Kron Gracie Jiu Jitsu

Although, I don’t have a broad list of places to compare it to, one knows very quickly regarding the quality of the instructor and the gym. I’m currently in the white belt only class and can’t say enough good things about my instructor, Jonathan, and my fellow classmates. Once class starts, you put your head down and go through an hour of intensive drilling of fundamentals, but the hour goes by so fast that it can only mean one thing: you had fun!

Been training with Kron for over 10 years and he just gets better. Focusing on the basics, all of the jiu-​jitsu taught at his academy is legit as it gets.
In response to the review by «Alex F.» (below). If you’re a white belt, then you should’ve been in the white belt class. They are structured so that you learn the basics and how Kron teaches the advanced class. You said it yourself that you couldn’t ‘grasp’ his technique (s), so you definitely should have spent some time training in the white belt only class. Food for thought.

I didn’t actually train here, I just stopped by for like 15 minutes and watched, but the facility is nice, the front desk guy was cool. And it looked like their was a range of belts from white to black. They have those judo-​type mats that are really soft if you’re thrown, so that’s nice. Kron wasn’t there at that time. Hopefully I’ll get some time to further check it out for a more detailed review.

Was in town for a few days and did a drop in here the out of town fee is a bit pricey but expected for such a name school. Kron wasn’t teaching at the time I was in but the level of teaching and warm up is awesome. This is a school for self defense and d school Gracie jiu jitsu if your looking for sport you’ll def get a lot of good basics but don’t expect to see berimbolos and other techniques like this. I would and will next time in town try to make it back. Rickson teaches the 11a Monday and wed classes and would love to get in on this

If you want to learn BJJ from a grappling world champion and amazing instructor, this is the place. Kron Gracie is the son on the infamous Rickson Gracie, who is a legend in BJJ and MMA.
Kron has a great facility, with a large mat area, locker rooms, showers, and all the gear you need to learn BJJ. Many places now focus on «sport BJJ» but at Kron’s you will learn real Jiu Jitsu, which allow you to defend yourself if you ever need to on the street.
What is more impressive to me is how friendly everyone is here. Coming from out of town, some gyms will give you mean looks and be closed off. Here, I was welcomed with open arms and made friends with a few people in my first day here.

Master Kron is a great teacher. Enthusiastic. Positive energy. He oozes Jiu-​Jitsu with all of his heart. He makes an effort to help all his students. He balances his competition training with his classes that he teaches. It probably isn’t easy teaching class, running a school/​biz, training and focusing on competition to bring home the trophy. But Kron is doing a great job in BOTH arenas. Kron is a true martial artist.
Overall, great vibe, great school, great teachers, and great location. Highly recommended for a great workout. You just feel good after class. You will be sore. You will get your ass kicked. But you cannot wait to go back to the next class. Warning: Jiu-​Jitsu is highly addictive. Whether you want to compete at a high level or just want to roll to relieve some stress, KGJJ is the place to be. The teachers also emphasize self-​defense techniques and not just sports JJ. They offer early day, and evening classes. Everyone at the academy is friendly and willing to help each other out. Great training partners. Clean mats. No smelly uniforms please. Wash your Gis at all times. Shower before and after class. Eat right. Sleep well. Say «no» to drugs boys and girls. Change your lifestyle to a healthy one.
When you see a humble man like Kron aligned with his DESTINY, it is quite an inspiration to improve your own life. Through martial arts, you can master yourself and discover who you truly are. But only you can take the first step. Step on the mat and let the transformation begin. KGJJ is truly a game changer, on the mat, and in life. May peace be with you.

Super solid jiujitsu straight from the source. Outstanding instruction, Kron Gracie teaches every class like it would be his last and is unselfish with the knowledge handed down from his Grandfather, Helio and his father Rickson.
The mat space is huge and very clean. Parking is simple, the location is perfect. Add the positive and tough training partners and its jiujitsu heaven.

Not only carrying on the traditional self defense jiu jitsu his father Rickson Gracie and his Grandfather Helio Gracie taught him, but also taking it to the next level into the modern jiu jitsu competition arena as one of the best in the world.
Best part is that Kron actually teaches the classes not like a lot of of places where it’s just a name on the door and that «Name» never teaches the classes. He always takes time to make sure each student can actually perform the technique correctly.

Ive been training with Kron for almost 10 years and I have always felt like the school is a second home and the guys who train there are my family. The new gym is amazing. Kron really goes out of his way to make sure that everyone is learning and improving at the rate that they desire. He also offers great kid’s and women’s classes.

Best Jiu-​Jitsu school in Los Angeles, maybe in the world. Head Instructor Kron is world class Jiu-​Jitsu competitor. His instruction is as good as his father Rickson Gracie. He teaches all the tricks and details other jiu-​jitsu schools fail to teach. Highly recommended.
