Wonderful, friendly service here! I only purchased a creamy bun but its a $ 5 minimum credit card charge. So the worker helped me explore some options to spend just enough to reach $ 5. She was really nice and helpful! (⁵⁄₅)
Creamy bun is fresh and warm when it comes out. Most of the donuts with ice cream I’ve had at other places come out way too sweet and it just gets messy. But my experience was pretty good. Not too much ice cream so it doesn’t just seep out and get all sticky! It’s flaky and soft, just the way I like it! Its a good value for $ 4! (⁵⁄₅)
Ice cream here isn’t anything special but I do personally enjoy the ube ice cream here. Its nice and creamy and pairs well with the creamy bun. (⁴⁄₅)
The interior is trendy and there’s also outdoor seating if you bring a pet. They also serve free water near the back door. The only downside to this place is the limited parking in the back (be careful not to get towed!) and the minimum credit card charge. Other than that, I’ll be back to get more creamy buns!

Went with my boyfriend after checking outnthe instagram, and it did not disappoint. I got the Earl Grey macaroon with Ube ice cream and my boyfriend got Earl Grey with Rasberry ripple ice cream. His was the sweet to my savory. They were both super tasty. Will definitely go again.

FINALLY a place where you can customize your macaron and not have the shell be as hard a rock (like the pre made ones). The quality of each macaron is muy bueno and also picturesque. I almost always get the earl grey shell & fruity pebbles shell w Thai tea ice cream. And the pistachio & churro shell is very good as well. They have a wide variety of ice cream flavors to choose from which is nice too, from green tea, ube, coffee chocolate, mint, etc. There is also a lot of seating areas indoor and outdoor!
Every time I go to Icebox, there’s only 1 worker there and it’s always been the same guy. I wonder if he recognizes me. But anyways service is always good and it’s a good spot to just sit and talk over ice cream! So go! And I’ll probably run into you there.

Wife and I went for a weekday tea time. Two others in the place and one employee.
Parking is very limited. A couple of spaces in back of building and a couple of spaces along the side.
Service was just fine. No one in line and the woman serving the food was polite and helpful.
Cleanliness was also fine. Bathroom was clean and looked maintained.
There is indoor and outdoor seating.
The food and coffee was… well… wow!!! I had macaroon Ice cream sandwich that consisted of two Macaroons with peppermint fudge ice cream. My wife had ice cream sandwich with warm cookie and ice cream (can’t recall flavor). We also shared a large Coffee Late. Everything was wonderful. Taste is from heaven.
I like the build your own concept. They had a lot of different options of what you could do with a good variety.
This is the only location, but I think their store is clearly something that could turn into a franchise. I am betting the owner is working out the kinks and working out the program.
Please put a mirror in the bathroom. Their sandwich can be messy and I would like to look in the mirror to see if my face is clean.
Put a few things on the wall. Do icebox related concept art. Paint the walls, pictures, murals… something.
Price is ok. Not high not low. I don’t think there is any comparitive place. But, when I paid the bill I didn’t blink so my wallet must have thought it was ok.
The ice cream sandwich here is messy. They need to make visible an eating strategy suggestion list. Their were spoons available but we didn’t know about them. When I talked to the employee she went into some detail about how people use different ways to eat the sandwich. Put that on the board or serve with apron and/​or spoon. In any case be prepared to make a mess but having fun doing it.
This place will be great on a warm summer day. I hope they are wildly successful… they deserve it.

Ice box is awesome. If you’re looking for a huge amount of ice cream sandwiched between two delicious cookies, you’ve come to the right place.
Their flavors are interesting, but nothing super unique. Same for the cookies. But warm those cookies up (which they’ll for you) and glob that ice cream between them, and you have a magical combination.
Good luck eating with your hands, because only the most cautious walk away without needing to change their clothes.

There was a line and a huge crowd inside when we came here around 9 pm, a bit too noisy so late at night. I think the crowd consisted of a huge friends gathering. There were literally 10 kids running around out of control, screaming and tossing their drinks everywhere. Made huge messes, and invaded our peace and space. The parents and employees didn’t look bothered at all, but we were. Totally took the mood out of a weekend evening having dessert. I felt disgusted looking at spilled drinks and nasty melted ice cream.

