Specialties

We are UC experts and private college expert college admission counselors, we’ve coached nearly 400 students. Our students get in to their top choice colleges and graduate in 4 years.

We work with students to develop strong and unique applications: resume, special talents, leadership, essays, community and global involvement and develop college lists that FIT their interests and passions.

We work with High school students in the San Francisco Bay area as well as India, Mexico, Korea and Japan. Our team also coaches transfer students from community college to UC or private colleges.

In 2012 our students collectively have been awarded over 1M in merit scholarships.

Dr. Ted Kahn, Ph. D is the career and graduate school counselor. He is an expert at identifying strengths and talents so students can choose a major/​potential career. Mapping this to emerging careers bridges school courses to the world of work=success.

Frona K.

Business Owner

Frona Kahn is an internationally recognized Education and College Counseling Expert. A founder of The Learning Company in the early 80’s, Frona is always a pioneer in helping students succeed.

She founded DesignWorlds for College in 2003 to help students and their families navigate a complex admissions process She’s counseled nearly 400 students .Her vision for success is when DWC students thrive as undergrads and come back to DWC for help getting to grad or medical school.

Educated at UC Berkeley, Frona attends National College counseling conferences and networks and travels to meet with Admission Representitives.
