If you are looking for a trustworthy storage facility to store things you may want to look elsewhere.
They have a big truck out front that says you can use it for free to move in with when you rent a unit. When it came time to move in we were told that we couldn’t use the truck because the brakes weren’t working.
Being able to use the free truck was one of the main reasons that we rented from cube smart. We had to go to another storage facility down the street to rent a truck and cube smart offered no discount or option at all.
Then the unit was advertised at a certain price then after completing the paperwork we were informed that the price was $ 20 more than we were originally quoted for an insurance policy that you must pay for regardless if you want it or need it.
We were also overcharged for a late fee which an entire month of rental was added to on top of the fee. It wasn’t until we caught the error and called to correct the issue. If we didn’t notice the mistake we would have just pissed away an extra $ 100.
On a positive note the employees are friendly and helpful and I am sure that they are just following the cube smart policy and its these cube smart policies that will send me in the other direction when needing a storage unit in the future.