Just wanted to give a quick update since it’s been half a year since my last review here. I still find myself coming to Icebox here and there, and every time I leave extremely satisfied.
I’m sure they’re instructed to do this, but it’s still really nice that I’m always greeted as I enter the store and then thanked as I leave. They always happily offer samples and maintain good hygiene practices. When a customer asks for a sample, they immediately go wash their hands and grab brand, new disposable gloves to scoop out the sample. I haven’t come at a time when it’s been super crowded, so I can’t attest to their efficient during a rush, but I’m always served promptly.
Now for a few favorites. I really enjoy their ice cream, and more often then not I find myself getting a double scoop. The flavors I tend to choose include Thai Tea, Ube, and Green Tea. Just yesterday when I came, I noticed a new flavor, Peppermint fudge swirl, and it was DELICIOUS. Not sure how long it’s around to stay, but I thought it was a perfect blend of peppermint and chocolate, and it wasn’t overbearingly sweet.
If you come Friday-​Sunday, they offer a creamy bun, which is a fresh, piping hot glazed donut filled with an ice cream flavor of your choice. The contrast of the hot gooey donut to the slightly more firm cool ice cream, is quite nice. I personally enjoy getting the Grean Tea flavor inside mine.
A few other options include their ice cream macaron sandwiches, which I indulge in occasionally, ice cream cookie sandwiches, various teas and coffees, and snow ice. Overall, I really like grabbing a dessert here after a meal, or coming on a random night with my sister or a friend, when I have a random sweet tooth craving. The price point is great, the service is awesome, and the desserts are scrumptious. A great place for desserts if you’re in the area!

I have only tried a macaron ice cream sandwich at Icebox, and it was delightfully enjoyable. Usually ice cream sandwiches of any kind end up a sloppy dripping mess, but the macarons here didn’t crumble into pieces when you take a bite and the ice cream was frozen enough that it didn’t melt right away. The macarons were a cute spin on the typical ice cream sandwich! Plus they were very pretty and were solid inside (no hollow centers!). These macarons were flatter, thinner and larger than the French style I have seen (but I know nothing about macarons beyond that: D). The ube (purple yam) ice cream is quite interesting, and tasted quite delicious as well, so I definitely suggest giving it a try if you haven’t had it before.
Overall, as a dessert, I would still prefer my diabetes poison to be milk tea with boba, but every once in a while, I would want to stop by here to change things up! :)
FYI, parking here is horrible as there’s literally only one or two spots in the lot behind the store (designated for the store). Plus there is also people going to Tpumps looking for parking here. Don’t park in the adjacent (and connected) Apple parking lot — you’ll likely get ticketed. Best to park on the street on Blaney north of the intersection to be safe.

Customer service was ok, I can understand since we came in an hour or so before closing.
Boyfriend and I both ordered macaron sandwiches. Their selection of ice cream is a good variety also they’re very creamy and delicious. As for the macaron shells they were the perfect consistency.

NEVER have found a place that has UBE ICE CREAM! and for that, 5 stars. It was creamy and delicious. The macarons pistachio and earl gray were also great, pretty sticky though.
I tried some of the other flavors such as chocolate chip, and they weren’t too special-​neither were the cookies. They were good and worth checking out! But not particularly exceptional or tasty.
For me, the ube ice cream did it.
4.50 $ for macaron sandwich

I love this place! You can mix and match macaron cookies, and pair it with your choice of ice cream. I somehow always end up getting the tin roof sundae for my sandwich. Ugh, can’t resist that chocolate fudge and chocolate covered almonds in the ice cream!
I don’t really like the salted caramel macaron, although it seems to be one of the best sellers. It had a really strong expresso taste to it for some reason, which threw me off… My favorite macarons are the choco-​coco, churro, and pistachio! The macarons are really soft and hold the sandwich together well. However, I personally like to get a spoon and eat all the ice cream first, then the macaron.
Shout out to the ONLY employee working the night I came in. A huge rush came and he dealt with everybody so professionally and quickly. I felt bad that he might’ve felt under pressure, but he handled it so well and even went to my table afterwards to ask if everything came out okay! Props to you, Wang! I THINK that was what he said his name was!
Anyway, this is a cute, little place to hang out with your friends! Also, the menu offers more than just macaron ice cream sandwiches. They have «snow» and other sweet treats that I’ve yet to try. :)
Parking may be a little tough since the closest parking is behind the building (at designated customer spots only). Beware parking in the Apple parking lot — they may tow you!

