Called today looking for consultation on my color. I met Tuan and he analyzed my hair, mixed up the color, and I LOVE the result. Tuan is very knowledgeable about color and cut. I’ll be coming back for my next cut as well as color. Hair is shiny and lustrous. Plus the whole energy of the salon is positive and friendly. Carlton, the owner, was a pleasure to meet and has created a great shop. I’m sure all the stylists are fabulous. I saw great hair from the other patrons.

Called last min for a wash and blow dry a lovely girl name Sasha answered she said she will take me in she was amazing her blow drying skills are amazing like amazing best volume blow dry ever I was super impressed definitely coming back to too see her

We love coming here! is like an oasis of sweetness and light plus we leave with a new better look every time. Karsten the owner is charming and helpful and best of all honest with his opinions of your hair do or hair don’t. Aveda is by far the best line of NATURAL color products. Aveda salons are scarce because the training and set up takes is extra for both the technicians and the owner. Layeli is a magician! She knows how to keep us looking our very best and isn’t afraid to go with a new look because — it’s hair! It will grow! You will not be sorry if you give this place a try. There is parking for clients in the back.

I love this place. I have been going here for 4 years now. Layeli you rock. She absolutely spoils me. They remodeled their place and it’s very cozy. Highly recommend you coming here. I get blond highlights and Layeli does a great job.

I am so thankful to have discovered Tuan! I would recommend him for an all over excellent experience. He is extremely pleasant, kind, easy to talk to, so that makes visits with him enjoyable. He is extremely talented hairdresser, I hardly have to say anything and he knows exactly what to do with my crazy curly hair. I left with a perfect haircut on both occasions, and my hair is not too easy to work with. His head and scalp massages are so amazing, which is definitely an added bonus. Tuan is A-​mazing!!! I’ve been dying my hair for over 15 years and only one other time I’ve found someone as good as Tuan. Literally, when he was done, my jaw dropped! My color looks so natural and soft, I can’t stop staring.
Since moving back to LA 3 years ago, I’ve been to several high-​end and middle priced places, in search of someone like Tuan. And thank goodness I’ve found him!!!
He is highly knowledgable, gentle and super sweet. My whole experience was very relaxing. I felt at ease the moment he started making suggestions — he just gets it! Tuan has been in high-​end salons all over the US (including Bev. Hills) and it shows!
I’m hooked and have already rebooked my future appointments.

This review is long overdue as I have been coming here for years. I chose this salon because they use Aveda products.
LAYELI is my girl! I don’t think I have stayed with a hair stylist as long as I have with her. I go to her for color and cut. I show her a picture what I want and she always delivers. Even when I attempt to go for a more adventurous style and am feeling nervous about it, I never have to worry how it will turn out. It’s always as good, or better! She has the perfect balance of being friendly and chatty but not overbearing. She also gives a great neck massage (when you book in advance, I think).
This is a small cute chill salon. Usually it’s just me and another client. Two parking spots in the back. I like how easy it is — no drama.

Honestly 5 stars all around. I had a hair malfunction and they took me in right away with open arms! I called early morning and I believe I spoke with the owner and told me I could come in right away.
Wasn’t hard to find, and they have parking in the back which is always a plus if you don’t want to park meters.
Tuan…is hands down the best man all around. So charismatic and so talented it’s amazing.
He knew right away what to do with my hair and did nothing more but fixate on me. I truly appreciate this because most places you go to they sit and nag about how dried out/​damaged your hair is and then begin the never ending rant on what products you should buy.
I can honestly say it’s worth your money and he is just amazing! The rest of the staff were friendly and outgoing as well. I loved how my hair turned out and so did everyone else.

I’ve been looking for a hair salon that delivers ever since my hairdresser and I broke up a while ago.
So I scoured Unilocal looking for a hidden gem and came up with Koncept 67 and Tuan. I was prepared to be open minded to ANYONE as long as they could deliver. And I was not disappointed!
I had made a pretty specific request: I loved my hair color and the highlights/​bayalage that I had going on. I just needed it refreshed and my roots touched up and matched. So why not go back to the originator of my style? She’s in the valley :/​I need someone closer. He made some minor improvements on it, just putting his stamp on it, you know? The color was great, the styling was spot on.
The only thing I wasn’t too thrilled about was how much he took off. This is where you typically hear the horror story of how the hairdresser chopped off 4 inches more than what you wanted right? No, quite the opposite. In my opinion he didn’t chop off enough. I hadn’t had a hair cut in almost a year because I was saving length for my wedding, so I KNEW I needed much more than a trim.
But seriously, I can’t even fully call that a complaint. Except my hair is really processed so my ends are frizzy. BUT all things considered, I’m not dissatisfied. It’s been 2 months since I saw him and I will be returning to him soon for a trim.
Tuan himself is very personable, mild mannered, and social without being intrusive or pushy. I usually don’t care much about personalities while I’m getting processed because I can be an introvert if needed. But I know it’s important for some, so it deserves an honorable mention that I think he’d make anyone feel at ease.

I went last week for the first time to get my hair done here! I loved it. «Tuan» did my hair! He did an amazing job. I cut a couple inches off and I died it black. I’ve been getting so many compliments on my hair. I’m so happy with it!

They served tea as it was a chilly day. Love my hair color. Very professional. Will definitely return for next hair color and will recommend this place to friends and people reading this review.

Layeli is the best. She did an amazing job in the first place but when I asked to add a few more highlights she did it right away. She’s so kind and seriously just so talented. I wouldn’t get my hair colored anywhere else.

