Arnel Lee and Gary Lum, DDS

Really like the team and Dr. Lee. The entire setup is extremely professional, the staff are nice and scheduling is easy and Dr. Lee is extremely good and very practical. I also enjoy that they do not hustle and give you a very fair assessment on the costs and insurance coverage. I am not a big fan of any sort of doctor/​dentist in general but have to say that the experience has always been great and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good dentist in the area.

They’re great — appointments on Saturdays, samples, kind & helpful staff. They give accurate quotes for services including what will be covered by your insurance and what your portion will be. They have lots of great magazines — but you won’t get much chance to read them because they never leave you waiting.

Nice friendly staff. Clean office. My visit here was very pleasant. I think I have found my go to dental office!

This review is for Dr. Katarina Tu, who started working there about a year ago. She gets 5 stars. I have been going to this office since Dr Amy Huang gave up renting the space and moved somewhere else. We were given the opportunity to try Dr. Lee and Lum to see how things go. After a year or so, I had a fairly pricey night guard (which I knew I would not use – I sleep very light) and got my teeth cleaned regularly… every three months, as a matter of fact, because I have double coverage. I had been complaining for several months of a pain in my molar at the gum line which was not getting better. On my initial visit about a year earlier, the hygienist had done some measurements of my gum line, which any dentist was able to review and consider when diagnosing my pain. I had a couple of talks with either Dr. Lee or Lum, which always ended in a supposition by them that it was probably something minor. The chart was there to look at, but I had no idea what it meant. Then months later, I came in and Dr. Tu happened to be in that day and was handling me. I told her my complaint, she stepped out of the room for a bit, looked at the gum line data, asked for another round of measurements. My gums were a lot worse, and she figured out that visit, that I had periodontal disease. She took charge of the situation and recommended a deep-​cleaning treatment – which was not pleasant, but because she carefully explained what it did, and how it would likely come out, I consented. My gum line measures better now, and the pain is gone. Dr. Tu is my dentist now, and I would recommend her to anyone.

I’ve been seeing Dr Lee since he started his business in Santa Clara and never met a dentist so genuine and honest. He’s also patient with my children too when my son made a mess in his office. I’ll never go to another dentist again.

I have only great things to say about Dr Gary Lum, his assistant Julia and hygienist Agnes. It had been a while since I had been to a dentist’s office after a rather traumatic experience at my last dentist’s where they did not believe me when I said I felt pain during the procedure after numbing me up. Things came to a head though and a cavity required me to see a dentist and my husband recommended Dr Lum and Dr Lee. Dr Lum was very cordial and patiently listened to all that I had to say. He took into consideration my other ailments at the time and my anxiety with respect to dentists. Instead of dismissing my fears as other dentists had before, he believed me and made me super comfortable about the entire process. In fact he even called in another dentist to help numb me up, when it became clear that the anaesthesia was wearing off very fast in my body. The procedure took multiple visits over a few weeks and I just got a permanent crown on my tooth yesterday. My attitude towards dentists is transformed thanks to my experience here. 5 stars, and I would give more if I could!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Lee and Dr. Lum since I moved to the Bay Area 3 years ago when they were still in Santa Clara.
Their new office is much nicer, but the drive to get there is such a pain. Still, it’s worth it.
More importantly, they’re not a business who tries to gouge every penny from you. They’ve been very reasonable and patient with my insurance and personal financial situation. I’ve let my teeth really deteriorate during the years I didn’t have insurance nor a job. I’m trying my best to save what’s left and they’ve been really good with supporting me.
Chelsea and Sherry are always a pleasure to see and work with. Everyone here just seems genuinely happy. What a great establishment!

I’ve been with Dr. Lum’s since his practice opened in Santa Clara originally. I’ve been to 3 different dentists in the past 15 years, I have been very impressed with the quality of care that Dr. Lum provides, He also employs the latest technology and genuinely cares about provide highest quality care to his patients.

I’ve been coming to this dental office location for 4 – 5 years now, since Dr. Amy used to work there. To be honest, I’m always one to be afraid of dentists and that terrible drilling noise #cantstandit and I used to switch from dentist to dentist almost every year. I’m so happy I gave Dr. Amy a try and she ended up being the most friendly dentist I’ve ever met. Every time I went in, no matter if it’s just a teeth cleaning or to get a crown put in, she always made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely give her credit for getting over my fear of dentists!
I know Dr. Amy now has handed over the location to Dr. Lee and Dr. Lum. At first I was pretty sad to see her go because she’s always been there for my teeth, through thick and thin. However, after I’ve had my first appointment with Dr. Lee and Dr. Lum, I felt right at home again. Dr. Lum always makes sure I feel the least pain whenever he does anything, even something as simple as using the water spray to spray my teeth. I love how caring they are. Not to mention, the staff is just wonderful as well! Sherry is always accommodates to my last minute cancellations and appointment switches and has never given me the stink eye.
Highly recommend this to anyone, especially those who have not yet found the right dentist yet! Thank you for all the help with my pearly whites!

