Quick and easy. Took my laptop into repair on Monday and was able to pick it up Tuesday.

Found the best place to upgrade your computers hard drive. My daughters MacBook needed more hard drive space to Speed up the system. Kevin the manager was extremely helpful & knowledgeable. Robert the IT tech was personable experienced & super cool ! Will be bringing back my other Apple computers for upgrades & services. I def recommend that place !

Great, proactive service. What could have been an excruciating waste of time and loss of productivity turned into a very pleasant hour of my time and $ 0 expense as they did a great job of addressing a warranty repair right on site. Will recommend them to anyone I know with computer problems!

I was in a huge hurry to get my Lenovo Laptop fixed that crashed.
They were super nice and even gave me a loaner.
Just be sure to be specific on any settings you’d like to see back on the computer.

I am elated knowing that my favorite computer Dr. Robert is still accepting patients @ CALIFORNIA COMPUTER. My Lenovo y560d was not getting her juice and Doc had worked on her several years ago; but she needed a whole new DC JACK unit — guess what Kevin and Doc made sure it was cost effective and no additional expense to install.
I am proudly exalting my joy and very satisfied with the Team @ CALIFORNIA COMPUTER. My goto always for repair; new and tech services.

California Computer purchased a printer from me via eBay and blind shipped to their customer. The printer was new in factory packaging upon shipment. California Computer returned the printer to me in VERY BAD CONDITION. No cords, shattered plastic, broken pieces, etc. Be very careful when doing business with this company.

I had burned motherboard with my Qosmio X75 laptop. it was diagnosed correctly and repaired within estimated time frame. I thought it might take more than given time as it usually does. On pick up day, I was told new video card has been ordered since it might be affected as well even though it works fine. I just need to go back for new video card replacement when it arrives.
I am really satisfied with their professional service.

Taking your computer to this place is like going to a hospital for stitches on your finger and losing your arm to a bacterial infection. I took my computer in for a new graphics card and they gave me a LIVING NIGHTMARE.
They are the worst computer place that I have been to. They returned my machine and it did not work. I do not think that anyone tested it. I took it back and it
Worse yet, they broke into my computer, overrode the security to repair it– now I do not have any security. I am getting all sorts of viruses. It has cost me $ 800 to try to fix it. I might have to completely reformat the drive and reinstall of my software.
Finally, the virus on my machine has made several of my files unusable. It blows up a 5 mg Excel file to 10 gigs.
These guys are unethical idiots.

The power «on-​off» switch on my Asus tablet was giving me problems for a year, was getting stuck and i had to unstuck it frequently. Decided enough is enough and the problem had to be fixed, left the switch stuck to be repaired and took the tablet to California computer. I was charged 55 dollar a technisian to open the tablet and check the problem and they will call me to tell me the price for a part if needs to be changed and the total price for the repair. I never received a call with additional details about the repair. The only call I got from them was to notify me my tablet was fixed, ready for pick up and the total cost is 110.00 dollars. I went to pick up the tablet thinking they put new switch. For my surprise the switch was the same and was working. Exactly the way I used to unstuck on/​off switch in the last year. Nothing additional was done. I refused to accept the tablet and asked them why they are charging me 110.00 dollars for something that i can do it myself and i did it for an year, pushing the switch until gets out. The manager call me, was very arrogant, refusing to listen my conserns, telling me he is professionalal and I do not have to tell him how to do his job when I tried to give him details about the tablet.
Aviosly i did not reseived a call with additional details about the repair, because there were not any. They had just to push the switch few times to get unstuck and is already repaired. I paid 110.00 dollars and they were very «generous» to give me 30 days warranty. Stay away from this business, they are crooks. I had to read reviews for the business before I take my tablet to them for repair.

