I went in expecting yet another stomach ulcer and I’m shocked to say my experience at TWC was…
Dare I say…
Excellent?
Ample parking, low customer volume lobby and fast service.
I was shocked!
Let’s be honest: TWC has been horrible. Just the worst. But this experience was different than my previous terrible 72 experiences with them.
Sure there were the obligatory smattering of despondent customers crying or screaming (or both) but not as many as I usual. It used to look like the set of The Walking Dead but maybe the plague has passed?
Thank you for not causing a stomach ulcer today, TWC!

I stopped by TWC to switch remotes, and much to my dismay and everyone else’s, they now have a computerized screen you must use to sign in.
Initially I wasn’t sure what to do because I was looking for the old school red ticket box. So, I asked this couple sitting down if they had to take a ticket or anything. They informed me that I had to sign in at the computer station. Only then did I understand why there was a cluster of seniors huddled together at the entrance, they were trying to figure out what the heck to do with that thing!
I find this new system to be very exclusionary, not to mention extremely annoying. It’s not fair that people who are not tech savvy (like those seniors, though NOT all seniors) are now forced to sign in using a computer as opposed to just pulling a ticket. Even the man behind me said «What the hell is this! What happened to just taking a ticket!» Then he started preaching about the devil and technology. When he saw me snap a picture of the computer he said, «go head girl, tell your friends how stupid this thing is.» I was totally feeling his frustration.
When it was finally my turn to check in, the screen was moving really slow, it kept freezing. I thought, now what would it be like if there were a dozen people standing here waiting to check in?
TWC in general sucks. They are ridiculously over priced, and we are constantly having problems with our service. Constant «neighborhood outages» that often leave us without any cable access for days at a time, not to mention always having to «reboot» the Internet modem.
I’m seriously about ready to ditch cable all together and subscribe to Netflix and whatever else I can watch online. The prices TWC charges represent capitalism at its absolute most disgusting worst! Thumbs down!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I wish I read these reviews prior to signing up for service.
I had an appointment for Internet service to be installed today.
Received confirmation emails and texts confirming my installation.
No one showed up.
I called to see what’s going on, and I was routed to TIME WARNER. Why, I don’t know.
They said my appointment was cancelled. I didn’t cancel it. They then said it was in the notes that the reason was because there was service at my address before that has a balance.
Ok so what does that have to do with me? Why wasn’t I contacted about a issue? I still received confirmation emails and texts confirming they would show up today but yet they still went ahead and cancelled without notifying me. I am so upset because my time was wasted and I was inconvenienced by waiting for no one to come today, and for the hour long phone call to just be told «I’m sorry ma’am you need to call time warner on Monday»!
First of all, I’m purchasing service through EarthLink! You need to help or fix this issue! They didn’t even try!
I am telling the world via social media, word of mouth, and every way I can to avoid this company’s services. TIME WARNER gives zero customer service.

Second residential appointment. I’d like to leave extremely positive feedback like the first visit from Ismael. David, the TWC tech, must’ve spent two and a half hours trying to strengthen my signals and figure out why I’m paying for 200 mbps and barely getting 100 when wired. He didn’t waste a moment of the lengthy appointment. He replaced some bad wires, correcting the settings on both our tvs, replaced a bad HDMI cable, exc. This didn’t fix the internet problem but boosted and enhanced our tv watching experience and removed the cracking on the phone. He also elevated the problem and I will soon be contacted for a third appointment. Thank you, David!

The internet service is great. I’ve never had any problems or issues and the Maintenance person came out and installed everything correctly. Great internet service for some other say they may of had trouble or experienced slow internet I’ve never had any kind of issues and like time Warner cable. Always used its service for everything. I usually wouldn’t write a review for a Time Warner store, but the 2-​star average had to be addressed. First, as I’ve read through some of these reviews, it seems that a lot of people are upset about their experience, not because of the store, but because of Time Warner and their stupid policies. To me, that’s like giving a McDonalds a bad review if you don’t like the Big Mac. You shouldn’t give a specific location a bad review if you have a problem with the general company. But that’s just my opinion.
Let’s start with the basic premise that Time Warner is a horrible company that takes advantage of its near-​Monopoly status by providing substandard products and services. They also seem to have a deep-​seated distrust of their own employees because they give each department very limited access to its internal systems, necessitating us to jump between 5 and 10 different employees before having a standard issue addressed, let alone resolved.
With that out of the way, let’s talk about this particular location. First, it has a huge and free parking lot. In LA, that gets you an extra star automatically. Second, the store is clean and large and doesn’t feel like you’re at an abandoned bus-​stop, which is already a big step up from other Time Warner locations. Third, I was greeted immediately upon entering by a friendly employee, who honestly attempted to help me. Any hiccups with the service was clearly due to the policies discussed above, not from the employee’s willingness to help.
So yes, there were some issues, but not because of this location or the people who work here. Hence, the 2-​star average is a bit harsh.

