My Favorite Pet Sitter

The team of Chris and Ronnie are absolutely amazing — I honestly can’t say enough positive things about them. I was referred to them 5 years ago and the only time I didn’t use them was when they were on one of their very brief vacations, which was EXTREMELY rare. However, they provide you with a list of their anticipated days off at the beginning of the year, so there are no surprises, and they make sure to provide referrals to reliable, vetted dog walkers who could care for your dog or cat in these instances. They care for your dog or cat as though he or she is one of their own. I swear that my dog was disappointed when I returned from my vacation since it meant she’d no longer get to hang out with Chris and Ronnie and the other dogs in the group with which my dog would be walked. They provide a report for each visit, and post pictures of your dog during the lengthy walk on which they’re taken.
I had to let my beloved dog go by putting her down a few weeks ago, and Chris and Ronnie immediately acknowledged my significant loss and have continued to be supportive. They even took steps to honor her memory. They, too, become attached to your dog (in a healthy and professional way) and feel the loss as well.
If you live in the area which they cover, you’d be doing yourself and your dog or cat a huge disservice by not using them.

I am so happy with the pet sitting services from Chris. He is very reliable, flexible with the schedule and takes the best care of my dog. When my dog had to have surgery last minute, Chris made time in his schedule to fit in extra visits to spend time with my dog. Chris provides reports and even photos to let you know your dog is doing well when you are not at home. I trust Chris 100% with my dogs and strongly recommend using his pet sitting services.

I have four very punchy cats, and Chris takes it all in stride. I’ve had pet sitters who left the brood anxious and hiding by the time I returned from a trip, but now they’re perfectly content. I’m grateful for the immediate reports and reasonable prices, and I love that Chris wants to be alerted as soon as I’m home so that he doesn’t have to worry. Knowing that he actually cares makes leaving everything in his hands so much easier.

Chris and Ronnie are great. They are on-​time, reliable and I love the photos that they send me of my dog.

In short, Ronnie has been a Godsend! I adopted a very fearful, un-​socialized dog in November 2014 and hired Ronnie and Chris to take him for daily walks while my husband and I were at work. The improvement in my dog’s attitude and emotional well-​being since Ronnie has worked with him has been nothing less than miraculous! Ronnie is very sensitive to Austin’s needs, introducing him gradually to new experiences, new dogs, new sights and sounds. With Ronnie’s help Austin is being transformed into a happy, confident little boy. And I know Ronnie is just as excited to see his transformation as I am. It’s also great fun to see the daily photos he takes and posts on Facebook. It’s my favorite time of day when I open up My Favorite Pet Sitter’s Facebook page to see my boy smiling and happily spending time with his new friends! Recently I had Ronnie stay at my house while my husband and I were away on vacation. I knew my pets were in the best hands possible with him there, but when we returned we were thrilled to see that Austin had blossomed even more with all the personal one-​on-​one attention Ronnie gave him. Ronnie, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Ronnie has been looking after my fluffy one (see profile pix) for years now and I am continuously impressed by how well he handles my anti-​social dog as well as communicating with me. He used to leave a paper report to recap the walk but now that report is sent electronically so I can have a peace of mind at work and I have a photo a day to see who my dog walked with and where he went! In addition, Ronnie takes the dogs to really fun places if you give permission. I am so grateful that I found someone as reliable and as creative as Ronnie to take care of my dog. 5 stars all the way for My Favorite Pet Sitter!

Just got back from 6 day trip, and found my 3 dogs, happily resting at home. I’m glad to have found Chris, my favorite pet sitter, on Unilocal!
Every time my three dogs were fed and walked I received a report and photo from Chris about the event. I felt completely assured that my dogs were being taken care of, as though I were there. I would highly recommend Chris’s service and will use his services again in the future, absolutely, without a doubt.

Ronnie and Chris continue to look after our doggies whenever we have short absences (if we’re on longer trips I prefer to board them so they don’t get too lonely). They’re super communicative and they capture the greatest pics of them to send us/​post on their page. So nice to have them around whenever we can’t be there!

I have been using My Favorite Pet Sitter services since February of 2014 and really am so thankful for Chris. I have a 7 year old high energy yellow lab and he normally comes 2 – 3 times a week. He takes photos to send to me, communicates immediately, is responsive, flexible, and trustworthy. He sometimes even walks my Lucy with her boyfriend Max. I can tell is a great dog walker and lover and would recommend his services to others.

I’ve used Chris and Ronnie for years. Aside from being 100% reliable, which they are, they are so full of love for their charges that I have been extraordinarily impressed. And they know and respect their pets, physical ailments as we’ll as their psychological needs. I can’t say enough good things.
When I was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and couldn’t walk my Lab, they were there for me. I stress, not just for Dylan, but for me as well, encouraging me, spending time with me, brightening my life.
They are a joy and I consider them both family now.

Nearly five years later and Ronnie and Chris are still family. They are simply the best and I could not imagine having my dogs without them. My dogs just love them and I do too. I trust them without question. If ever I am gone all day or out of town for weeks, I trust Ronnie and Chris with my dogs and the house. They are wonderful and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have used Chris & Ronnie since 2007 — they are super dependable, loving, considerate, and pet knowledgeable. I am a regular weekly client and in the last 6 years I’ve only experienced top notch service. If you’re wondering who you can trust with your animal-​children, these guys are an easy choice. They do not farm you out to people working for them — they are the ones doing the walking, playing, sitting… and that speaks volumes for peace of mind.

