I really enjoyed the Chardonnay. They also had some very nice gifts, bowls, cheeseboards, etc for sale in the tasting room. I like that this vineyard was smaller and wasn’t over run with people.

My new fiancé and I had a wonderful time tasting with Jean, she balanced her time well between us and other guests, and really helped us get to know the wines with great comparisons. Industry treats industry well :) we also loved the fact that it was dog friendly!

We reserved a tasting for seven at Macari and were directed to this smaller tasting room location. Our«Wine educator» was chewing bubble gum during a part of the tasting, but was a competent presenter of the wines, This location is beautiful and the patio area afffords a peaceful and relaxing location. While they do not permit outside food, they offer almost no food to accompany wine you might choose to enjoy outdoors following the tasting. As for the wines we tasted, the big reds were delicious. The Rose offered is only on tap and not really an appropriate wine to offer in my view. Overall, this visit was a good beginning of a three winery day; however I felt the reception and the staff lacked the experience and warmth of the two other wineries we visited.

Good place but a tad overpriced for a tasting. I paid $ 20 for 5 which is a bit much. They did have decent wines though. As a whole this place was good but not great.

My favorite vineyard, my favorite wines. Dos Aguas and Sette are a must if you are partial to reds, as is the Alexandra. Personally, I enjoy visiting both the Mattituck and Cutchogue locations… but Cutchogue tends to be more low-key. The employees in the tasting room are incredibly friendly and knowledgable — I try to visit every time I am visiting the North Fork(at least 2x a month!) Several times out on a wine-tasting day I have ended up just staying parked at Macari for the entirety of the day!

Truly the class act of the three wineries we visited during a winery tour of Long Island. Beautiful facility with a relaxed, fun staff, who helped start our day off by opening early for our large group. Gibson shared about their philosophy of wine and stories about the wine types, helping make the experience more enjoyable. With a beautiful setting and well designed and appointed facilities, our trip to Macari was a winner.

Really great place. Beautiful setting and wide variety of wine selection. Tasting room is beautiful and staff is very educated. They have a beautiful outdoor patio so definitely sit outside on a nice day.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at this vineyard and Amanda who worked there 7⁄31 is awesome! Some of the best reserve wines we have had but a must try is their«ice wine». Thank you Amanda for the wealth of information… You rock and we will be back. Definitely a mist of your visiting the area!!!

Excellent wines, and the back deck may very well be the best place to enjoy a cigar on the north fork with family and friends. I should mention that you will have to provide your own cigars and it might be nice to make sure that no one on the deck minds the smoke. Beautiful establishment, I would absolutely return.

I had an amazing experience here on Saturday with my boyfriend and another couple. Krissy did an amazing job explaining the wines they carry and the personal attention was welcomed with open arms. We left with a few bottles and smiles on our faces.

i actually thought this was going to be good wine… boy was i wrong. i dumped out half of my flight of 5 wines… yes, it WAS that bad. no reason to stop here really. there are plenty of other wineries with a better atmosphere and better wine.

Macari is my absolute favorite vineyard on Long Island. I am not a red wine drinker, but I am a Macari red wine drinker! After tasting their Sette and Bergen Road wines, I HAD to bring my California friends here. They agreed! They still like California wines better but said that Macari was the best winery we visited yesterday. Macari also has a great dessert wine, Block E. I bought a bottle for special occasions. The people at this tasting room is are helpful and friendly. I’ve heard not so positive experiences regarding their Mattituck tasting room. If possible, be sure to stop by their Cutchogue location for a more private and focused attention to detail. The ambiance at this tasting room made the experience all the more enjoyable!