After loathing this company for literally decades… somehow they’ve turned things around. Technicians get here on time. Phone calls to fix stuff take less than 10 minutes. Service interruptions are FAR less frequent. Internet speeds have jumped TEN FOLD.
This was always the example of the company I thought was probably the worst at providing a service I had no choice but to pay for. My building doesn’t allow DirecTV or Dish, and so I was stuck.
Now I… don’t think I’d switch?
I’m still knocking off a star for prices and for years of mistreatment, but I don’t want to gouge my own eyes out every time I see I’ve sent them another monthly payment. That’s really saying something.

I came here to close out my mother’s account. Been throwing away $ 170+ every month. This office is located close to my mother’s house. The parking lot is usually packed because of the employees and nearby residents that park in the lot. Over dozen spots are designated for Time Warner Cable (TWC) customers and the handicap.
They used to have a pull a number system but have since updated to a touch screen check-​in. The touch screen pretty much sucks. Slow and non-​respondent. I lucky one of the TWC employees saw I was getting frustrated and asked if he could help me.
I paid the $ 5.93 prorated bill and he scanned the check and cable boxes. It was pretty quick and painless minus the lame touch screen check-​in. I dreaded coming here for almost a year and wish I did (could’ve saved $).

Time Warner Cable. I personally would not do business with them again and am recommending that my friends and family to go with another internet provider.
In February 2016, I closed my account and paid off the balance. 3 weeks later, I receive a NEW bill from TWC. I contacted them and was told that a note was made on the account to cancel service but that it was not completed??? In the end, TWC fixed their error, adjusted the cancellation date and told me to pay for the equipment that I kept. Problem was, I returned it to their store previously and had my receipt as proof. At that, I was told, «Oh, I do see in our system that we received the equipment and you will receive a check for the credit balance on the account».
Well, here we are (about 3 weeks later) and today I receive a collection letter from IC Systems!!! And guess what? It’s for an equipment balance due of $ 77!!! Oh, but TWC was gracious enough to deduct $ 45.94 from the amount bringing it down to $ 31.06. As if that wasn’t insulting enough, I immediately contacted TWC and the CSR informs me that my credit had been processed and that I should receive my check any day now. I informed the CSR who told me to «please disregard that notice» (collection letter). Really? That would be awesome; however the date of the notice is 3÷23÷16 and this issue was supposed to be resolved back in February so I seriously doubt that this is a case of this letter «crossing paths» with my credit check in the mail.
TWC’s slogan is «Enjoy Better» and now I know what they really meant, «Enjoy Better» (Elsewhere).

If Time Warner Cable were a person I would take a contract out on them. An expensive one. Not just to punch their ticket. No. I would want to make a point with Time Warner Cable.

Called for an appointment for service today. They screwed it up for tomorrow. And won’t admit it. So much for their rebranding of customer service! This is to check why my DVR cannot record now. Reception was going in and out last night. Makes me rethink of wanting to keep cable TV.

I came into the Culver City location to exchange some equipment at about 5pm and was the 4^th person in line. It took about 10 minutes for my name to be called and was out the door in 20. Location was clean, my representative was informative and polite and I had a great experience. I also wanted to highlight that Temeka was a pleasure to work with.

Not sure why this location got bad reviews. I had an excellent experience as a new client. I signed up for cable for my apartment and it was pre-​wired. I had to go to this location to pick up my equipment. My experience was great, didn’t wait long (compared to Van Nuys location). Got my equipment and everything went smooth.
Great customer service, no long lines and speedy service.

I just had the worst experience trying to install Time Warner Cable at our house. I want to take advantage of their faster internet speed as well as have access to Pac 12 Football games that I cannot get through Direct TV. They had a package that seemed like a pretty good deal. I am using TWC at our office and it works out pretty well. The problem that I had was with the installation. The first person that came out actually showed up on time. He looked around and found that the install at the house would be pretty easy. The problem was that the line coming from the outside box to the house needed to be changed before he could do his work. So we rescheduled to have both the outside work done as well as the in house work done on the same appointment. That was yesterday. In addition, he accidentally disconnected our land line which has not worked since his visit a few weeks ago. I let that go as we have our cell phones anyway. It is still not working. Another installer shows up yesterday alone and knew nothing about the outside line problem. I had been assured that both issues would be taken care of at the same time. He was a nice enough guy and understood why the phone had been accidentally disconnected… but did not do anything about it. He said that he could not do anything about the install as the outside line had to be taken care of first… duh…and someone would get back to me to fix both the outside install and the in house install on that day. Meanwhile, I had taken the day off to take care of this stuff. I called a few times to their call center in the Philippines and talked to nice people who tried to help me but after waiting another two hours for someone to come back that day and fix the problem I called again and was told that they could NOT come out on that day and I had to wait about ten days to have the install done in the house while in the meantime someone would come and fix the out of house issues.
This is a joke! If I ran my business this way I would be simply out of business. I have to stay with TWC as I need the increased internet speed… they are the fastest in our area. It is really a shame that the coordination of the installation is such a haphazard process. If you don’t need Pac 12 football and you don’t need the faster internet speed or you have another choice for a provider do not use TWC.

