This review is long overdue but now benefits from the fact that we have lived in the finished product for over a year. Rich is amazing: über professional, efficient, no-​nonsense, articulate, extremely knowledgeable, creative, and detail-​oriented. Rich will work with your engineer to make sure you are not «over-​engineering» a remodel or new construction by suggesting practical alternatives. He has a strong opinion but it is based on good artistic and design sense. He will work with you to resolve any concerns. I cannot recommend him highly enough. We just completed our whole house remodel with Rich Perez. We bid our project to various contractors and although Rich was not the lowest, he received rave reviews from all his previous clients including our assistant pastor who used to work with him. He is very organized, prompt, offers new ideas, has a wonderful personality to work with and always returned my emails, voice mails or text messages in an extremely timely manner — which I really appreciate. In addition, all his subcontractors (tile, electrical, plumbing etc.) are of very high quality and trustworthy. Bottom line — we would not hesitate to recommend him. He is a reputable General Contractor who provides high quality service and workmanship! If we were to do it over again, not only would we select Rich, but we would work with him before getting an architect. He has a great eye for design detail, can provide great ideas that are cost effective and can suggest modifications that are within your budget. He made several changes to our house plans and we could not be more pleased!

Rich and his company built a dream home for us here in Los Gatos. His team is professional, courteous and excellent craftsmen. Rich holds them to the highest standards ensuring that the details are executed with precision. Beyond ensuring the job is done with excellence, he was a willing partner making or suggesting many improvements to the plans. For example, he up sized the a section of the roof rafters on his own making the results stronger without asking and without charging.
Rich is extremely fair and honest. He was always available to consult when we had questions. He follows up on his work for years after the job. We have highly recommended Rich to others and more than one of our friends have used him for their construction.

Due to my wife’s stroke I had to remodel my downstairs to accommodate her needs. Rich and his wife Grace made many great suggestions and made sure construction was completed, not only to my statisfaction, but also to Rich’s satisfaction. He had his crew come back and make some minor changes that I hadn’t even noticed. The project exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t have asked for a better company to do my remodeling.

I just moved in to my beautiful home built by RJ Perez and his crew. Rich brings so much more to the table than your average contractor… he has an eye for design; he is mindful of budgets; he is trustworthy and has impeccable attention to detail.
My house was done on time and Rich was in constant communication with me and always accessible — day or night — to answer any and all questions. I will recommend Rich to anyone I can regardless of the size of your project. He will make you feel like your project is the only one he is currently working on. Most importantly, this is a very stressful time and Rich knows how to calm situations and find solutions quickly and effectively.
