Goodman’s Tow Service

My car was towed from one of the public parking lots and I had a very easy/​calm experience. I was nervous as I had read so many bad reviews, but I made sure to call the police Dept first and paid for my release. I then took proof to the tow yard and paid my tow and overnight fees. So other than bad luck, my experience was fine. Everyone was nice.

Thieves! Don’t use this place ever. They will rip you off and take things out your car that IS NOT THEIRS. I’m still curious as to where my charger is.

Horrible drivers. Was on the freeway with them and they almost hit me multiple times. I was in my lane going the speed of traffic and they tried to «cut me off» even though my small car was already almost ahead of them. It’s like they were trying to drum up business by running people off the road. Then when I didn’t slam on my brakes to let them in front of me they tailgated me. Finally passed me and kept doing the same to other drivers.

I called to locate my car, he was very helpful. gave me all the numbers I needed, was very informative.

i agree with all the negative reviews above. worst place ever. the employees take their sweet time to come to the window (on purpose), are rude, walk away in the middle of a question, and enjoy treating people badly. i was told by the culver city police dispatcher specifically not to come to the police station (as i was on my way there) and instead call goodman’s. when i called they said they were closed. then i called again later and pleaded and they said they had 2 tow yards and put me on hold until they told me my car was in tow yard that was still open. when i got to goodman’s i was told i have to go back to the police station to pay a bogus $ 100 «storage» fee before coming back to goodman’s. i didn’t have transportation at that point (was dropped off by a friend). at that point, te only nice person who works in that place offered me a ride to the police station and back. he was the only person there with an actual human beating heart. total for getting towed that eve: $ 467 including police fee and parking ticket. btw, i was towed in an ill marked «valet zone» even though there is no visible sign, only signs far away down the block and even though parking machine took my money and posted enough time — the kicker? my dog was sitting in passenger carseat during tow and was taken away by animal control services. i had to get the dog back from them! (animal control lady was the only other nice person of the evening). the whole enchilada is one big racket. i would not be surprised if the valet parkers and restaurant owners get kick backs as well. beware of culver city — complete racket and the restaurant staff and valet were useless!!!

Terrible service. The receptionist doesn’t know a thing and is very rude and unprofessional. Next time ill try to have my accidents outside of Culver City so that these people won’t tow my car.

I wish I can give this place 0 stars.
Terrible service and no common human decency with the way they speak to customers. They speak to us like we are prisoners and then throw out insulting remarks.
They charge per day and are closed over the weekend. If you get towed on a Friday night, you’re stuck paying the tow fee and storage for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday when you can finally pick up your car.
It’s a shame Culver City police has this place as their designated lot.

Worst company to ever exist! They give u the runaround constantly, bitchy attitude!

I had perhaps one of the worst experiences possible through this towing service. I got in a minor car accident and my insurance company sent Goodmans to get both me and my car. They sent Arturo. My insurance company gave the address to a body shop, but the body shop was closed. Arturo, upon finding out the shop was closed, became irate and inappropriate. He called me stupid. He spoke to me by saying, «You need to call your insurance right now, I’m going to charge you. Lady, this place is closed, you’re gonna get charged.» Every sentence was a demand. Completely inappropriate. I’ve never been talked to in such a way before. Had a male been in the passenger seat, he wouldn’t have been subjected to the harassment that I endured. I’m not exactly sure why he became so angry, did he have other tow calls to attend to. He also said he was nice enough to drive me in his tow truck… I was under the impression that was his job. Also, when I called my insurance company to ask them where I should go seeing as the body shop was closed, he put his hand to his ear and began mocking me. If Arturo is a representative, an extension of this towing company, then it’s the worst run business I’ve ever encountered. I was verbally harassed by this man. I called Goodman’s twice to file a complaint, they took my number both times and said someone will call back, this is yet to happen. What if I had been in a major accident, where people had got hurt and I would of had to then deal with Arturo, someone who has no regard for others. Just a poorly run company, with terrible employees.

They are thieves.
They tow cars legally [yes lawfully], then hide the cars for 29 days, then send the owner a letter of
intent to take legal ownership of vehicles on day 29, [if the storage fee of 11ntymillion dollars is not paid at that point].
You are given until midnight on day 30… Then, if not paid, they own your car.
They inturn;auction them off for the profit .
Edit– Goodmans is now owned by All-​City towing, and has been for quite a spell. I have continued to hear tales of vanishing cars though… well at least until day 30

I’m stating this from the Business Owner’s point of view — Goodman’s Tow Service is great and is located in Culver City! Their service response turn-​around is quick for our business in Culver City — even in the rain! All the others tow services asked us to call them back in the afternoon when they are slower — but Goodman’s Tow sent their tow truck immediately to pull a vehicle parked in our business lot. Thanks again for the best service ever! And we love your tow drivers who are wonderful and helpful.

I had the worst towing experience of my life!
After paying the $ 240.00 they charged to release my car fo a day’s tow
they would NOT go get my car! I had already paid, had the keys, receipt and I had to call the Culver City Police department for them to stop acting like children and go get my car!
the cashier was rude, impersonal and condescending. The guy who was supposed to go get my car who was sitting in a chair behind the bullet proof glass said he did not work there when he came out to go get my car (???)
I believe that if I show up to a place and request an explanation as why the charges were for? they should provide them with calming courtesy not by mocking me and bullying their way and abusing the power the City of Culver City has bestowed by making them the Culver CIty Police towing headquarters.
