Both of my daughter go to Dr. Kouvaris for orthodontics. We had a great experience there so far. One of my daughter went though expansion and retaining. The other are going through consultation at the moment. Dr. Kouvaris is very patient and take time to discuss the issue involve with our daughters. Highly recommended.

This review is not for Dr Kouvaris but rather for the service the staffs provided. Dr Kouvaris is actually the reason I still decided to have the treatment there.
First it’s about the consultation schedule, I was hung up in the middle of the conversation, and when I called back I could not get through, then I left a voice message, I got a call back only until the next day maybe around lunch time or afternoon. Then after a week, I tried to reschedule, but had to leave a voice mail again and never received call back. I made another call luckily finally talked to someone.
Then it’s the first visit, I didn’t feel being welcome, when I was waiting there was one moment that I thought maybe I should leave and no one would even notice I was gone…
The staffs seem nice but I kinda felt the stress behind their «big» smiles. When I asked one more question before signing the contract, I could feel the impatience from the front desk…
The assistant took my pictures was really not very caring, because I had the exact same service in other orthodontist, they knew it may cause a bit pain, and they were very careful, so I didn’t feel any discomfort, but here, my tears almost came out when she tore my mouth open to take the damned photo of my teeth!
However, Dr Kouvaris did seem very professional and nice, and also his price is very competitive compared to the other orthodontists I visited. So I follow my guts and am really looking forward to the final result.
I will update once I have more visits and see the service improved, it’s gonna be a one year treatment.

I completed my adult Invisalign orthodontics here over the course of two years and my wife is currently still a patient who has gone through both Invisalign and regular braces. We both have enjoyed Dr Kouvaris’ friendly personality, friendly staff and professionalism. I would recommend Dr Kouvaris’ office to anyone looking for an excellent orthodontic experience in Cupertino.

I love Dr. Kouvaris! His is the best Orthodontist, He is so gentle and very detailed. He made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I finally got my braces off last Thursday and I love my new smile! Not mention the goody bag they give you once you have completed treatment. I would recommend Dr. Kouvaris to everyone I know! Thank you for making me smile again, its been so long since I felt comfortable enough to smile!

My 8 yr old daughter went to him for correcting her teeth. Great attitude, no sales pressure of un-​necessary products, warm smiles and peaceful environments. I presume the right approach to treatment was done, based on common sense and comparing to Western Dental on Hillsdale/​Leigh (who can be avoided).

Dr Kouvaris was nice and very petient during my consultation for braces. His office staff are all very nice and pleasant too! The office is very clean and bright! very comfortable. The Dr did not take any pictures or x-​ray, but mentioned that these will be done during a sencond visit. Their price is not the most expensive one, but still in the higher end. I did not get braces there becuase the concern of price and possiblity of more visits needed. If you don’t need to worm 8 to 5, this should not be a concern to you. Overall it seems a good office, better than average, you should visit the office yourself to determine if they fit your needs for braces. the consultation is free and worth the trip.

Came back again for a new mouth guard to protect me from grinding my teeth down. Dr. Kouvaris is still super friendly, genuine, helpful, and considerate of budget and costs. I called today for a semi-​urgent appt and was able to get in the same day which was awesome. A+! Only thing is that I think he’s only in this office on Fridays?

Dr. Kouvaris is an extremely intelligent and personable doctor, that understands the results you want, and is honest and up front on whether or not he can help you. He literally treats all of his patients like family, and recommends treatment accordingly. I am so happy a website, like Unilocal,exists to let everyone know how great of a doctor he is. If you or your children ever need any work done, he is the only person in the Bay Area I would go to.

I am one of those relapsed cases.
After wearing metal braces for several years in middle school, I neglected to wear my retainers post-​braces, and my lower front teeth moved and progressively overcrowded more and more. Eventually, not only was the appearance bothering me, but so was the bite as this was affecting my upper front teeth as well.
I did some pretty extensive online legwork and found 3 local orthodontists (I highly advise orthodontist over dentist, you want to get it right the first time around) whom I visited to get initial Invisalign consults. I was set on Invisalign because I absolutely didn’t want to revisit those middle school years with metal braces. And who doesn’t want to get Align Technology’s computerized video showing exactly how your teeth will move back into alignment? So cool for the nerdiest of us!
After visiting all 3, I decided to go with Dr. Kouvaris over the other two orthodontists in the area who are also highly rated. His pricing was completely reasonable, and my dental insurance+HSA made Invisalign pricing even better. As a person, Dr. Kouvaris is genuine, easy going, and a straight-​shooter, patiently and thoroughly answering all my questions rather than trying to impress me with an over-​the-​top remodeled storefront and marketing materials I know my Invisalign overhead dollars would be going toward. Additionally, he treated me like an educated peer, respecting my opinions and thoughts, and sharing his own expert advice. He has solid academic training and experience.
My 9-​month Invisalign treatment plan went off without a hitch. It wasn’t painless (when is moving teeth painless?), but it was comforting knowing the pain was coming from my teeth being moved in the correct direction and being able to see the progress with each new aligner. And during each office visit, I was greeted with warm smiles by everyone there and my questions were always answered.
Since finishing Invisalign, I have been loving my new teeth! Dr. recommended a permanent lingual retainer to maintain my now super straight lower front teeth. I took his advice and have grown to love it. Additionally, he sculpted my teeth so they are all the same height and perfectly even — love the perfectionism!
I’ve also been wearing my upper removable retainer every night because I want to make sure my teeth stay as straight as can be. I definitely don’t want to be re-​straightening them again after having now gone through two rounds of braces. But if I were to do it again, I would definitely go back to Dr. Kouvaris with no hesitations.

Dr. Kouvaris is a very talented and patient Orthodontist. I had the crookedest teeth of anyone I knew and now my teeth are perfect. I experienced very little pain and no frustration during my two year process.
Everyone at the office is extremely friendly and nice. I have only had good experiences in my 10 – 15 visits in my two years.

I was recommended to several Asian doctors and also Dr. Kouvaris. I met with a few of the Asian places and had a general rushed feeling and that they just wanted my money. However, after meeting Dr. Kouvaris in person, I felt comfortable that my teeth were in good hands! I booked him the day of my initial consultation.

This was 2.5 years ago. The metal and wires came off last week. Yes, my treatment is now over and I have a smile that would make any Ortho proud. I removed 6 teeth and had a K9 sticking out of the front, not pretty and not an easy case. Dr. Kouvaris came up with a treatment plan for me and would settle for nothing less than perfection — no matter how much I pushed and whined. He is a perfectionist to the core and I thank him now. I mainly came in for my appointments on Fridays — his staff always greeted me with smiles and accommodated my schedule whenever they could.
I highly recommend Dr. Kouvaris and his staff. They are great professionals that cater to the needs of their patients.

Okay, so I’ve only been here once, for a consultation, but I have a very positive impression of Dr. Kouvaris and his staff.
I decided I wanted Invisalign. Vain, maybe, but I’ve never been completely happy with my smile, and while I’m not willing to spend a year or two with actual braces, the nearly invisible (and quite more expensive) Invisalign seemed like a good solution. I found Dr. Kouvaris through Unilocal,and since his office is only a couple of miles from my house, I decided to give it a go.
Dr. Kouvaris is great — very knowledgeable, and willing to sit down and really explain what treatment will entail, without talking down to you or using a bunch of technical terms. I felt very comfortable with him. His staff is also great — very friendly and efficient. His assistant ran my insurance information to see what it would cover without me even having to ask.
I’ll come back and update as my treatment progresses, but so far, so good.
