A LOT OF MONEY to a lot of different HVAC companies. We are no longer in search of a good HVAC company now that we’ve found ACE. Quit wasting your time and money and use them. They are wonderful!!!

AC went out at 3AM on a Saturday! Heard from them by 8am on Saturday and they were to my home by 9am. Professional, up front fair pricing. And the best part is he found the problem quickly and fixed it. Didn’t try to upsell anything. Would recommend to friends.

I can’t say enough good things about this company. I called at the end of most people’s business day because my A/​C stopped running. All day long I heard the motor in the attic making strange noises and it finally stopped coming on. Earlier I tried to fix it myself by replacing the capacitor but it only worked for about 30 minutes after that. I did not have hope that I’d get it repaired that day but after a quick online search I found ACE and it stated they worked ²⁴⁄₇. I still had my doubts that I’d be able to reach anyone but I called anyway. I was presently surprised that my call was answered by a real person and they promised to get someone out a.s.a.p., probably within an hour they said. I started getting concerned when I didn’t hear from anyone and it was already and hour and bang! the door bell rang! Tracey the tech was at my door and apparently got a bad number on my phone number but he came anyway to our address. He immediately got to work and replaced the motor… outside in the dark and while being tortured by mosquitos. He never complained. The price was very reasonable considering it was emergency after hours work and most companies would have raked me over the coals with a call like that. ACE will always have my business and I’ll recommend them to anyone who wants an honest, professional company to work with.

What a great service provider I have found. 10 mins to my door and working to resolve issue. Nick was friendly and respected my home with foot covers, blankets and cleaned up all work areas.
I can tell by how my issue was resolved, it was done right and the root of the problem was corrected, not just temporarily fixed.
Though, I don’t like these silly 20 dollar a month contracts that most ac companies push, Nick did not push it to hard. This part of the service was disappointing.
I would use ACE again, and have already recommended them to others.

I never could have imagined such wonderful service. I needed two new rooftop units and was very skeptical about whether I would be happy with any company doing the job properly. ACE was referred to me by a close friend who had given them rave reviews. Let me say that they exceeded every expectation from cleanliness to knowledge to expertise! Every individual that worked in my home was wonderful. I can’t say enough about this company! More than satisfied!

It’s 103 degrees outside at the moment. It’s HOT, and my AC decides to go out at about 3:00PM. In about 15 minutes my inside temp went from 75 to 83 degrees, and with a 4 month old, we needed help; fast.
I called my previous contact in the AC business and had to leave a message. I checked Unilocal and found ACE.
The woman on the phone was nice and courteous, documented my problem, and told me that a technician would be at my home within an hour or so. 40 minutes later, our tech, Nick Shelly, arrived.
Nick was professional, nice, and easy to talk to. He applied protection to his boots when walking through our home to be courteous, and upon inspecting the attic, placed a large rectangular pad down to catch any falling insulation. Outside, he clearly explained what he was doing and helped me understand the problem.
Within the hour, Nick had our AC working again. He explained what I could do to help prolong the life of our AC, but wasn’t pushy with adding on additional services. Nick was simply awesome.
So in summary:
1) He arrived early and within half the time than expected.
2) The technician (Nick Shelly) was professional, courteous, and friendly.
3) Nick wasn’t pushy with adding additional services, but did explain their benefits.
ACE — you’ve got yourself a customer for life! Thanks, Nick!

Our air condition stopped working at 9PM. We called ACE and David Smith (Tech) arrived within an hour, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. The ACE team is professional, available, and experienced.
While I have no experience with other AC companies in the area, I can say that our family felt safe with David in the house and the resulting bill (at 1030PM) was much less than I expected for an emergency call. Equally important, our air condition is now working!!!
Thank you ACE & David. We’re much cooler now (no pun intended)
