I’ve been a fan of Val Hall since I was little and it will always have a special place in my heart. My father was raised on this golf course and so was I. It’s always great coming back here no matter how long it’s been.
The staff is always friendly and Rachel’s On the Green serves deliciously strong drinks and great food. The service is wonderful as well.
The course is fun and in good condition. It’s a good time to birdie the 10th hole and beat your dad! You can keep score on the carts and they are very high tech.
Watch out for the 9th hole, gets me every time!

Excellent semi private course. Banquet center and bar. Well maintained greens. Taking away a star because golfers use Hedgerow Drive as a thoroughfare to make their tee time and the GC management doesn’t discourage it.

If you’re a Maine resident, this place is great. The lay-​out can be broken down like this — Front 9: Tight, challenging; Back 9: More open, more pins to go after, easier scoring.
For the money, a great play and worth checking out. Didn’t make it in after for a beer so can’t speak to the 19th hole facilities.
