odd loction, kinda hidden. plenty parking.
cool looking place. kinda low key. nicely decorated… simple. blue on blue walls and large windows.

Their RAMEN TASTES AWESOME!!! i was a teeny bit skeptic to start but the food finish was on point! CHARSHU and WASHU ramen are the ones to enjoy!

We came here on a Saturday night, and this place was almost empty. There were 2 other tables beside our table.
The ramen was OK. The fried chicken was a bit too oily.
Order:
1) Grilled pork cha shu: 3⁄5 sad that my ramen did not come with a soft boiled egg; the cha shu was OK.
2) Kaarage: 2.5÷5 ok… too oily.

The grilled cha shu ramen in here is the best ramen I’ve tasted so far. Noodles are cooked just right, not soggy. Grilled taste gives great flavor. Free extra noodles is a bonus.

I had their spicy beef tendon ramen. It was just good enough. I did not feel like I wasted my money, but given the large number of awesome ramen options in the Bay Area, I probably will not go back.

I used to only come for the ramen but as a returning customer I’ve opened up to try more things on their menu especially their new milk tea menu! I tried the boba milk foam tea which is really popular in China and their recipe is the perfect combination of tea and flavoring so that its not bitter but you can still taste the tea. Their boba is also very good quality unlike some places that sometimes undercook it. It’s a very traditional flavor of Taiwanese milk tea that I think a lot of nearby tea places lack.

Was looking for a quick bite to eat and stopped into Ramen Mania for a bowl of Chashu ramen. The ramen was tasty and the free extra noodles was great as well. Service was fast and Tyrone the manager was very friendly and happy to help. Not expensive either, I was able to get a few extras without breaking the bank. I’d come back to try Shabu Shabu!

Used to be decent but now… nah!
I used to enjoy cha-​shu ramen here and appreciate free extra noodle option. Something must have changed and the quality really went downhill. Beef and salmon bowls are hardly recognizable. Chicken teriyaki bento was less than mediocre (looks like chicken was just boiled and glazed with sauce. Also my sashimi was still half frozen). Every single dish we had was just not very good.

Not bad at all! First of all, the prices are very reasonable. I haven’t seen a bowl of ramen priced below $ 9 in a while. Most bowls here go for $ 8.90. I got the Japanese Ramen (I think that’s what it’s called – it’s the first item on the ramen page of the menu). I really liked the soup! I found it to be very rich and flavorful. And not salty. The noodles were great as well. Really liked the thickness/​hardness and you get a pretty good amount in each bowl. Wasn’t a huge fan of the pork or the egg, though. The egg wasn’t seasoned but the texture was perfect!
All in all, I found this place to be pretty good. It’s more like a 3.5 stars if anything but the soft-​boiled egg is really important to me in ramen so I rounded down lol. This place doesn’t get too crowded either (at least when I went – which was at like peak lunch hour) so that’s another plus.

No wonder there was only one group of people during dinner hour. Messed up the order when there were only me and the other table. When the waitress noticed the error, she moved the food directly to my table, hell if I know it had been touched or not…

Terrible place even before we ever wanted to try this place. U can tell who’s running the place and how the service is without trying to food (and nope never will). With plenty of parking spots in front of the restaurant, we parked, some waiter or owner ran out and just yelled «u go park somewhere else!» Wow… Not surprise by the low rating.

True 3 star ramen house. It was not bad but it was not good either. The place changed owner, but the inside was not remodeled, kept the same décor from before. The menu was confusing, they had Japanese, Chinese and Korean items on there (which explained why it was Chinese owned). We ordered the cha shu ramen portion was small and overly salty.

Ramen was quite good and the place wasn’t crowded at all. the Veggies on the side were just ok, but the Ramen itself neither greasy neither salty. Noodles were al dente and pork was well cooked. I enjoyed it and it was SUPER cheap!

I called ahead just in case there is a wait, but to our surprise there was barely anyone in there. Not busy at all.
Im giving this place 3 stars because we got to enjoy our food, in a quiet environment after a long day at work.
I had the grilled cha shu ramen, which I think is one of their specialty ramen. It was okay. The broth was very thin, and needs more depth. It’s nice and simple, but I like my ramen hearty.
We also got the beef yakiniku. My husband said Yoshinoya can make better beef bowls. I kinda agree. There was nothing special to it.
The service was good, but Not sure if we’re coming back.

I chose the first item in the ramen section: Wafu Japanese Style Ramen. It’s a basic pork-​based «tonkotsu» broth with 2 slices of chashu, 2 halves of soft-​boiled egg, pickled bamboo, and green onions.
Their ramen has an inoffensive taste that’s fairly drinkable but caused me stomach problems later on. The egg yolk was totally liquid, not soft-​boiled and had pieces of shell still on there. I wanted to like this place and visited twice just to make sure, but I just can’t recommend it.

