I have been coming to Sally of Choco salon for almost a year now. Sally has always been very professional and dedicated to her passion. I always feel she has a magic touch; by transforming my dry, frizzy and wavy hair to beautiful silky hair with radiant lasting curls. In addition, I love the way she colors and cuts my hair. She knows the perfect color and hairstyle that suits me. For someone who is as picky as me I’m so glad I have finally found Sally. Attached are the pictures which I just took it today. I had her colored, deep conditioning and curled my hair. I have to say that’s my secret beauty ritual! If you are looking for a well trained and talented hair stylist remember to call Sally. I like coming to Sally. She delivers the perfect mens cuts for me (consistently) and keeps me lookin’ good. Been here for years and keep coming back. And did I mention I live 40 miles away? :)
She runs a good shop with great staff. For you girls who want the hair straightening, give her some heads up/​advanced notice and she’ll definitely deliver. If not, talk to her she’ll work something out with you.

Sally is the go-​to-​person for me, my husband and my three year old son. She is not only good at adults’ haircut, she is also good at interacting with kids. My son LOVES her and is always willing to sit still to get the haircut done.
Sally has a fashionable yet practical mindset and always gets my hair done nicely.

Best place for hair straightening. Sally is amazing with permanent straightening. I have long, very curly hair and she is meticulous. I’ve gone several other places and done keratin straightening, Brazilian blow out and Japanese straightening. I like keratin and Brazilian but they don’t leave your hair completely straight and require a little work. First time I tried Japanese somewhere else it didn’t work. I came to Choco and had it done and was hooked! It was amazing. Absolutely requires no work. Dries perfect, no blow drying needed. I’m not kidding!
I’ve come back 3 times always with excellent results. It takes about 4 hours, but I only come once every 4 – 6 months. And in between I literally wash my hair and go… let it dry on the way. Also contrary to what some say, my hair still curls great with curling iron or flat iron if I want to wear curly.

Today i showed a picture of the hair I want and it clearly had no where even close to head bangs in the picture. The lady kept cutting and cutting and she turned me away from the mirror. When I turned back around I HAD BANGS. Disgusted. She kept trying to convince me to get a perm to fix my hair and she kept nagging at me. Never will I come here again.

it has been over 3 months, i has some hair snapped from the damaged part close to hair root. went to a Unilocal 4 and half star hair salon today. The stylist told me she cannot put any mchemical on my hair or my hair gonna completely snap. I have to wait years for this damaged part grow out. Very upset!!! Do Not come here for hair straighting!!! I’d rather bump my head to the wall that day!!!

This salon is not the only reason I went there. In the back room, there is the most facial expert I’ve met in the bay area, and her name is Mei.
I was impressed how excellent Mei’s technique is. She not only does all the standard steps that anywhere else does, she also knows how to take out some hidden pimples beyond the black heads. Which is something can’t be done by someone without years of experiences and well trained techniques.
She’s the best Asian Cosmetologist that I’ve ever tried so far in the bay area!

I’ve tried getting my hair cut at several salons in the Bay Area, and this is by far the best one I’ve been to. At other places, asking to get my sideswept bangs or my hair trimmed doesn’t usually yield the results I want, but at ChoCo Salon, my hairstyle always turns out exactly the way I imagined, and sometimes better. I usually go to Sally, who has a knack for grasping the ideas behind my requests and making suggestions for minor adjustments that are flattering to my face shape and style. Unlike some other stylists though, she respects my wishes and always asks before implementing changes. The staff is very nice, respectful, attentive, and friendly. Best of all, the pricing is very reasonable, especially for the great work they do! This is my new go-​to salon!

Mei does a fantastic job for facial. She is very thorough and into details. She cleans, removes black spots, use all nice machines, and in the end she also gave you a nice neck and shoulder massage with some really fragrant lotion. A little about how much she is into details — normally when people removes the black heads from your face, it pinches a little bit. To make it easier for her customers, she got some medical power that eases this sensation, so that you won’t hurt too much.
Mei has a Chinese medicine background, so she always use nice organic herbal product. Her products feel so good on the face! A couple of years ago, my face got some allergic reaction to a face wash I used. It turned red, hard, and it hurts. I came to Mei for rescue. She gave me some simple organic mist, and some of her medical use herbal lotion, in 2 days my face returned to normal. If you want some skin care product recommendation, she is the best person to go!
About the machines, Mei use all top of line devices. One machine to highlight. I forgot the name of this little magic magnetic machine. It literally lifts the skin and ease the wrinkles! At my eye I don’t have much wrinkle, but the «laughing wrinkle» started to show up. the first time Mei used this machine on me, she did only half of the face first, and let me see the difference. The part that the machine has worked on is visibly lifted and shined. Like a miracle.
Last but not least, Mei is very reasonable on the price. I’ve been coming here to see her for a while now and she is always very open and honest about the cost. She is so pleasant to talk to. it’s absolutely a treat to go to see her, have her make your face feel good, and chat with this lovely lady. Will recommend her to everyone and anyone!

Mei Liu provides facials from a room in the ChoCo Salon. She is very skilled, flexible and sweet. The complete experience is enjoyable.
I have people guess that I am 10 years younger than I actually am. It is wonderful to experience services that are so effective, and also provides a little oasis of rest during a hectic day.

Eva is awesome! I have super heavy long hair, and I didn’t know how to take care of it. I walked in hoping to get something new for the summer, then I got my cute bangs and a much lighter weight to carry around! Eva patiently listened to me, gave me some useful tips and advice. I am very satisfied with her service. Will definitely go back!

This is a great salon and Sally is a really experienced stylist. I’ve been here several times and each time I feel refreshed and satisfied. The price is reasonable. It is $ 30 for hair cut, which is relatively cheap considering the great service and skills. I recommended my friends to come and they like this salon as well.

I Will Never Go Back. !!! The hair cut did not turn out good at all and I was upset. Instead of apologizing, the stylist actually talked so much and was demeaning to me for example, this hair style is so popular, why do you want to make yourself so old and old fashioned? Yes, no kidding. She is telling me I am OLD fashioned because I was upset about the cut that totally unsuitable for my face and my personality. That was the most nonsense I had ever hear from a stylist. After the cut, I honestly won’t be able to have it fixed anywhere else now, because it is much shorter than I wanted while she tried to fix it she kept cutting more… In a word, you might not want such a wonderful experience so I have to say something here.