Fast service. Although they were unable to fix my DC jack problem, they still fixed everything else with my computer at a fair price and were eager to help.
I would like to update this review. To be honest the five stars that I gave them other day was a lie and the stuff I wrote above was a lie.
Their Unilocal check in discount for $ 25 off any order of $ 100 requires you to write them a Unilocal review. However it is not just any review… That review needs to be a FIVE STAR review In order to get the discount (Even though it says all you need is a check in on Unilocal)
Therefore I wrote the nice things above because I was scared of whether or not they would give me the discount.
So here is my honest review ~
They served me pretty quick and there was no lines. They had enough workers. They tried their best to help me by attempting to answer whatever questions I had, which they answered. They are knowledgable if you have questions.
However, prior to me bringing in my laptop I called them. They told me that the problem that I had would more than likely be fixed and that it was a very simple and cheap replacement of the DC jack. I also had a few minor problems (sound was off, computer was laggy) However, they cannot be sure because they’d have to open up the laptop to see.
So someone dropped off the laptop for me and also my charger for that laptop. After I got my laptop back they told me that they couldn’t fix that problem unless I replaced the motherboard! That was whatever with me, because I was kind of not expecting too much. They also successfully fixed minor problems. However, for that I could’ve seen someone else from craigslist or something and get it fixed one for a much lower price. These problems were small problems like cleaning out the fan and such.
ONE PROBLEM THOUGH :
When I got back my laptop, they told me that I did not give them the charger. That is false, because i did give them my charger. They wrote on one of their papers that I did not bring in a charger, but I did. Clerical errors on their end should be FIXED, not given to me. You can’t lose my charger and tell me i never gave one… and not only that but if you guys refuse to replace it then I would have been better off going somewhere else!
Another con: Parking and traffic is very bad here. I parked unknowingly in their neighbors parking area, and they told me to move. I told them OK I’d move it after I got my receipt real fast and submitted the review for the discount. I did those quickly and they made me wait a while for them to give me a receipt because of computer problems!
What angers me the most is that they the discount requires a 5 star review. I mean, a check in is OK. Asking me to write a review is OK. But asking for a 5 star review??? I had to think about what to say –_​_​_​–
I’m sorry my fellow Unilocalers, I should of just paid that extra money instead of lying and giving them a fake 5 star review!

I have contacted you today. You can say what you want and call me dishonest as many times as you please, but until you show me the security camera footage of the lack of charger, I keep my standpoint.
Your main Unilocal page does say discount with check in. Yet YOU GUYS told me to write a 5 star review for the discount! Remeber? One of your workers made me go outside because I had no internet on my phone inside yet SHE WANTED TO SEE MY REVIEW. When you guys do ask someone to write that, its kind of hard for a person to write a shitty review in front of you, and speak their feelings.
You say my computer was previously opened, so what? Your job is to fix it the problems on my computer, not complain about them.
You offered me a motherboard replacement! Thank you so much I greatly appreciate it. It only adds $ 500 to my bill.
You guys have my charger, or have the power to find it. Why would I try to piss you guys off more when you have what I need?
Might I add that I tried my best not to feel alarmed, when I read on the paper that has the «no AC adapter» written on it. It’s funny how that paper has something along the lines of, «Items that are not picked up in a timely manner may be confiscated» by you guys? So yes I did fuck up. Maybe I shouldn’t of left my laptop with you guys for a few months.
You can deny anything I say all you want, and some people might even believe you on your claim that I was supposedly being dishonest. But in the end, it was me who went in there, it was me who gave you guys my charger, and it was me who felt like I got the short and shitty end of the stick.
Find the security video and prove me wrong.
I have nothing to lose being «dishonest» ~ I’d rather have you say that to me and keep my charger then have my fellow Unilocalers feel the same regret I felt after walking in those doors.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! BEWARE! I took my laptop in to get fixed Bc it was running slow and left with a huge paperweight. First off they took 3 business days but 5 days overall after telling me that the process takes 3 – 5 hours. They also got me in by saying they would charge between $ 70 – 90 to repair the laptop but of course they changed me $ 90 without even flinching. No wonder there’s BMW’s and Aston Martin’s outside, they are crooks. When I brought the laptop in it at least turned on and somewhat worked. They totally killed it. Now it doesn’t even turn on, charge or any signs of life. It’s as if I took my loved one to the hospital because they were sick and these guys just finished the job and killed them. You’ve been warned!

Pretty expensive. But they fix my think pad very well. I would recommend this service center.

Total ripoff. I ordered 2 monitors from them. They didn’t deliver after 1 month. When I called and/​or emailed, if I did get a response it was just a stall. I eventually had to cancel and threaten to sue to get my money back. Avoid these people at all costs.

