Star Urmston Acupuncture

I’ve wanted to try acupuncture for years. After seeing a few, I was bit disappointed because I didn’t feel the incredible benefits I’ve heard/​read so much about.
Finally, a friend recommended Star and it was life changing. She’s so in tuned with knowing what your body needs. She also has a background in massage therapy which she combines with her treatments. Unlike others acupuncturists who only spend a few minutes with you, Star takes her time to understand your issues and comes with a holistic approach to address the root problem. After seeing Star for a month now, I will continue to see her regularly to help keep my body in balance.

I don’t even know how to explain how amazing Star Acupuncture is. Star is incredibly talented and has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I’ve ever met. She is patient, kind, brilliant and can achieve miracles with her acupuncture skills!
Even though I don’t live in LA anymore, i try to fit in an appointment every time I’m in town. I also tell everyone I know about how great this place is and how beneficial Star’s services have been for me.
If you haven’t tried acupuncture, try it. If you have tried it, you should know that Star Acupuncture is a game changer. This place is fabulous!

My husband was diagnosed with severe case of frozen shoulders by two different physical therapists and an orthopedic surgeon. After months of standard physical therapy, painkillers, muscle relaxants, lots of wine, even more pain, and no improvement whatsoever we were desperate. Our neighbor mentioned Star, a friendly therapist from Culver City that helped him many years ago and he was still benefitting from her treatments. We went, but at that point without much hope. After that first session my husband finally slept for longer than an hour, within a few sessions he was able to manage the pain, sleep through the night and, most importantly, see an improvement and slowly getting back his range of movement. 3 years later, Star is our go-​to person for any discomforts. We see her weekly to keep up with strengthening exercises, relaxation techniques, colds and aches, and general soul healing. She is a wonderful person — compassionate, and smart — she always listens and helps. I was reluctant to try acupuncture (needles!!!) for various reasons, but after witnessing what she did for my husband I decided to try for myself and I haven’t been sorry. Star prevented my husband from getting painful surgery that was not promised to alleviate the situation and she improved our quality of life through her hands-​on therapy, relaxation techniques and exercises. Although she offers house calls, we have opted for sessions in her cozy private studio (easy street parking).
