Afsana Danishwar, DDS

I love Dr. Danishwar and her staff! For a while I had insurance that dictated I go to a different practice, and I was sorely disappointed there by both customer service and dental services (literally — my gums throbbed after, and I was anxious every time I had to go there). I’m thrilled that I have new insurance and can get back to this clinic! Even though it had been 2 years since my last visit everyone remembered me. The staff are sunny and friendly, and just the right mixture of chatty and expedient. My appointments start right on time and fly by. We have great fun talking about the differences in human and veterinary dental care (I’m a veterinarian) and everyone is just a delight.
The previous clinic wanted to do some invasive treatments, but Dr. Danishwar found they weren’t warranted yet until further wear occurs. She is conscientious and trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about her field. She and her staff are lovely and I’d recommend this practice to anyone. Plus, no throbbing gums after my cleaning :)

After searching Unilocal for several hours to find a dentist available through my insurance that wouldn’t «accidentally drill my tooth without numbing it» or «make me wait over an hour past my schedule appointment time» — I finally found Dr. Danishwar. I was a bit suspicious, because all of the reviews were so good and everything I’d read up to then made me suspect there might not be a good dentist anywhere in LA. I cautiously scheduled my appointment — they have a convenient text message system that made it easy to confirm and add to my calendar. I showed up, got in right at my schedule time — almost immediately after arriving — and was given a full check-​up with X-​Rays and a cleaning. The staff were friendly and provided straightforward answers to all of my questions. I will definitely be back, and I’d recommend Dr. Danishwar to my friends and co-​workers in a heartbeat.

I have been to Dr Danishwar several times and I have been pleased every time. her staff are very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Danishwar is very professional and does excellent work, she is always updating her office with the latest technology. l love her dedication to superior work. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Danishwar and her staff.

Dr. D is extremely personable and patient. She walks you through, step by step, what she sees, recommends and next steps. She does not rush and makes you feel like you are her only patient for the day.

Dr. Danishwar and her team are simply amazing. They are not only honest and efficient but pleasant to be around. The dentist in general can be an intimidating place, but Dr. Danishwar and her team make it a quick, clean, and no-​fuss experience that you do not dread your dentist appointments. I highly recommend them to friends and family.

Dr. Danishwar and staff are amazing! I am a dental chicken and they make me so comfortable and are affordable! I never felt that my plan of care had any «extras» it was always exactly what I needed. Alejandra and Xio her staff are seriously the best and always professional. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Dr. Danishwar and her staff are absolutely the best! She has done an amazing job with my 3 kids and with me. My kids say they feel very comfortable here, and they’ve never said this about any other dentist! They handle insurance and payments very smoothly. You can’t go wrong here. 100% recommended!

I just cannot begin to tell you how wonderful Dr. Danishwar is. She is the best dentist I have been to and I have been to many. I am what you would call a very scared child when it comes to dentists. But not with her. She is very kind and extremely knowledgeable. She automatically puts you at ease. She takes time to make you feel comfortable about any and all procedures. No question is stupid in her book. I have been to many dentist and all I can say is she is family to me and she treats me the same. She is a keeper. I can see why people from all over the country come to see her. The staff is just as wonderful. I have been going to her for years. Her sweet disposition never changes. She is constantly updating new technology as well and stays on the cutting edge of new procedures. You Rock Dr. Danishwar!

We have been patients for years… carry overs from the previous dentist. I LOVE Dr. Danishwar. Her staff is the most professional, thorough and accommodating of all our health care providers. I have recommended her to friends and family that are terrified of the dentist no more.

I would give this place a better rating if they actually provided the services as listed on their website.
FYI they do not extract wisdom teeth even though extractions are listed on their services and they go into detail about wisdom teeth specifically on the website. Although they did refer me to a specialist, Kudos for that I guess.
Secondly the office space is shared with an optometrist, nuff said.
Parking is ok, if you have plenty of quarters or park down the street like me.
I tried to give them a chance but, I guess I’ll just have to go up the street and around the corner.

Yes, I too hate going to the dentist. Duh. So much I hadn’t gone in awhile… a long while. But my sister kept raving about her dentist… and she kept reminding me how badly I needed to see a dentist, not any dentist — her brilliant dentist.
My sister is ALWAYS right. Ugh. Dr. Danishwar is amazing. She put me at ease and took such great care of me — I actually wanted to go back and of course I am now a believer in regular dental care.
Your teeth are kind of important, so I would suggest if you’re looking for an amazing, caring, trustworthy dentist — look no further! Dr. Danishwar is your answer. She is patient, detail-​oriented, gentle, sweet, takes pride in her work and creates the most pleasant dental experience possible.

I can admit I’m a perfectionist and Dr. Danishwar has been the only doctor who has had the patience to really listen and give me the smile I want. Her compassion, soft touch and skills are unmatched. I highly recommend her to all my friends and family. Thanks Dr. D!

I hadn’t been for a dental checkup in 20+ years, making me a project for even the best dentists. Dr. Danishwar was better than I could have dreamed. She was calm, friendly and professional. The cleaning left me feeling like a new man with a new mouth, and she advised me how to properly floss. I’ll see her again in 3 months (project, remember) and I can’t wait!
If you haven’t seen a dentist in a while, Dr. Danishwar is perfect!

Like most people I HATE going to the dentist. I have HATED going to the dentist since I was 12 when I had my first experience (dreadful). Long story short… I have discovered this amazing woman whom I now call «MY DENTIST» — YES she belongs to ME! I love her so much that I actually drive 2 hours just to see her (during the weekends). Yes, thank God she is open on Saturdays otherwise, I would be taking time off from work to see her.
Unlike, any other dentist I have experienced — Dr. D is just simply AMAZING!
She is:
–gentle (I never feel the horrible needle)
–warm (easy to talk to)
–she cares about her patients (she is very patient)
–she is a TOTAL PERFECTIONIST!
–she is friendly (never makes me feel bad for complaining about how much I hate going to the dentist)
–she is AWESOME!

Dr. D is such a sweet and compassionate dentist! I’ve been terrified of shots ever since i was a child, and was anxious at the thought of the pain I would be in, after scheduling my first appointment. To my surprise, I immediately felt welcomed when I walked in to her office. Alejandra, the receptionist is so friendly and accommodating and made me feel like i was the only patient by giving me her undivided attention. She is very good at explaining insurance breakdowns, and treatment plans, and let me know what to expect through every step of my dental treatment. I felt so at ease thanks to her!
Dr. Danishwar has a magical touch when she anesthetized me, because I didn’t even feel it! :) I was THRILLED!!! She really knows her stuff! Dr. D explained every step of the procedure very thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I’ve referred all my friends and family to her and they just adore her sympathetic personality and her easy touch.
The office is immaculately clean and it Is always a super quick and easy experience. I know I’m not the easiest patient to deal with, but whenever I’m here I feel taken care of in every way possible.
The waiting room is always clean and well-​organized with big windows, bright lighting, and an overall inviting atmosphere. I love the intimate care I receive when I go in for treatment at Danishwar Dentistry!
