The Actors Circle provides film and television acting workshops for actors of all ages. Our youngest student is 4 and our oldest is 82. Alumni and current students are starring in Films and on series televison. Our alumni have also won Oscar’s, Emmy’s, Tony’s and this year alone we had two Golden Globe nominees

History

Established in 1983.

The Actors Circle was originally known as Center Stage LA. It was originally started as a training ground for young actors who were already in the business. But through the years as those actors grew into adulthood curriculum was expanded to include adult classes and classes for those new to the industry as well as working actors. Actors Circle actors work because they are known to make strong bold choices and to be memorable So many from thos early years are big stars now, and the stars continue to some to The Actors Circle

Meet the Business Owner

Marcie S.

Business Owner

Marcie Smolin is a Coach and the Director and a founding member of The Actors Circle, LLC. She began her acting career as a child actor. Marcie has been a series regular on two TV series as well as guest starring in numerous television shows. In addition to acting Marcie was a stand-​up comic for 13 years appearing on numerous stand-​up shows including An Evening at the Improv, Girls Night Out, Later NBC as well as a primetime NBC comedy Special. She toured the country for many years appearing regularly in Vegas. Marcie has also appeared in more television commercials than she cares to count.

She received her Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts and her Masters Degree in screenwriting. Marcie has been coaching both children and adults for over 17 years. After leaving for several years to work as a performer, Marcie returned to coaching 11 years ago. Many of her current and past students are appearing as series regulars and in feature films.
