We love double decker roll! Service is always really fast and friendly. Good drink specials:

Want to share? That will cost you $ 7.00! Want to sit and not eat? That will cost you $ 7.00 too. The portions are generous but don’t plan on sharing… We were first in; 5:00 pm. I might have given a few more stars, but Blanca turned us off at the greeting! The food was ok. The atmosphere was better than most, but the whole visit was yanked by the waitress. Blanca

Me and my friends decided to give this place a try before heading to the movies right next door. Upon entering me and my party were given about 15−20min wait time to sit at a hibachi grill. The time passed and still was not seated and it looked like the two young girls were having a little trouble accommodating the herd in front of the restaurant. I went up to the hostess and told her we’d be okay sitting in regular dining. We were too hungry to wait any longer. Food(3.5÷5) We ordered bacon scallops, soft shell crab, eda mame, and crab egg roll to start. Mm the starters were just average. I’d drop the crab egg roll if I come back next time. We asked our server for recommendation on rolls and he picked out 5 for us. My @$$hole friend likes to ask question that he knows the answer to see if our server was well informed about the menu and he passed lol. We ordered the omg, sex&city, Tropicana, King spider, Sakura, double decker. I was impressed with the rolls here. They were all delicious!!! If I had to pick I’d say king spider was the best; it was huge and had just the right amount of spicyness to it. The hibachi entrees were a little disappointing though and they put frozen veggie mix in their fried rice(yuck!) Drinks(2⁄5) My girlfriend ordered a Long Island and what we got was a water down version. Our impression wasn’t very good after that so we didn’t order after the first round(we are both drinkers) Service(5⁄5) The only reason I decided to give four stars is because of the service. Keep in mind this place was packed and in the midst of our dinner the herd in front of the restaurant doubled. Our waiter tanner did a fantastic job. Not only he fixed my girlfriend’s drink, recommended us on which rolls to order, but most of all he was fast and kept up with us the entire time to make sure that we make it to our movie. My overall experience is what pretty much everyone said here. The wait time is odd and unusual. The food here is a bit pricier than other Japanese places. If the food was bad no matter what service I get I would be hesitant to come back however the food did not disappoint and the service was on point so it’s worth giving it another go!

This is a consistent place to go to locally that offers good sushi, hibachi at reasonable prices. Is it the best sushi in Cumming/Alpharetta I wouldn’t go that far and parking is a bit of a challenge. If you’re looking for a bit prior to a movie in the collection, then yes I would go here. If looking for the best sushi in the area, hands down Akina off windward, if looking for best sushi in Atlanta hands down UMI or Tomo. For the price and convenience in Cumming, can’t beat ichiban, just don’t think you will have a foodie experience. Service is pretty good too. Drinks very lacking

Sushi is always great here. They always use good quality ingredients and always try to accommodate to our needs. The weekends especially Friday is busy and can get loud but they always try to do the best they can to appease the clients. This restaurant is not as good as umi or any buckhead sushi places but in a few years I can see this place becoming one of those high quality sushi restaurants.

Very disappointed in our visit. While the food was decent(not outstanding), the service was horrible. We never received our drink refills, even though we asked. We almost felt sympathy for our waiter since he was the only one covering the entire restaurant, which was full. This was our first – and our last – visit here.

Yum yum, what a lovely sushi place. I came in to sit at the bar since I was alone. Why take up a table at a busy restaurant when you’re by yourself? It was a Thursday evening around 7:45. The place was fairly busy, everyone seemed to be having a great time. The hostess greeted me with a smile and showed me to the bar. I loved the menu layout, easy to navigate. I ordered calamari. You can always tell a place by their calamari. The calamari was crispy and came with a sweet and spicy black and white sauce. Interesting yet delicious. I ordered the Hawaiian Roll and the Sex and the City Roll. They both tasted great– fresh and tender. The service was decent, nothing exceptional. I ordered food, it came out on time. The server didn’t show much personality and didn’t suggest anything. I would come back for the quality of the food.

What what do I hear… metal chairs scraping across concrete flooring with no ceiling tiles? Need I say more? Ok, complete chaos on an early Fri evening. No one at the door nor wait staff and the place was packed. Won’t go back. Besides, the best ginger dressing is at Akina on Windward, but jury still out on them.

