History

Established in 2005.

Starting in 2005, our company’s founders, Mike Andreacchi and Brian Reardon, knew there were customers looking for dependable junk hauling service to clear clutter and unwanted items from homes and businesses. The two long-​time friends founded Junk King™ and established a business in their garage. Since then the company has grown rapidly, but the superior service and attention to detail that made them stand out has remained the same.

Junk King Atlanta is a family owned and operated business since 2011.

Harry Van Buren, your North Georgia neighbor for the past 6 years, followed a distinguished career in operations management for Fortune 500 companies to found the business with his wife of 30 years Shanna, and sons Jimmy, 23 and Jonathon, 25. Jimmy (a former college baseball and basketball player) and Jonathon (a part-​time professional photographer) both enjoy the versatility of the business and working in all aspects of this family operation. «Our goal is to offer you excellent service at a great price, to benefit our community and our environment,» says Harry.

We had a ton of remodeling debris scattered throughout our house… in basement, top of driveway, in carport. Ray and his team texted before to make sure it was ok to arrive early. He got there and quickly gave us a very fair quote. 30minutes later, they had removed everything and insisted on cleaning/​sweeping where it’d all been even though we told them it’d just get dirty again with construction. Would’ve taken us at least 5 trips to the dump in our truck, 3 bagsters, or a gross dumpster in our driveway.
Very fast, friendly, professional service. Would absolutely recommend and use again!

Thrilled with these guys for a service that is usually just a headache. Quoted significantly lower than the other quotes, called and showed early on a Saturday. Quote was honored, and these three guys knocked out a garage full of stuff, plus some extras in the basement, AND a sofa that was upstairs and needed to come down a staircase with a turn. No damage done! About 30 or 40 minutes, boom, they were gone. My project that normally would have taken a whole weekend was done by 8:30 on a Saturday morning. Thanks Junk King!

We had a dead 55″ Projection TV (some 200 pounds). On the third floor of an apartment. I remember hauling it up those stairs and was not relishing the prospect of hauling it DOWN the stairs. And then… what to do with it? Junk King to the rescue!
TVs are normally $ 50, but for this behemoth it was $ 75, which is not unreasonable at all. I scheduled online, but then the guys called a day early to say they would be in the neighborhood! They were courteous, professional, and able to process my credit card payment right there on the spot with High Tech. All told, they were in and out in about 15 minutes.

They were on top of everything from the time I emailed requesting a quote, to changing the time, to their arrival. Every response was quick, and when they had the capacity to come the afternoon before because of their route they called to see if they could come early. We were home so it was perfect. The only remaining thing I’m waiting on is to see how quickly they process the check we wrote. They just did the pickup of a double upper cabinet and four-​door lower with a piece of countertop attached yesterday.
I’m picky about customer service, and notice when employees are simply operating on autopilot, partially on autopilot with some picked good skills, or fully awake. It’s a constant frustration for me when people aren’t «on» and it’s always a pleasure to deal with a business where people are doing exactly what I would if I were them. Very satisfying. Junk King is wonderfully old school that way. They’re also technologically up to date in responses, feedbacks, etc. Thank you!

Great service when selling house and moving. We had 2 weeks to get everything out. They came quickly, gave us a very reasonable price, and that very day took stuff we had no idea how to dispose of. In fact we had a truck full. Prompt, friendly, professional and very helpful!

While going through a move I had a bunch of miscellaneous items that I wasn’t able to either donate or give away. Do you guys know how hard it is to dispose of a mattress?!
I shopped around and called three places for quotes but when I called Junk King not only were they were able to come on the day I needed them to but the lady on the phone gave me an awesome price that was about ½ the price of competitors. I went ahead and scheduled my appointment and received a confirmation email promptly.
**Note: this was the only company I found that didn’t charge a wazoo minimum fee. They only charge for how much space you fill up in the truck!
On the day of my appointment I received a call about 15 minutes ahead of time. When the guys showed up I showed them what all I needed to go and they quoted me about 50 bucks more than my first quote. This was fine because I honestly had more things to purge than I thought I did.
They got to work and all I had to do was open doors and take some photos for this review!
Moving sucks but with Junk King’s help I was able to have a clean slate so I could clean up my rental house and get my deposit back!
I also didn’t have to worry about how to dispose my first mattress, empty camping fuel tanks, pallet, broken-​items-​too-​big-​for-​trash-​can, old loveseat and more!
Highly recommend if you’re in the atlanta area!

I live in Duluth and my 2 year old broke our 55 inch plasma TV and I replaced it with a new better model yea! Problem was, how do I get rid of my old TV! I looked at recycle places, Best Buy, and even my normal trash Hauler (Advanced Disposal that services Gwinnette county) however none of them can take a 55+ inch TV!
TIP! If you need to dispose of your large screen TV you’re going to need Junk Haulers like Junk King unless the store you buy it from offers removal service!
Anyway, I called one company for a quote and they quoted me $ 100.00 (for same day service). I called Junk Kings and they quoted me a «range» (to be determined officially by pickup crew) however the original quoted pickup date was 2 days away! After telling them another company was willing to do same day service the lady on the phone said to «hold on» and checked with her crew to see if they can swing by. They could! 2 hours later two nice gentlemen came by with their Junk King truck and they came and picked up the TV, and even gave me a lower rate than what was quoted! They were done in less than 5 mins. They even helped fix my door that was stuck just because they were cool like that! I’m happy they came by would do business again. Polite Professional. And reasonable pricing!

Junk King was a life saver for me. I was moving to another state and rented a portable storage pod. While the movers were there (in the late afternoon), we discovered all of my items would not fit in the storage pod. I was leaving Atlanta in the morning and had to make arrangements to move my items after I left.
I found Junk King, called them that afternoon. The owner said unfortunately they couldn’t come out that night (which I certainly did not expect them to do), but they could come out the next day to take away the furniture and stuff I had to leave.
I was very appreciative of their being able to help in what was a stressful situation. My real estate agent met them the next day. Junk King sent me before and after pictures showing my home after it was cleaned.
Junk King was really professional and exceeded my expectations.
