One star just because they were polite towards me… otherwise all that has happened over the past couple months is that I went in for an interview with Charise, she took my resume, information, etc and I have not heard anything since! When I followed up she said she was still sending my resume out agencies… really disappointing. They haven’t done anything for me but wasted my time!

I am very pleased with this staffing agency. Cherise is a consummate professional. She sent me out on interviews right away and as a result, I was able to land a job with a premier employer! If it wasn’t for them I’d probably still be looking for employment. Thanks so much LA Recruitment!

I personally came to L.A. Recruitment as a newly graduate from USC, I applied on a Monday, got a call a week later with an interview on a Friday and started working on the following Monday. Cherise was very warm, real, honest with me about all possibilities! I can’t think of my complex problem that I ran into. If things at some point don’t workout for me at this Job I’m at now, then for sure I’ll be returning to LA recruitment.

This place is a total scam. I went there a fews months ago desperately looking for work. I have a graduate degree and was blown away by the promises I was given. It left me feeling hopeful. But that was too good to be true… you know the saying about if it’s to good to be true?
After meeting with Charise, she told me that I should do a seminar (which she coincidentally happened to have the flyer in her hand), and that the $ 40 it cost, I would be responsible for. I really didn’t have the money, but let one of my bills go in order for this supposed opportunity.
After I completed this certified course, I called Charise to let her know (just in case that was the hold up). Well, almost a month later and still nothing. I should have paid attention to all the comments posted on Unilocal,but I like to give people the opportunity to prove me wrong… so now I know. My advice… stay away. You’re better off looking on Craigslist.

I was satisfied with LA Recruitment. I recommend them. However, there was some confusion about the pay expectations, and this confusion was never allayed. For instance, I was told that I could expect to be paid nothing less than 65K. I was only paid 52K. I also expected to see an increase in pay after the first 500 hours, per their policy. I emailed about these issues, but in both cases received no response.

The owner of this Agency is a rude and rigid man. Stay clear. Something is wrong with him. He was very insulting. He typed cast me based on my looks. «oh you look like you talk a lot» Who does that in an interview. Grew up Mister! He is quite delusional and easily frightened by strong women. I will leave at that.

RUDE!!! Wow! Charise is a very rude and does not want to help you. Trying to devalue my Master’s degree and tell me I won’t get a job without certain requirements that she did not even know. I can’t believe that they would employ someone so rude and with a know it all attitude that can’t even help you. Would never use them and would not recommend them to anyone else.

This place, its staff Charise, especially the owner, Errol F. has two thumbs down. PLease, fellow mental health providers, run the other way. You can do better on your own. Can you spell S C A M M E R S? I went there after I made clear what I was looking for and would accept. Full time, permanent!!! How difficult is that to understand? They sent me on an interview reassuring me it was full time permanent. The kind interviewer stated it was part time and hopefully full time later. I liked the company and decided okay. But when I got home, I called LA recruitment and they acted clueless, blaming the interviewer for not knowing what he was doing. I wanted to believe them BUT, on the first day on the job, I heard I was a part time worker for 6 months temp only. I had to stop training there and explained the discrepancies I was hearing. They were confused as I was. I excused myself, call ERROL and he lied and was so rude, again blaming the company I went to work for. I told Errol he was unprofessional and misleading. HE stated, «if you don’t believe me, oh well and if you don’t like it, go home and i will fill the position before you get home.» That was it. I had to go back into the office of the supervisor who hired me to explain the situation. It put both of us in a tough situation. LA recruitment wasted both our time and lost creditability. What a joke! I would not put in another minute of work to earn them money. Other reviews that stated they liked them probably got what was easy for LA recruitment to provide, but for serious professional mental health providers… don’t WASTE your time. WASTE Of TIME!!!

I couldn’t agree with J.M. and Kevin K. more! Please AVOID this company at all costs! This company has scam written all over it. I wish I would have checked the Unilocal reviews before providing them with my personal information. Definitely seems that their goal is to get as many resumes and personal information as possible to provide to prospective employers (who they probably charge for the potential candidates). I wouldn’t be surprised if they provide employee’s information to advertising firms as well. They did not secure me a single interview with any prospective employers during the time I agreed to work with them. When I questioned why I had not received any interviews from them, I spoke to Charise on the phone and she was rude and interrupted me several times. She did not offer any willingness to help resolve my concern and was very defensive. RED FLAG ALERT. I feel sorry that I was naïve enough to believe that this was a professional operation.

Really like this agency. Helped me get a job right away like I went in one day had the interview the following day and got hired on the spot. The recieptionist always has such a great attidude, always positive and helpful. She sure can multitask practically runs the whole buisness.

I agree with both of the previous reviewers– I was placed in a job that I love, but boy was there a price to pay. I think j.m. was being gracious in his appraisal of the owner of the agency. I wish I had read a Unilocal review that would have helped me to steer clear of this pace, but you are the beneficiary of my life experience.

Pros: Charise and Erol found me a job within 2 weeks of graduating from my MSW program. I had a lot of other things going on in my life at that time and was being lazy about job hunting. They really helped me by finding me a job fast without me having to do a lot of job hunting. I still have my job and I am happy there.
Cons: They didn’t tell me that they would be taking a chunk of my pay for the first three months until it was time to agree to the job. It wasn’t terrible but I wish I would have known up front. They also tell you that you will be hired on with your company three months after you start but it depends on your performance and in my case it took about 4 months.
Overall I was happy to be hired so fast and who knows… if I had done it on my own I would not have been making any money for longer and so it evens out with more experience and less work for me on the part of finding a job.

These people are scammers. They are rude resume collectors who want to exploit any and all new grads with promises (delusions) of grandeur. They had me come in touting a job a they could not disclose. They had me write my SS number on about 15 pages of documentation. I eventually had a face to face meeting with this RUDE owner (a grumpy old man) after 15 minutes of filling out forms. He was so rude to me, I eventually confronted him, ended the interview, snatched my paperwork off the desk (with all my confidential info) and left. I asked my friends whom just graduated about this place and the consensus was: avoid. Do yourself and figure out your new jobs on your own; these people have ulterior motives and severe issues with professionalism. I was actually really concerned about giving them my SS number and made sure that they had none of my residual information…