Chris & Ronnie are great! I’ve been a client for the last few years and I have 2 dogs– one of them being a «difficult» dachshund. Linky (my dachshund) generally doesn’t like most people, or animals, but he took right away to them– even on the initial visit. They’re great and so intuitive with dogs. And Link has improved over the years that they’ve been walking him.
Also, they have very competitive pricing. They charge me the same price for walking both of my dogs. And they always include The Daily Scoop after every walk– a small write up giving the synopsis of the walk. Not to mention pictures they regularly text or put up on their flickr. They’re really fantastic, loving, and caring dog walkers.

We have used Chris and Ronnie for daily dog walking during the week and also when we go on vacations… for almost 10 years! They are the kindest, most loving and dependable dog walkers you and your pets will ever meet.
Our dogs Sammie and Q looked forward to their walks (more like outings because they would take them to the local parks, hikes and even our nearby del rey lagoon!). They treated them like family and Chris and Ronnie became like part of our family as well.
Our dogs passed away within the last 2 years and we knew that they had lived the best lives in part because of the love that Chris and Ronnie gave them. When they both deteriorated from arthritis Ronnie carried them up an down our stairs… and they were large dogs.
We have used many dog walkers in the past and they by far are the best. You won’t regret going with them and you will always feel that your pets are in good loving hands.

I was hesitant at first to hire a dog walker because my dogs are my children and I don’t trust many people with them. I have two English Bulldogs that don’t always behave and can be really stubborn. I needed a strong pack leader. It’s been 5+ years now. Ronnie & Chris have helped raise my two Bulldogs. When they were hurt, Ronnie carried them up and down the stairs. When they were sick he gave them medication and tailored the walks around what they could do physically. They pick up after them when they have an accident (which is often). The biggest contribution has been helping them become more socialized around other animals. Group walks and Ronnie leading the way has really made a difference. Norma and Doris are now good citizens and I can take them anywhere. The picture updates they send make my day. They are my dog walkers for life. A 5 star rating is not enough!!!

Ronnie and Chris have been with Sammie, our 6yo bullmastiff, since she was 5 months old. They walk Sammie with a variety of dogs allowing her to mingle and socialize during the week. Sammie would prefer to just eat, poop, and sleep but she really gets pumped up when she hears Ronnie/​Chris opening up the door for her mid-​day walks. They leave notes after each walk letting you know what times they walked, any treats given, how many poops, etc. They are highly dependable and flexible with your schedule too. Sammie is scheduled for walks 4 days a week, but if my wife or I have to stay home w/​one of our kids, we just email/​text Ronnie/​Chris and let them know we can take care of dog-​walking duties that day, and we’re rescheduled.

Chris is great — he’s always quick to get back to you and extremely professional and courteous. We tend to make travel plans pretty last-​minute, so he’s definitely had to squeeze us in quite a few times.
He does a great job with pet sitting our cat, and we’ve had him do some light house-​sitting stuff (taking in mail, watering plants). I also like that he leaves little notes about each of his visits.
Pricing is reasonable, but be sure to note the additional fees. Our management company is pretty stingy with extra keys, so we have to pay an additional fee for key pick-​up and drop-​off, and sometimes the additional fee for services during the major holidays.
Overall, Chris does a great job and is extremely trustworthy and reliable.

If only I could give My Favorite Petsitter more than 5 stars…
When my girlfriend told me about Chris and his business, I was initially a little concerned. Not being too huge in the «trusting people I don’t know» department, I was uneasy with leaving someone I didn’t know with a copy of our key, and access to our animals.
The initial interview with Chris not only assuaged my fears, but made me feel good about hiring him in our absence. For an animal lover, that’s a big deal — there are far too few people (and especially businesses) out there that genuinely care about the animals, and aren’t really just there for the paycheck. This is NOT Chris. From the moment he walked in and greeted our animals, I knew they’d be in good hands. He takes time to meet the animals and gets to know them. It’s always a good sign when the animals are comfortable with someone, and this was definitely the case with Chris.
Chris clearly enjoys his work, and it shows. We found our home in great condition upon our return, our animals fat and happy, with detailed notes from each day when he stopped in to feed, walk, and play with them. He even posts pictures of your animals from when he comes to visit them, so you can get your «fuzzy friend fix» when you are away. It’s a great way to show you that your pets are doing well, and that you don’t have to worry. For someone who considers their pets a part of the family, that’s a big deal.
I can’t say enough for Chris and My Favorite Petsitter.

I am so impressed with the quality of service that I had to write this review.
I just went on a vacation with my boyfriend to Spain, and I did not have anyone to watch my cat Sebby. After searching on Unilocal,I found My Favorite Pet Sitter. There were only a few reviews, but all 5 stars so I thought why not.
After the initial interview with Chris, I could tell right away that Sebby was comfortable with him and that he was caring and a ‘nice’ guy. I set up the dates he would come and check and feed and give water to Sebby.
While on my trip, I got an email from him one day while I was away letting me know that Sebby is doing well. Perfect to put my mind at ease while I was enjoying my trip. I came home to a very happy cat and also daily cards for each day Chris came by, with the times and what he did. He even watered the plant I asked him to, my strawberry plant looked better than how I left it!
I definitely will ask Chris to watch Sebby again next time I go away, and I am so relieved to not have to drag him to friends places and let him stay home where he is happy and comfortable instead.

We’ve known Chris for about 5 years. He cares for a bunch of our friends and their dogs, and ours, too. You simply cannot put a value or price on a dog walker such as Chris. He is an ultimate professional. He gives us such peace of mind when our dogs are under his care. Our dogs are always drawn to him (and it’s not because he has treats)! Seriously, he is the Dog Whisperer of the Westside.