This is a service review: SO BAD that we waited in vain and didn’t get to have their food at all.
Being the first group to arrive during lunch hour, we saw everyone else who came later got food and found out our order was lost. Since our lunch hour is very strict, we asked if we can order takeouts. The waitress Emily told us «The chefs said no because they don’t have time to make 6 ramens to go, since we got busy all of a sudden» (all of a sudden meaning after us). While I understand the chefs cannot hurry 6 ramens in short notice, we were extremely disappointed and asked for future discounts.
Long story short: discounts were promised (100%), waitress Emily gave us her name and contact, and the next time we call, she goes «Sorry, made a mistake. I actually don’t have the authority to give 100% discounts.»

As soon as I went through the menu, I figured that this is not an authentic Japanese ramen place. The stuff on the menu looked very either fusion or Americanized Asian. They even had something that reminds me of Chinese Beef Noodle, rice bowls, and stuff like that.
I ordered standard Cha-​Sui ramen with extra noodle (free) cause I usually do the most standard item for a new restaurant. The bowl, spoon, and look was pretty standard (which is good).
Food was just ok or below average. The chai sui pork was thin and smoked which was unique (but only on one side). The broth had a little flavor but nothing special (felt like it’s from concentrate). The noodle was not acceptable though. Some of the noodles were still clumped together making it hard to mix it with the broth. It was probably instant noodle which I can easily get from a supermarket.
I think this is an Americanized Asian (vs ramen as its name claims) restaurant that tries to please everyone but isn’t good at anything.

Me and friends just wanna do some ramen but we saw sushi and sashimi. So we said why not give a try. Turns out it is the best idea of the day.
The fish is very fresh. Tuna, salmon, octopus, scallop, the chef placed all of them on a plate in a way instantly grabbed our attention. In the middle of the plate, it is one whole fish with meat sliced out. Man, I have to say it is a piece of artwork. The salmon is fatty, the sea urchin melt into my mouth. I am totally surprised, I think I get a bargain today.

A very great place to have japanese food in cupertino! The lunch special (ramen and sushi combination) is solid and yummy. The beef ramen tasted good with nice soup. And the sushi is great with very fresh fish. Besides, I love especially their fresh uni. It’s so tasty that I can’t wait to go back soon to eat it again! In addition, service is pretty fast and great. So good!

Came here for lunch for the first time. The restaurant name and sign look like Japanese place but the menu is not.
Place called Ramen mania should be just serving ramen but they service fried rice, meat dishes and Chinese looking noodles and ramen is just a small portion of it.
I couldn’t find anything interesting on the menu so I had a hard time deciding what to order. Ordered Japanese Style Ramen, which was a strange name IMO.
Food arrived. Tasted like instant ramen especially the soup. It had no depth in flavor. I ate most of the noodle but left everything else. Soup temperature wasn’t hot enough for ramen. Toppings looked disappointing.
Service was slow. Wish I have something good to write about but can’t think of anything.

Ah, always good to see another noodle place opening up in my neighborhood.
As a ramen addict, I am always hopeful that I would find a good ramen place in Cupertino. Haven’t been satisfied with the selections thus far, but I was excited to try ramen mania for lunch.
Walking in, we were promptly greeted and seated. The interior is nice — new, spacious and clean. But this place, to me, feels more like a Taiwanese noodle joint rather than a Japanese ramen restaurant. The only Japanese vibe I got was the J-​pop music playing in the background. Menu was nice and quite diverse. They carry some of the more «unique» ramen options such as curry or kimchi ramen.
I went with the waiter’s suggestion to try the grilled chasu ramen. For $ 8.90 (Cheap for Cupertino!!) my bowl of noodle was very basic. It consisted of 4 thin slices of grilled chasu (which was the best part of my bowl), little slices of mushroom, nori and scallions. Overall, it was just okay; the noodle was a little too al dente for my liking. The broth was nothing like the chasu ramen I’m used to; very watered down. So, if you enjoy those creamy, thick, piggy-​back broths, this is definitely not the place!
Tip: The 50% off appetizers for Unilocal check-​ins is only applicable from 5:30 — 6:30 p. m!