Time Warner is a bunch of criminals. I’ve been waiting over 2 months for a refund check that for some reason never gets mailed to me. Everytime I call them about it, they want me to wait longer, and wait longer, and wait even longer for the check to come in. They refuse to issue refunds via credit card, which is how I paid them originally.
Basically I think they want me to forget about it, and that way the’ll get to keep my $ 100. F that! I will call and harass those m f ers everyday until my money is back where it belongs. I wish I could charge them a late fee and cut off their internet until they pay me.

In general I hate TWC. Internet goes in & out all the time, as does the cable. I had DirectTV before I moved in with my husband and I count the days I can get it back. SO for TWC in general they get ONE STAR.
But this review is about my experience having to visit this TWC location. My remotes stopped working. Sounds simple but it was a nightmare! I called TWC which I dreaded. They told me for $ 9.99 they can mail me a new remote .or I can go the location & pick one up for free. As soon as I walked in and saw the long line, I immediately thought my time is more valuable than $ 10, I should have just had them mail me one. I took number 68. They were on number 50. Queue flashbacks of being at the DMV. I sat down in the front row, remote in hand. 30 minutes later, the rep directly in front of me no more than 5 feet away calls my number. I tell her I need a new remote. She says with a smile, «Oh honey you didn’t have to wait for that. I would’ve just given it to you if you came up to my counter.»
No further comment.

I wish I could give TW internet negative numbers. YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY DID!!!
My internet came to a grinding halt. I unplugged and plugged back in the TW modem and my wireless router. All the lights came up on the TW modem, but my wireless router kept showing red lights. I figured my wireless router was bad and considered getting a new one so I’d have internet tonight.
But just in case… I decided to look at the TW website, and sure enough Los Angeles showed as a big red splotch in the outage map. I decided to call TW… and I was told they strangled my service on purpose. ON PURPOSE. Because I didn’t pay my bill? No, because TW WANTS TO SEND ME A NEW, IMPROVED MODEM. So what they do is cut off your service so you’ll call in, give you the spectacularly wonderful news that you’re getting a new modem, then turn your service back on.

What moron at TW thought this was a good idea??? I HATE AT&T, but I may have to think about going back to them. These people are the stupidiest, vilest people on the Earth.

This review is mostly about the customer service at this time warner store location. I stopped by on a Thursday morning and was immediately greeted. No line or ticket needed. I returned my equipment and was in and out of there in 10 minutes. I completely agree that their prices are insanely high compared to other companies and they don’t provide promotional deals and extension of these deals like other cable and internet companies. At least this in store visit was painless.
Tip: try to visit on a weekday during the morning hours. I think it gets more busy in the afternoon especially after people get off work.

Time Warner is the worst. As a company they get zero stars. Their products are horrible, customer service is the worst ever, and way overpriced for crappy service. But visiting this location wasn’t nearly as painful as I thought it would be.
We were canceling our cable so I brought our boxes and remotes here to drop them off and break up once and for all. I was surprised to find that there was no line and I was helped right away. I returned the equipment and they processed the cancellation of my cable services. I still need them for internet, unfortunately (but how else would I write this?!), but at least I’m not longer paying a boatload of money each month for their crappy TV products.
Of course they sent us about a half dozen completely unnecessary paper mailings confirming our changes and all of that, but I wouldn’t expect anything less. If I have to go back again to get rid of even more of their junk, this is the location I’d pick.

I know all cable companies are bad, but is Time Warner the worst?
Just moved back to LA and called TW to set up my system. From the very first day I had problems. I got Signature Home (phone, cable, internet) because you get better service that way, with a separate number to call for repairs.
Well, I’ve been callin’ that number on a regular basis! For one month my Outlook has not worked. I get messages but can’t reply or send anything. There are messages stuck in my outbox that won’t go through. i’m having to go through the internet web mail and some of the convenient Outlook functions are therefore not available.
Then I had them come out to add a TV in my office. The guy got it to work and left. When I booted up the next morning, the TV didn’t work and the screen said to call customer service no matter what channel I tried.
Then wasted 1 ½ hrs. of my Sunday morning with the (very nice) TW rep. She took me through all the steps and could not fix the Outlook problem and referred me to Microsoft support.
After trying everything in her toy bag, she finally got the TV working. Honestly, why do we have to go through all of this when these telecom companies have been in business for decades??? Why do they charge all this money ($ 250/​month for me) and then the products don’t work right.
Frustrated! AAAAaaaaarrrgh. All the Telecom Revolution did was line the pockets of the executives. And we still have no cable choice. They assign one company to an area and that’s all you get unless you want AT&T or wireless.
This is not proper functioning of the capitalist system.
