T’s California BBQ Catering

Really great service and really great food. My neighbors were drooling over the wonderful aromas emanating from my yard, and all the guests at our backyard graduation party loved the food. Troy and staff were really great; everything went smoothly. They were graciously flexible when my fashionably late guests pushed the time back a bit. I highly recommend the premium Wagyu beef — superb! The marinated chicken (fennel) was very tasty, too. Definitely what I was hoping for, and would definitely use again.

Awesome Food!!! T’s catered our one year anniversary party and everyone loved them! They showed up early and came very prepared. We have a back parking lot where they set up a tent, bbq, and seating area, then began cooking.
We had about 100 people and there was an endless supply of bbq’d tacos, and margaritas.
Definitely looking forward to having them at our business again!

The only thing that softened the blow of the 49ers losing to Baltimore was the wonderful job done by Troy and his staff and his lovely wife Marlena. We had tri tip, chicken, salad, garlic bread, etc. etc etc. All grilled (not the salad) over red oak in our driveway. Prior to serving up the main courses we were served chips, guacamole, salsa and several other wonderful appetizers. The amazing thing is that I reserved Troy and crew in November for a group of 25 people but offered to let him out if he got a better offer. Troy said he operated on a basis of first come first served and by God he did it.

Troy and Marlena and their whole team were absolutely outstanding! We hired T’s California BBQ (or Bomba Paella Catering) to cater my 30^th birthday party of 50 people last night. They were truly exceptional in every way.
The party started with passed apps (tapas), which were so delicious. We had bacon-​wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese, prosciutto wrapped melon, potato croquetas, grougeres stuffed with arugula bacon and pickled onions, and some toasted bread topped with goat cheese and bell pepper/​sun-​dried tomato spread. They actually brought out more than what was in the original contract, which my husband and I noticed and really appreciated.
We then had paella cooked in this HUGE 4-​foot pan. The paella had chicken, chorizo, vegetables and shrimp. The shrimp and chorizo were perfectly cooked. The flavor of the paella was superb. Some of our guests who don’t normally eat shrimp said they LOVED the shrimp. To accompany the paella, we had a salad of romaine lettuce with avocado and lime dressing as well as grilled baguettes with olive oil. The paella part was almost like a show and all our guests were so impressed with the presentation. Everyone was talking about how unique an idea serving paella was. We served sangria and spanish wines to accompany the food. Everyone left extremely satisfied and talking about how they want to hire Troy to do a paella party at their house!
Troy and his whole team showed up almost 4 hours before our guests (carmageddon II was yesterday so I think they just wanted to make sure they got here without any problem), which really put me at ease. They were so professional and on top of everything. This was one of the first parties my husband and I have thrown at our house, so we were extremely nervous about how everything was going to turn out, especially since we didn’t know anyone who had used them before. Troy was so patient with us in the planning process — we probably called and e-​mailed him a dozen times with a million questions! We basically stumbled across this company on Unilocal,so we wanted to really take the time to write a good review for them since they really went above and beyond what we expected.
Thanks Troy for making my 30^th birthday the most memorable birthday yet! I can’t wait to have another occasion to hire you!

They did a great job! The food was terrrific. Everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. The staff was professional and friendly. They did It all! I would hire them again for any party.

T’s california bbq rocks, Troy is the master at the grill, his food is amazing, He has a standard that is above others in the business. Excellent experience with troy and will use him again for any parties and functions we have going on.

