I had an amazing experience at Maitri today — I walked out absolutely glowing, which is saying a lot because in general I do not enjoy shopping. The store was full of yoga-​wear treasures, and Ellina immediately knew what to suggest for my body type — better than I could select for myself! I had a very enjoyable experience learning about essential oils and the specialist and educator in-​store was also so wonderful. Thanks so much to both of you for your warmth and kindness — I am on my own in LA for a somewhat difficult trip and for the first time today really enjoyed being here. My new yoga clothing is absolutely beautiful, and I certainly intend to be back. Anyone reading this — you need to go to this store and support these women, your practice, pysche and yoga attire will be better off for it!

This is a beautiful space filled with the most addicting selection of yoga wear. The owner, Ellina, is so friendly and helpful, and this review mainly exists because she recommended the greatest pair of yoga/​lounging pants, that I’ve pretty much lived in since I purchased them. They have great pieces for your practice, before and after class, and great accessories as well. So happy that it opened up along my commute!

I love Maitri yoga boutique. My 2 sets of yoga wear from Maitri exceeded my expectations from my usual go to yoga wear (lulu lemon) the atmosphere is serene and airy. Ellina the owner is beyond lovely. A must go to. if you’re not in culver city drive out of need be and then enjoy dinner at one of the nearby hotspots .

What a gorgeous and warm space. From the moment you step in you are greeted with a warm smile and friendly attitude. I love the selection of cool gear that you can’t find anywhere else. I’m also a breastfeeding mama and I sat on the couch and fed without any problem :) The owner, Ellina is a talented yogi and she has great tips and she’s super knowledgable! Go check out Maitri and support small businesses!

Love this store! I was around the corner having lunch at Sage & stopped here on a whim. Glad I did. Cute selection of yoga apparel (I don’t always want to wear Lulu). They also carry yoga props, books, & oils. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgable & passionate about yoga. They offer community classes, readings, and other fun events. I purchased a cute deck of affirmation cards.

Wow! This place has an amazing selection of yoga clothing (supporting many local LA companies) and props (bolsters, blocks and oils etc). Ellina is sweet and kind and is really passionate about yoga which is refreshing. I will most def be back! This is my new favorite place to buy yoga gear.

Such a beautiful space in a great location! They have an awesome selection of clothing that performs well and is responsibly made. Ellina makes you feel welcome the minute you walk in and is happy to answer any questions about products or yoga in general. The best part about this place is that they are constantly hosting free events and COMMUNITY YOGA ON SATURDAYS! Yes, free yoga on Saturdays with some B.A. teachers. If you’re ever in the hood at Sage or Chipotle (hey man, we all get that craving) you must walk over and check it out!

Recently stopped in Maitri Yoga Store & wasn’t disappointed. Such a beautiful space — great energy & the staff/​owner obviously knows her Yoga! She was able to answer all of my questions & was very knowledgable about the products in the shop.
This was my first experience in a yoga store that wasn’t a major chain (lulu, etc) and it was refreshing to find a selection of really cute clothing & gear. I knew it had to exist! Much of it made right here in LA! Great selection — I will definitely be sending friends this way.
I even had my little one with me & Maitri was very sweet about him roaming & dropping cookie crumbs around the shop. Totally appreciate that (& sorry!).
It seems like LA needed a shop like this! Definitely worth checking out.

Culver City finally has its own oasis to come chill, purchase high quality yoga clothes, accessories, Dottera essential oils, and more. Ellina has created a welcoming space that allows customers to slow down and enjoy their experience, whether it be purchasing a bolster or blanket, or grabbing that must-​have pair of yoga pants. I’ll definitely be back!

A great independent alternative to Lulu and all the other chain yoga stores! Maitri has such a warm welcoming vibe as soon as you enter. The clothing options are unique and they sell bolsters, mats, cloth mats (which I’m looking forward to trying), essential oils and yogi books. It’s like a yogi actually runs the store and not a corporation!

Awesome store went there opening night for their opening celebration. The space is really well designed. They have all types of great clothes for both men and women. Plus the have accessories and yoga mats. The back of the store even has a reading and meditation area!
Ellina is the store owner and she’s super friendly, so if shes working be sure to say hi. She’s an experienced yoga instructor so she’ll definitely be able to set you up with the stuff you need for your practice.