This review is only for their snow offering. The texture is more of shaved ice instead of the expected ribbons of the selected flavor. Couple that with the portions being small and the bit pricey compared to Chilly & Munch and Teaspoon. In fact, there was a consensus among the 5 of us that they are no match against the aforementioned spots.
I may give them another shot since they do have Filipino inspired and flavored ice creams (Ube and Macapuno).

So here’s the scoop on Icebox:
Their ice cream macaron sandwiches are large and in charge! They are bigger than the usual quarter sized macarons you typically get elsewhere — these are like mini cheeseburgers but way more awesome since they taste better and travel down the esophagus way smoother than a cheeseburger would I can imagine.
There’s an array of macarons and cookies to build your macaron or cookie ice cream sandwich with along with a bunch of not-​so-​typical ice cream flavors to scoop in between that piece of carbohydrate goodness. I dig these build your own customizable joints since you can’t blame anybody but yourself for a treat that doesn’t taste so well.
This visit, the little girl in me excitedly picked a cookies and cream cookie with ube ice cream — had to take it back to my roots on this one. It was this or mango and ube won. I only had a halfer too since I didn’t really feel like indulging… yeahhhhh right, I’m lying. I also had a Creamy House Coffee which is their version of Vietnamese coffee. Little light for me since I like my coffee on the stronger side, but it did the job nonetheless.
Four stars since the first time I attempted to visit this place I couldn’t find parking. Bummed me out, big time, especially when I was trying to hit up Icebox on a near 100degree weather summer day. I would absolutely give it a 5 star rating since their desserts, macarons, cookies and coffees are memorable. However, when you can’t even find a place to park your ride at to attempt to beat the heat with some ice cream sandwiches, it becomes a little heartbreaking. You’re better off biking or walking or going when it isn’t so busy, like before they close. The flip side to that is burning off what you just ate. Gotta love the flip side :]

I had the tin roof ice cream. It was delicious. The ice cream selection is moderate and features some unique flavors. The baked goods didn’t look too fresh but I still went for a snickerdoodle cookie. It was pretty good.
The seating area is reaaalllyyy clean. I was very impressed. The one lady working was also really nice.

Compared to Milk in LA, I liked the macaron ice cream sandwich here so much more! I got the ube ice cream between an earl grey and a pistachio macaron. The macarons were the perfect texture! The shop itself is super cute as well. They have lots of cookies, ice cream, and macarons to choose from.

Awesome offerings: cookie/​ice cream sandwiches, macaroon/​ice cream sandwiches, creamy buns (ice cream scoop inside a glazed donut), scoops of ice cream, scoops of sorbet (daily free) and snow ice, plus a variety of cookies and macaroons (some gluten free).
I got a cookie/​ice cream sandwich with one chocolate chip cookie/​one M&M cookie and cookies n’ cream ice cream. YUM! I highly recommend getting it warm. The ice cream tasted great, as did the cookies. I tried a bunch of other flavors, including the Ube (purple yam), which sounds bizarre but is excellent.
Tried bites of the creamy bun… dessert inside dessert: ice cream inside a glazed donut. Very very rich, as could be expected, and was a fan favorite. Also tasted the snow ice, which is a sort of indescribable mix between ice cream and shaved ice. It’s very light, melts in your mouth, and the texture of this snow ice is grated. Hard to explain, but very good. The Milk flavor isn’t very good, but I really like the texture, and think other flavors would be good.

First let me say that normally I do not follow the hype of macroon cookies or macaroon cookie ice cream sandwiches. This place is probably the only place where I would eat macaroons though. They had cookies with different flavored. I got pistachio and sea salt caramel. Pistachio was delicious and the pecan praline ice cream I had wedged in the middle was also
. Port gooey caramel. I sampled a lot of ice cream beforehand too. The choconut macaroon was not that good. I tasted my friend’s. It was a little bland and dry. The sea salt caramel was fine. It was a tad bitter so more of a Burt caramel flavor. They had churro, birthday cake, and some other flavored too. I liked the macaroons because they were soft and more cookie like that airy and brittle. The texture was undervalued sugar cookies, if you can imagine that.
The regular cookie ice cream sandwiches are huge! Double the size of a macaroon cookie ice cream sandwich.

SO MUCH BETTER THAN CREAM.
It’s pretty much the same business model as Cream, except they also offer your ice cream inside a giant macaroon if your tastes are too refined to have it inside of a mere cookie. Both are excellent though, so take your pick.
Overall, the cookies taste fresher, the location is cleaner, the ice cream is better, and lines aren’t as long. Win.