Ramen Mania’s beef ramen and Japanese style ramen amazing, though I am no ramen connoisseur (How many times can I say ramen in one sentence? Ramen)! The beef ramen is my favorite, and I highly recommend it! The noodles are always perfectly cooked and just chewy enough! The eggs in the ramen are always fantastic too. :) However, the dishes always seemed to taste a little salty and left my tongue weirdly numb after I was done.
The service is pretty good too. The waiters there work really hard and they are so friendly! They really take the effort to make your experience the best and get to know you! The third time I went there, they already knew me by name and knew that I would ask for a separate bowl and stuff! Oh and also their dishes and spoons are super cute. :)
My little brother is obsessed with this place, and I hope it stays open! It doesn’t seem to be overly popular yet. :(
It might be because atmosphere/​style of the shop is kind of odd though. There are really cool authentic Japanese décor and tables on the side and there are cool sake displays, but the tables and chairs look like really cheap mall food court types. I think that if they switch out the tables, it would feel a lot more coordinated/​high class.

I remember this was a Sushi place years ago. Didnt realize the noodle craze has taken over here too. Dropped in for a quick meal. Looks like they do a Chinese beef noodle and a Japanese ramen. Opted for the latter. Soup tasted like a mix of ramen and won ton soup? The depth of flavor isnt quite there. Noodles were thin and a bit overcooked. Chasu egg and onions were standard. Service is really friendly but i think the noodles need work. They have a few other things like rice bowls, salads, and apps. Maybe it’s worth checking out too. 3.5 stars

The place has a great ambiance and is super spacious. Definitely think that the name is a bit of a false advertisement as it says «ramen mania» however, it’s not really all about the ramen. Ramen is only on the first page of the menu, they serve some other rice dishes there too.
I got the salmon rice bowl (forgot the exact name of it). Salmon was cooked well and I really liked the dressing for the spring mix salad that it came with. It’s a good piece of salmon, however, I was still hungry after as the dish was not very big and not filling. My coworkers all got ramen dishes. I tried the broth for the Pork Gristle Ramen and it was good. The broth is definitely lighter than other ramen places. The noodles did not seem very good here though. Prices for the ramen dishes are definitely lower than other places, however, as a trade off I think the quality suffers a bit.
All in all, I’m not sure I will be back here as I think there are other ramen places in the area that are better at satisfying my ramen cravings (i.e. Kotetsu!!) and the salmon rice bowl was just mediocre.
Service was good, however, at the time, they only had 1 server. If this place gets busier during the lunchtime rush, I would really recommend hiring more!

I was going to lunch at Red Hot Wok, and all of a sudden found this new ramen place popped up right next door. Well, as a ramen lover, I guess plan change!
The restaurant had opened for only about a week when I went there so it was still pretty empty during lunch hour. ** Check-​in with Unilocal and you will get a free fungus! All the staffs were still pretty green but they were polite in general.

It’s pretty much fungus with some chilly oil added that’s it. I have to say that this combination is pretty weird, but hey it’s free, can’t complain here.
Pork Gristle Ramen: B.
First of all, the pork was above average. Quite tender and I think it was sort of grilled a little bit although I could be wrong. But the main ingredients — noodle and soup, were both not very impressive. The noodle was not very chewy, and the soup was not anywhere close to other tier 2 ramen restaurants in this competition-​crowded bay area. It actually reminded me of instant cup noodle… of course it is better, but again I guess the restaurant is new and the soup wasn’t «mature» enough yet?
I will have to wait and see more Unilocalers’ reviews before deciding whether to go again or not. I mean, there are also other items on the menu, hey maybe they are specialized in making rice. Good try, but not for me this time.

The location is really cute. Looks like a little cottage turned restaurant away from the boring plaza in that same parking lot. Seems like its suffering from an identity crisis though. Looks… japanese but plays dance/​house music and the servers are young college kids. Despite all that, the seafood ramen was delicious and the servers were extra helpful and friendly. It was a rainy day and my friend i wanted to give this place a try and werr glad we did. Wanna come back to try the salmon dish!

As a ramen mania from Japan, I think this place is 2 stars.
I had braised beef ramen (Kakuni Gyuniku ramen).
First of all, the soup lacks deep flavors, no umami or dashi or koku.
The soup was not 100% hot, also too much flavorness (salty ish).
Also ordered chicken wing but told karaage was better, because it is Japanese specific, but it was not special karaage.
Good thing was now opening and 22% off.

I saw the opening notice at the Unilocal home page grabbed my husband and a few freinds and went onto the exploration mission.
This place just opened a few days ago. It used to be a sushi place and they kept all the decoration and furniture of the former place.
The menu is really small and selective I guess they want to serve only what they know they do best and it’s admirable. I think once people try them they will come back again and again.
We just loved our very helpful servers.
We were a group of five and each and every one of us enjoyed the food and the extremely enthusiastic server.
The ramen we were served was rich with deep floors and yummy noodles. The dish is huge and I struggled to finish it since it was too tasty not to finish but too big to actually do that.
The men finished their bowls, the delicate ladies didn’t. The salmon on rice bowl was delicious as well.
Go, have some good food, good service, and support this new establishment which try so hard.