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Lum for many years since he opened up the office in Santa Clara. My husband was looking for something close to work so we decided to give this office a try. It was a great choice. The dentists I’ve seen in the past have been after one thing, your wallet. Dr. Lum actually cares for his patients and doesn’t perform «unnecessary» work like other dentist do. They upgraded their office to Cupertino, I am thinking to accommodate all of their patients. The office staff is also very professional and greets you when you enter their office. I highly recommend Dr. Lum.

I have been going to Dr. Lum for a couple years now. Dr. Lum and his staff are always professional and friendly. My teeth have never been in better shape. I always look forward to my next visit.

I’ve been with Dr. Lum for almost 8 years and give him my highest recommendation. He is very thorough, knowledgable, and makes you feel at ease. All his staff are also very friendly and professional. He is well deserving of the «5 star» rating!

My family has been coming to this dental office for 8 years. We find the staff professional, gentle, and good with both adults and kids. I also appreciate that they don’t try to upsell us on extra services or products that we don’t need, unlike our previous dentist! If you want an honest dentist that you will be happy to stick with for life, I recommend Dr. Lee and Dr. Lum.

I took my mother in law in to see Dr. Lum for her broken denture. He was able to fit her in right away. He was clear and thorough with explaining her options. Best of all, his friendly personality made her feel at ease. Thanks for your help Dr. Lum & staff! I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr. Arnel Lee is a very nice person and an excellent dentist. I found him through Unilocal when he was at another location in Santa Clara and followed him over to the Cupertino office. I thought it was only right to put a review to help someone else make the decision on which dental office to go with, like it did for me. He is honest and won’t recommend you to do unnecessary work on your teeth to make a quick buck, which I have experienced in the past. He is gentle when working on your teeth and explains everything well. The staff is super nice and the office is in a nice location too! So stop searching, and go with Dr. Lee!

Im writing this review because I think I should give credit when it is certainly due. It took me a while to find a dentist that I was comfortable with until I went to this office. I first met Dr. Lum several years ago and was impressed that he was very meticulous and informative to my dental needs. Then when I had a dental emergency (I broke off my tooth), I got to meet Dr. Lee who took great care of me. Both dentists are very caring and will listen to you when you tell them you are dental phobic– they will explain and answer your questions.
In addition, there staff is the best, very friendly. I am happy that I have been referring all my co-​workers, friends, and family here so they can get the best of care like I do!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Lum for 4 years now. I first saw Dr. Lum at his old Santa Clara office. My first impression was that it was a very clean office and he was very personable and friendly. This year they moved to an office a little further away for me, but definately worth the extra 10 minutes drive. Dr. Lum is very easy going and his staff are super nice. The dental hygienist was very gentle cleaning my teeth and gave me some tips on what I can do to improve my dental care. The attitude of the entire office really takes the edge off of what can be a very uncomfortable experience. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Lee is by far the best dentist I’ve ever had. I used to dread going to the dentist, but not anymore! Dr. Lee is super gentle and patient. I don’t even mind when I have cavities anymore because I know I’m in great hands. 100% worth the drive from San Francisco, even to this new location in Cupertino.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Gary Lum for a few years now. Every experience has been great! My previous dentist told me I was on the verge of cavities on every visit and that the next visit, I would need to get fillings. When I first saw Dr. Lum, I mentioned this, but, when Dr. Lum looked at my teeth, he said although they were nearing the verge of cavities, as long as I kept up maintenance of my teeth, I would not need any fillings. I still have no fillings to this day. When I asked Dr. Lum questions about my tooth sensitivity, he broke it down into laymen’s terms and made everything easy to understand. The entire staff are all highly competent and knowledgeable and the hygienist is fantastic! I’ve referred all my friends and coworkers to his office. I highly recommend Dr. Lum!

Awesome dental office! I haven’t been to the dentist in years and finally decided to get a check up. I was referred to Dr. Gary Lum. He and his staff are both very friendly and knowledgeable. They were also very accommodating with my appointments and any needs. Never had to wait more than a few minutes upon arrival for my appointments. Got my cleaning and cavities all done in one visit. Definitely recommend!!!
