History

Established in 1969.

Dr. Ludwig maintains one of the oldest dental practices in Cupertino, CA. His father started the dental practice in 1969 in an office just a short distance from the current one. Over the years it has remained a true family practice, served faithfully by a father and son. It has always been a patient centered practice with consistent and happy staff members.

Business Owner

Dr. Ludwig received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from UCSB, and he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UCLA. He has worked in a private dental practice since 2001. He keeps very current with new technology and procedures. He also keeps up to date with numerous continuing education courses, ensuring his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. He is an active member and participant in the Santa Clara County Dental Society (SCCDS), California Dental Association (CDA), and American Dental Association (ADA).

Dr. Ludwig spends most of his free time outside the office with his family. He has been happily married to his wife for over fifteen years. They have four wonderful children

He is an active member of his local church and community. He also enjoys playing and watching sports.

I just completed my first visit to Dr. Ludwig’s office. Reyna, at the desk, is warm and welcoming. Hygienist Paula did my x-​rays using an e-​ray machine that rotates around one’s head. Nothing to gag on. That was a pleasure! Paula cleaned my teeth using an ultrasonic wand. Much easier than the scaling tools used in my previous (retired) dentist’s office. She was particularly careful about not causing discomfort. Dr. Ludwig did a thorough exam which included checking my lymph nodes, salivary glands. He took time to sit and ask questions about my previous care, personal dental customs, and gave me recommendations for the future. This first-​time experience was impressive and I look forward to being a patient in this practice.

Once again, my fears of a dental procedure were unfounded. Removing an old and starting a new crown was daunting and I had been dreading it for a couple weeks. I should know better by now! I felt no pain and the procedure was explained to me step by step as it was being done. SO gentle. The entire office staff is friendly and I’m very comfortable … once I get there! Thank You

Dr. Ludwig and his staff are always pleasant to deal with, as well as always smiling! The office seems to work like a well oiled machine, and service is as easy and quick as I have seen in any office. Dr. Ludwigs chairside manner is also soothing and mellow for anyone that dislikes the «chair»! I would recommend this crew to any of my family and friends, and I don’t actually mind going to the dentist knowing how the experience will be. Thank you Ludwig Dental for the years of great service!

Was going to Dr. Ludwig for almost a decade! Had to change to another dentist because of insurance reasons. However, if you are looking for a dentist, he is the only one you need. Hands down! Excellent and professional service all around. The staff is wonderful! My son even enjoyed his time there. You really can’t get better than Dr. Ludwig!

got an fast appointment because of my painful tooth. Dan was very good at spotting the problem and got the process underway to fix it. As usual, Dan Ludwig was extremely pleasant & helpful.

Our family has been going to Dr. Ludwig since before he took over, the change was smooth, it never felt like growing pains. Dr. Dan took over so well, is very thorough, and a great chair side manner. Eye contact, feels like genuine concern and interest, his staff is the best! I get my teeth cleaned by Calla, who is gentle and soothing. She is a calm conversationalist. My kids see Danelle, who is fantastic with the kids.

I just started going to see Dan with my kids this past year. I love the location and I love the staff. They are so friendly. Our Hygenist is Dawnell she is so sweet and gentle with my children. And the other Hygenist we have seen as well but I can’t remember her name. She is so friendly and definetly makes me feel welcome. I love Dan. He is so helpful and nice to us. He explains everything to me and answers my questions. THe receptionist also is very kind. I usually talk to her while I wait for my kids. She is so nice. I just love this place and am so glad that we are going here now. What a great Dental staff. AMAZING! OK i m done…;)