I got so many beauty transitions here I don’t know which one to review about. I got my ombré, blue hair extension and eyelash extension. All of the artists there are very professional and sweet! They use Aveda products so my hair didn’t feel damaged at all after the ombré. They are also really good at listening to your needs and before you know it, you will be transformed into a completely new person (more beautiful!).
I highly recommend Koncept67!!!

Jessica has been my stylist for years. I was sad when she moved to California. A couple of days ago I had someone else do my hair and was less than pleased. So today I flew out for the day to have her fix it. I can say I would much rather just fly to Cali to have her do my hair. She is amazing.

Best bob haircut ever with Tuan! He makes it look so easy yet he is so precise. He told me before I sat down, «I’m going to make it perfect.» That was a high promise, but he delivered!!! He gave me a haircut way better than the one I brought pictured. It’s like he was reading my mind the whole time, too. He knew exactly what I wanted. I strongly recommend Tuan.
While I was there, I saw a man getting his hair cut and it looked phenomenal. Incredibly stylish. Yet they make it look so effortless. This place is incredible. Don’t let the modest size of the place fool you. Some extreme talent here.
Also love that they use Aveda products and the head massage was ethereal. Go here!!!

After my last experience, I have to leave an honest review. I have been going to this salon for a while, and Laura has been coloring my hair.
I also will tell you that I will not be going back.
I do have to warn you that if you go and don’t like your hair, expect to pay to have it fixed. This shouldn’t be usual salon practice if you are having your hair fixed, but I guess it is here.
Laura is a pretty nice girl and is good with color and she helped me in getting my hair blond, when I went in with a few photos of J. Lo when she was blond.
She got very close, if spot on to the color in the photos.
I am in grad school now and decided most recently that I wanted to switch to a light brown color, and all one color, to keep the upkeep of my hair much easier.
I went in with 3 photos of the color that I wanted. I got all the photos by googling «light brown hair.» Apparently this color is called «ash brown.» I did not know this until later but who cares anyways? I went in with photos.
Well I left the salon, in shock with my dark brown, reddish hair. I mean, why would I spend 5 months going blond to just darken it like that?
I waited 2 days and called back to tell her I was unhappy.
She told me to put dish soap in my hair to strip the dye and call her back in a week if I still hated it. Are you kidding?
I called back in a week, obviously. My hair looked even more red after I put dish soap in it. And wtf am I doing putting dish soap in my hair anyways?
I called many times after that week to try and get back in and I could tell the owner on my last call was annoyed. But why? What did I do wrong? I tip 30−40%, and Ive never complained before.
I went back in and the owner didn’t speak to me at all (he usually is very nice) and Laura took a bit to warm up to me. I was the one apologizing to her for taking up her time and I was going to tip her for fixing my hair.
Guess what though?
She walks up to the owner and asks him what to charge me and he asks her what she did, to which she replies «highlights.» He then says, «charge her for highlights then.» She should have told him she was fixing my hair, don’t you think? Since it was NOTHING like the photos I brought in the first time.
I paid, and I tipped. Both of which, in hindsight, I should not have done.
I would defintely not go back under any circumstances. The owner said so much in his demeanor and the charge. He said he didn’t care about fixing mistakes or about his clientele.
I can throw a rock and hit 5 other Aveda salons in the area. I am sure some other salon will appreciate my business.
Oh and btw, my hair is still not the correct color.

I had an incredibly bad experience here and I just want to write this to show how bad my hair came out and to warn anyone who is thinking of getting their color done here.
I really don’t like ranting about how terrible a place is but I was just thoroughly disappointed with Koncept67. I had read great reviews on this place and so I gave it a try but long story short, they really messed up my hair to the point where i am embarrassed to wear it down. I managed to get half of my money back but Im still left with patches of color on the top half of my head and a very noticable line of where the color starts in the middle of my hair.
I came in asking for a honey balayage and brought some pictures to show exactly what I wanted. I ended up with some kind of messed up Ombré style instead. The color was nice but started in the middle of my head and it wasnt even faded in, it was an obvious line. I hadnt noticed how bad it was until the curls fell from my hair and I took pictures of it from the side view. I told her I was unhappy with it and she told me to come back the next day to fix it. I came back and she admitted that something went wrong and did some tweaks (very quickly– 30 mins tops) but it still wasnt what I had asked for and really looked the same as before. She then scheduled me for another appointment with more time the following week.
I returned for the 3^rd time and I we discussed what I wanted. I showed her the pictures again and explained that I wanted color on the top too, not just on half of my hair– balayage throughout. She did her thing and it came out worse than before. I still had a clear line of where the color started in the middle of my hair and now had patches on the top of my head.
At this point i was convinced that she did not know what she was doing nor understood what balayage was and I left.
I spoke with the manager/​shop owner or whatever he was of the place, and asked for my money back. He refused because he said there was nothing wrong with my hair and that I should schedule another appointment with the stylist so she could fix it. I think 3 tries is more than enough and i did not want to waste more time here or damage my hair more than it was already through this coloring.
I argued with both of them for a while. She said that I probably have bad lighting at home and that if i wanted it too look nice without waves in my hair (she curled my hair after each coloring) that I should have brought her a picture of someone with straight hair. He was trying to convince me that I scheduled an appointment asking for ombré when first of all I never even spoke to him when scheduling an appointment and ombré was never a word i said at anytime. It was really annoying that they wouldnt admit it was messed up even though everyone I’ve shown can clearly see the damage. After arguing with them for too long and ending up in tears, he eventually gave me half of my money back (150 of 250 spent).
He said out of the thousand girls that go in there, I was the only one that was unhappy. I highly doubt that.