Where do I begin? Got married last weekend, and Troy and Marlena catered our wedding reception. The food was amazing! Everyone was raving and continues to talk about the food. They use only the freshest, organic ingredients. The tri tip and chicken had this most wonderful smokey flavor, and so tender! The «wedge» salad contained the highest quality bleu cheese and smoked bacon. The panzanella salad
was not only delicious but beautiful! And the glorified mac & cheese was just the right addition to the meal. Yummy!!! And all this was cooked on site in the most unobtrusive way. Troy and Marlena were flawless, as were their staff. I am so grateful they made the trek deep into Orange County. Without any reservation I can recommend them to anyone who is looking for fresh, delicious, gorgeous food prepared for and served by this great couple. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I want to thank Troy and Marlena of T’s California BBQ (aka Bomba Paella Catering) for catering our wedding in June. We wanted something different /​unique for our reception and decided on Paella and Troy and Marlena definitely delivered above and beyond; they were able to accomodate 150 of our guests that are vegans, pescetarians, and carnivores. The paella pans were quickly emptied which bummed out some of the guests that went for seconds or even thirds. It was definitely one of the highlights of the reception and our friends are still raving about it.

If you’re considering hiring a paella caterer, then definitely consider T’s California BBQ. Not only do Troy and Marlena make a kickass paella, they are really nice and personable people. Don’t just take our words for it. Talk to them and do a tasting and you’ll see what we mean.

Troy has done it again!!! I got a sampling of his latest creation. PAELLA!!! Cooked on an open fire on a gigantic pan… I shed tears of amazement upon seeing. The Paella was moist and delicious and packed with chorizo slices (not the mushy ground chorizo you are thinking. think sausagey salami esque!) and tender chicken morsels mixed in. My boyfriend filled his plate 3 times and even though I was full I could not stop eating.
It gets better. Since its squash blossom season, i stuffed those babies with leftover paella and pepper-​jack for an out this world experience. If you like BBQ, I reccomend getting Troy to cater your next event. You wont be disappointed.

I wanted to make sure to give Troy and his people a great review, because the food they provided at our wedding last week was fantastic. Absolutely top-​notch. Everybody raved about it – especially the tri-​tip and the garlic bread. My favorite was the corn panzanella salad. We had it served family-​style – highly recommended for this type of food if you’re using it for a wedding, incidentally. Thank you so much T’s for the incredible food and for helping to make our wedding a success!

Over the final three months of the year, my company gets really, really busy in the Holiday rush. As a bonus we’re often treated to special catered lunches, and the best one — by a land slide — was T’s. Since I live pretty far east but work near Century City, I don’t make it to that side of town on the weekends often but will make a special trek to the FM so my hubby can try the tri-​tip.
I was really impressed with the set-​up as well — a beautiful display of dishes from slaws, salsas, GRILLED GARLIC BREAD (nice that I don’t have to drive all the way to the Hitching Post for such deliciousness) and even chicken — seasoned with garlic and fennel. Everything was prepared and grilled right on the spot. The staff members were professional and organized. What i love too is that even the beans and sides were taken seriously — man, good beans MAKE a good plate of BBQ.
Really enjoyed our special lunch and hoping it’s a regular for us!

By far the best Santa Maria BBQ I have ever had. I get my BBQ fix every Saturday at the Fox Hills Farmer’s Market. Every menu item is to DIE for. They use fresh ingredients and organic meats. I can’t wait to use them for my next catering event.

I LOVE barbeque! There are very few places in Los Angeles that you can get truly delicious, juicy, flavorful barbeque. The layered spices and taste of true down home barbeque can be a tricky dance… but T’s has that country two-​step down.
Bring it on! OH and the tri-​tip is KILLER. Go often and bring a big appetite, you will not be disappointed.

T’s BBQ is amazing. This man knows how to grill. The tri tip is so delicious that I gave Troy a standing offer to buy any left overs!
The bonus? Troy’s use of quality Niman ranch meats that are raised in a sustainable manner. It takes dedication is to prepare and serve delicious food that supports the planet.

Went to Foxhills mall expecting to get some great BBQ. Greatly disappointed. The BBQ was okay, not the best… but certainly not the worse. Coleslaw was terrible. Way too dry. Baked beans were not bad, but then again how hard is it to mess up baked beans. For the price, I expected better. But if you are just looking for BBQ to get you by, it may fit your needs.
