History

Established in 1994.

In 1994, a visionary group of parents created an independent, progressive, innovative school with strong academic roots that instilled character and compassion, and inspired intellectual fearlessness and flexibility. In 1998, The Willows expanded with the opening of the middle school; in 2003 the world-class gymnasium was added, and in 2012 and 2013 the first phases of The Willows Master Plan began with the construction of dedicated sports courts and a flexible outdoor space. Now, as The Willows celebrates its 20th Anniversary, its newly renovated and enhanced campus is a vibrant 21st century environment where great minds grow. Our new learning spaces offer students even more opportunities for problem-solving, critical thinking, design and collaboration. In 20 years, the school’s student body has increased from 106 to 445 students, and The Willows has achieved a reputation as one of the finest educational institutions in Los Angeles.