I had dinner with two friends on a Saturday night. We arrived around 5:30, they open at 5, and we were seated quickly. I ordered the fried rice and the Pokemon roll. My two friends ordered the special roll and we were all satisfied. I did notice that it got busier the later it got. They had a lot of people waiting at the door. The staff was nice and attentive, our drinks stayed full and we had a nice experience.

I came here for the first time this week and was extremely impressed by the staff, service, cleanliness and quality of the food. We got the shrimp/scallop hibachi, steak/salmon hibachi and spicy tuna roll. They’re under new management and it seems a lot has improved based on my experience compared to prior reviews. The food was delicious!!! I highly recommend this place!

Unfortunately, since Jason the sushi chef left, the sushi has been unimaginative and the fish not as fresh. What a shame. We now get our local sushi from Sho Asian, which has fresher fish.

I went here for my birthday. It was a great experience. There weren’t many customers in at the time but it was a early weekday. The Hibachi chef was entertaining and executed on all his tricks. I had the scallops and shrimp it was all cooked to perfection and very tasty. The miso soup was delicious and the salad was fresh with the sesame dressing I love so much. This was one of the better Hibachi dining experiences I have had(almost made me forget the terrible Benihana experience) The free desert and happy birthday serenade made my birthday!

I’ve only eaten here twice, both times for business meals, and both times I was underwhelmed by the food. The sushi was mediocre, with dry, hard, and flavorless rice, and so-so fish. The hibachi was fine, although it’s hard to mess up. The hibachi chef was not much of a showman, though, which is as much a part of the American hibachi experience as the food. There is definitely better Japanese food in the area, both for sushi and hibachi.

I have been to many Hibachi style restaurants and this one is by far the worst. There ginger dressing on the salad has a terrible last to it and they do not offer any other dressing choice for those who do not like the ginger dressing. The clear soup lacks flavor. The amount of food that you get is about half that of any other hibachi restaurants I have been to. I usually eat half of what I am served and take the other half home and I had a few pieces of meat left at the end, that is all. Also, they will not seat you unless your whole party is there we had a party of 5, 2 were stuck in traffic and we had to wait for them to be seated. Also, most places charge 1.50 or so for fried rice instead of steamed rice, this place charges 2.99 for about a quarter cup of fried rice. SUCH A RIPOFF!!! I will stick to Kani House from now on when I am in the area!!!

My fiancé and I went here for lunch on Monday. I work by The Avenue and never even knew this place existed, but I am SOGLAD we found it! We’re huge fans of sushi, so we’re always looking for a good place to go and this was a definite win. I had the miso soup to start with and it was perfect. We ordered several different sushi rolls. A Crunchy roll with shrimp, a California roll and… something else that I can’t remember. It was all wonderful. Their rolls come with 8 pieces each, which is a lot compared to our usual places, so we couldn’t finish everything. We probably could’ve stuck with 2 rolls and been fine. Our total was about $ 35, without tip, which I thought was a steal for the amount of food we received. I did notice that their lunch menu is significantly cheaper than their dinner menu though, so we’ll probably just stick to having lunch here. As far as service goes, our server was very friendly and the food came out quickly and it was very fresh. We were in and out in 45 minutes, which is perfect for a lunch break. We will definitely be back for lunch in the near future!

This place is a sushi staple. This Ichiban is good but not as good as the one on Windward parkway. It takes a long time to get seated, even if its not busy. I dont eat hibachi so I sit in the«dining room». I have been there numerous times in the past and it always seeems to be the same. The fish quality while should be the same is again sub par to what I get at the Windward restaurant. Its not that different but I can tell a difference.

One of the WORST sushi places ever! I dined here on a Saturday night with a gf sometime last year and of course it was super busy. It took awhile to get seated and once seated, it took even longer to get service. After sitting for about 15 minutes with no one even acknowledging us, I ended up having to stand up to go find a waitress to take our order. I should’ve just left right then and there but I was hungry and craving sushi. 45 minutes later, our food finally comes out. Not only did it take forever for our food to come, but they also managed to mess up my order! I didn’t even bother sending the rolls back because it would’ve probably taken another hour before I got my food. The rolls were disgusting and poorly made. One of the rolls we had was literally drowned in mayonnaise. They might’ve as well just given me a bottle of mayonnaise to eat. Stay away from this place! The sushi is disgusting and over priced and the service is absolutely HORRENDOUS!