I had a broken DC power port on my 3 year old Lenovo laptop. Of course it was 2 months out of warranty and Lenovo wanted enough money to buy a new laptop in order to fix it. California Computer Center fixed it for less than half the price in just a day. Friendly people and a great place. One thing to note, they have moved to 2637 Fairfax in Culver City. Someone should update this page.

I came here all the way here (to the service center on Broadway) to get my ASUS Zenbook screen replaced after cracking it by accident. They are an ASUS Authorized Dealer and Service center, so I felt safer having them work with my laptop. I also noticed that most of their negative reviews were for purchases and there were some positive reviews for services, so I was more willing to take that chance.
Given that they are an authorized service center, they had the part ready and on hand, and I was able to get same day service. I arrived in the morning and the repair was done in 2.5 hours. The man who was in charge of repairs was patient and willing to answer my questions about the repair and gave me ways to prevent it from happening again. They’re not great on taking the initiative to give you those suggestions or tell you things, so it’s important to come with questions! I didnt know my replaced part had a one-​year warranty against defects until my mom asked, and we had to ask again to find out how we would have proof of that in the event that we needed to use it (via the receipt we got). The receptionist was very kind as well, and handled all the billing. They don’t have a lot of staff so it’s a fairly quiet office.
Another thing that was a minor complaint was that when I got my computer back, I noticed some scratches on the front and back of my laptop. They’re completely cosmetic and it’s not that big of a deal, but I do with they had been more careful. They also stuck a sticker with their company and info on the bottom, which I guess could be useful but a business card would have sufficed :\
All in all, a generally positive experience with a few minor complaints. Please note that yes, you have to HONK to get then to open the gate — they look closed but they’re really open! Also, it is CASH OR CHECK ONLY! And check has to take a few days to clear first before you can pick it up. Something to note, because repairs are costly and people don’t usually casually carry around hundreds of dollars with them :\

Called them and received a quote over the phone… drove all the way down there only to be told a higher quote. Seems like a bait and switch to me and it was a long drive for me from the valley

The guy who actually fixes the computers is ok (John works hard and is a nice guy).
The manager though, is a crook! I brought my laptop unsure whether the repair it needed would be covered under my warranty. They promised me not to work on it until after they confirmed its warranty status.
Lies. When they told me the warranty wouldn’t cover it, I went to pick up my computer, but they suddenly requested a 75 dollar labor charge! They basically held my computer hostage.
Criminal.

My company purchased an item from CCC a couple of years ago and we were very pleased with their customer service and prices. We quickly bookmarked them for future reference however something very bad has happened since then.
We placed an order with them earlier this month and instantly got an e-​mail confirmation that our order was successful. No problems. Today (3 weeks later) we called to check what the hold-​up was and we were told that they didn’t have our order on file, they informed us to call the manufacturer of our machine and then hung up on us. How sad.
I found all kinds of other negative reviews here very similar to ours:

Horrible customer service!!! I ordered an item from their website and paid with PayPal. They never sent tracking # on it. I called them and they said the item would be shipped directly from the manufacturer. Dont buy from them! They sent me an email to say that tracking info would be sent, and that the item had finally shipped. This was a lie! The item never shipped. This went on for 3 weeks! When they told me (over the phone, when I called) that it had never shipped, I asked to just cancel the order. They said I would have a refund immediately through Pay Pal. I finally got my refund today-​FIVE DAYS LATER!!! Dont buy from them!

California Computer Center specializes in providing a variety of computer products and services. They also have an online store for selling computer hardware. Their main showroom is in downtown (444 S. Flower St) but I came here to get my Thinkpad fixed since this place was the closest authorized Lenovo warranty service provider.
Upon first glance, the place looks locked down (there’s a big fence and the place is gated) but you just have to go up the driveway and honk your car, and they’ll open the gate up for you.
I think you’ll have to go to their other location to get a better idea of the stuff they sell, but this is not a bad place to get your computer fixed. Turnaround was a little slower than they told me — they said it would be less than week, but given the fact that Lenovo had to to ship new parts to them, I’m cutting them some slack. It took about 8 business days to replace the malfunctioning board.
In addition to basic computer repair they offer a ton of other services, such as installing wireless networks, getting rid of spyware/​viruses, and setting up firewalls. Plus they’re authorized by a bunch of companies, such as Cisco, Microsoft, Canon.
