History

Established in 2004.

Roopa Raman, the artistic director of Henna Bash comes with a wealth of artistic creativity, leadership skills and professionalism. Art has been a driving force in Raman’s life from childhood. As a little girl, she was inspired to draw freehand and whenever she got an opportunity to sit and converse, she had a paper and pencil with her that kept her inspired in her creations. Her natural talent won her several awards & prizes in drawing and painting contests

After contributing to the IT industry for a decade, Raman took a giant leap by following her dreams and founded Henna Bash in 2004her diverse artistic and creative talents found a new beginning when she actually blended it into her passion for drawing

Today, Raman, a licensed Henna Artist, has grown Henna Bash to new horizons by providing consistent quality service to all her clients. Her open-​minded, friendly, patient and artistic approach has won her recognition in the media as well as numerous appreciations from her clients.

Contacted Roopa within a short timeframe and she was able to accommodate my event into her schedule. GREAT to work with and showed up on time. The BEST part is that she has a COI (Certificate of Insurance). Those of you planning corporate events will know the significance of having a vendor with a COI. So, book her if you’re ever in need of a henna artist!

I went to Roopa for Henna and Jagua to cover a large ugly scar on my arm. She did a great job covering it and you couldn’t see it at all and it lasted for a couple weeks. She has always been very flexible squeezing me in last minute. She’s the best!!! Not to mention very detailed work! I am a repeat customer for sure

I will always use Henna Bash for my events!
After meeting Roopa at an event through work I called her very last minute to ask her if she could do henna at my birthday party, not only did she accommodate me on such short notice but her prices we incredibly reasonable. Roopa showed up on time and did excellent work. Everyone was so excited to get some henna and it turned out beautiful! Roopa is professional, talented and above all very sweet! Thank you Henna Bash for making my birthday much more special and exciting!

Roopa was very accommodating and understanding. I set up an appointment for my friends and I, but at the last minute I called her and told her that we would be late. She was kind enough to fit us in an hour later, which was perfect.
As for the henna itself Roopa did an amazing job. If you don’t know what kind of design you want, she has books full of designs that you can choose from. My friends and I choose 1 or 2 designs from the books and had her freehand to connect the designs together. Roopa is truly an artist. She is also friendly and knows what she is doing.

I used Henna bash for my bridal mehendi night. Roopa and Deepali were amazing. Prior to my mehendi night I was able to schedule a complimentary trial with Deepali. Deepali was professional and sociable the day of my mehendi. Despite the hotel being late on having my bridal suite ready, Deepali was able to start henna on my aunt and mother in the hotel lobby. When the bridal suite was finally ready, Deepali immediately started my bridal henna designs. She even did henna on my cousins, sister, and father! I highly highly recommend Henna Bash for your bridal henna! You will not regret it. THANK YOU for making my wedding weekend memorable.

Had a great experience with Henna bash. Roopa was just so pleasant to work with. Her designs were beautiful and she was extremely patient. The hair and make-​up artist through Henna bash was also very nice. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time because for us it took more time than I had expected.

Got the contact and website through a friend few days leading to my engagement! Despite the late notice, she promptly set up the appointment, called in for a reminder. Have thoroughly enjoyed the conversation on the day of mehendi and the professionalism before that. She went through all the options for flowers and made sure I was comfortable choosing what was best for my situation. Accepted PayPal which was again super convenient to pay. Will definitely recommend for anyone who’s planning to set up a party/​looking for a decorator.

Had a great mehndi party with my girlfriends just before my wedding. Roopa did a wonderful job on my more complex hands and feet before my girlfriends arrived, then did more simple designs for them. She provided a great space for the party, was very easy to chat with – both about the desired design and everything else – and was a very gracious host to all of us. She was easy to work with throughout the whole process of arranging the party and finalizing the details. A great experience!

This is the second event that the Student Union at CSUMB has had Roopa do henna at our event and every time we have had students wrap the room waiting. Her designs are very creative and the students just love her free hand. I was able to tell her what I liked and she was able to just go off of memory. In total she must have accommodated over 100 students at the event. She is definitely amazing!
I would highly recommend her services to anyone!

I hired Roopa and Henna Bash for a henna party prior to my wedding in May 2014 in San Francisco. I selected Henna Bash because of Roopa’s prompt communication and flexibility. Roopa and her assistant showed up right on time and began to work tirelessly for the next 3 hours, decorating the hands and feet of the 20 women at the party. Their designs were creative and detailed and Roopa was very efficient. They had multiple books of designs for guests to choose from but were also able to freehand beautiful work. She used very high quality henna that was ready to go and that lasted for almost two weeks and everyone really loved their designs. Roopa was lovely to work with and I would happily use Henna Bash again.

Roopa was absolutely amazing! I called on a Friday and needed a henna design done the next day for my birthday. She booked me last minute. Her work is beautiful and detailed, not to mention she’s fast! I loved my design. She is warm, friendly and has a great personality. I will definitely be going back and referring my friends to her!

My first henna tattoo was done by an artist from Henna Bash.
I worked with Roopa and she was very accommodating to my requests. There were two artists from Henna Bash at my event and they showed up before the event started. We provided a table & chairs for the guests and artists. Many people weren’t aware of their service, thus I had to tape the henna designs onto the table.
There were two different colors of henna offered. Since our skin is lighter in our palms, it’s best to do the henna tattoo there. When you get henna done, you’ll want to avoid washing the area until it fully dries. My henna lasted about four days. I got many compliments from people and told them to check out Henna Bash. I’ll keep Henna Bash in mind for my future events.

Had a great experience with Roopa and her associate Deepa for a corporate holiday event. They were onsite for 3 hours and did a fantastic job. They kept the designs simple for the event so they could maximize the number of people that came to their table.
They arrived about 10 minutes before the event start and were ready to go in minutes. Prices were very reasonable. I was told my henna design would last 7 – 8 days and they weren’t kidding! By the morning of day 8, you could barely see it so it really did last the full week!
I loved the look and want to do it again! I would absolutely bring Roopa back to our office for another corporate event!
