The instruments might be good, but the service is hopeless. We went 3 times and they never got it repaired. Each time we gave them 3 – 5 days. And every time we would come back to take it because my son would have a lesson, we would here a lame excuse.

Very patient and kind with my young budding musicians, from helping them pick out instruments to sharing advice and support as they get more experienced. My younger one takes private lessons there, and Darren and Kristina are always warm to us while we wait and patient and friendly with people coming in. Lovely place.

Since I just occasionally dropped in, I have returned many times. I find their service, consultancy and offers most valuable. I am very grateful to know such a friendly and competent and reliable music partner on my doorsteps! With my two kids playing instruments I am sure to be a regular guest!

Love this place for instrument repairs. I had a clarinet and tenor sax fixed here. Both repairs were finished quickly and at a fair price. The sax was polished to look like new! Skip the over-​priced shops that want to schedule your appointment 6 – 8 weeks out and check out Crossroads.

This review is a few weeks late, but I wanted to make sure I shared my excellent experience! I was looking for a place to purchase a guitar (+ accessories) as a gift and after looking through all the local (and even some not-​so-​local) I decided on Crossroads. However I was staying with family a few hours away from Cupertino and after trying to get going on time (you know how it is with family!) I realized I was going to be about 15 minutes late after their closing time. Desperate to purchase it that night (I needed to present the gift early the next day) I called to see if they’d be willing to stick around. Well it turns out that I had read their hours wrong and was actually going to be an HOUR and fifteen minutes late (doh!)
But when I realized this while on the phone with Darren he offered to come back 90 minutes after closing time to help me, now that’s what I call customer service! I try to support small business when I can rather than going to big-​box type stores (and this is one of the reasons).
When we met up at the store, Darren helped me pick out just the right guitar: high quality and on target price-​wise. He was professional, knowledgeable and not snobby at ALL about me not knowing exactly what I was looking for. I would’ve been seriously out of luck had he not been willing to be flexible and come back to meet me!
So while I recommend trying to get there within their actual store hours, know that Darren is the kind of business owner that wants to help you get what you need at a price you can afford.

Parking is good and easy. I didn’t have any problems. The store is homey, and has 2 back rooms where they teach music lessons. I believe they do guitar, voice, cello, and saxophone. Maybe they have more.
I bought a guitar from Darren and he was really attentive. He listened to me, and recommended a cheaper guitar to start me off so I felt taken care of. He wasn’t going to sell me a ridiculously expensive guitar because I’ve just taken up interest. He also recommended a self-​learning book on guitar since I cannot commit to weekly lessons with my schedule. I know I’d be much better if I took lessons, but this is what I can afford for now and I’m grateful that he didn’t try to pressure me into buying more than I was comfortable with.
Overall, this is a nice family owned business with honest people. That’s always a plus and I’m happy with my purchase.
The staff are very friendly, I’d come here for lessons in the future.

They have the best music and instrument store I have ever bought from. They are courteous, talented, and know the music business inside and out. I bought my guitar there and highly recommend Darren Anderson and Kristina Sablan, owners, as being THE BEST!!!

The store relatively new and a wonderful store. It’s well stocked and can service just about all musical needs. Darren was very knowledgeable about the origins and quality of the instruments they sell. They have a great collection of lesson books for several instruments. The pricing is very fair and the service is fast, clear and friendly. Great place!

Their tech Darren recently installed some new pickups on my guitar. He went out of his way to show me exactly what was being done, and how he was doing it. I appreciated this more than somebody who just hands you a repaired guitar and a bill. Their prices are reasonable and the location is convenient.

This place is amazing. I was able to get my entire guitar fixed for only $ 35! A guy named Darren fixed almost everything (my guitar was super dusty, old gross, the strings were gone, etc) and made it playable. Also, they finish fixing it pretty fast in about an hour. I totally recommend this place.
They also have a lot of music books and this was the only place near my location that my brother was able to find his book for band.

I flew in for my son’s wedding, expecting to play my Mark VI tenor saxophone during the festivities. The baggage handlers at Delta must have played basketball with my horn. The leather trim on the case was shredded, a snap on an inside compartment was ripped off, and the horn would no longer play in the lower register.
The repair guy at Crossroads fixed my horn overnight. (And without my asking he even fixed up my case.). It now plays the best it ever has. It’s as if I got a complete overhaul for $ 55, and with 24 hour turn around.

Finally a local music store in the Cupertino and Sunnyvale area that has band instrument repair and rental!
They are in the same complex as Aqui Cal Mex (a favorite of mine).
They repaired my son’s tenor sax quickly at competitive rates. It looks like they have a good selection of instruments and music to purchase. The guys I talked to in the shop are personable and knowledgeable.
If you have a student in a local school band, you should check them out.

Visited this place for the first time last Saturday. Was greeted by one of the owners who is himself a musician, and we had a great chat about different instruments and the Bay Area Music scene. Turns out he plays in a band that plays around town a lot. They carry a wide range of instruments and would be a great place to get an instrument when you are first starting out. I was looking for some high-​end drum parts, so I guess I wasn’t that surprised when they didn’t carry what I was looking for, although they do have some very nice guitars on the wall. I liked the friendly, no-​pressure sales style… this is exactly what you would hope for in a neighborhood music store. They are really conveniently located to Cupertino where I live, so I hope they thrive and expand!

Darren was very helpful with my son’s purchase of a Takamine acoutic electric guitar. He gave us a very good price, explained about the product and their services. Definitely will be back. Love supporting small local businesses instead of going to the bland superstores.
