Every employee I talked to, over the phone and in person, was both patient and helpful. Juan helped me choose my lumber and cut the wood for me. He showed no signs of annoyance when I turned down some of the pieces of wood he had pulled out, and proceeded to sort through the boards until we found something I liked. He made the whole process quick and painless.
The hardware store was also conveniently stocked with the last minute tools I needed for the job. The prices of their hex bolts were way cheaper than the ones I had seen at Orchard Hardware Supply the day before.
A&G was the only lumber yard in the immediate vicinity of Culver City that had the wood I was looking for in stock, and their prices were by far the best. All in all, I had a great experience going here.

Long time customer. Ordered a pile of lumber, it was delivered. Re-​ordered more of the same, they brought the wrong stuff, driver agreed it was wrong, after waiting two days for the correct wood, they blamed us for making the mistake, although I had them pull the previous order to replicate. They refused to bring the right stuff back, telling us to come and get it. There is a sickness over there where they will support each others bad decisions like wild dogs. I guess the moon is really made of cheese, right boyz?

They deliver throughout the LA area for a very reasonable fee, they have great prices, and are very dependable. My Go-​To with all my lumber needs. Only complaint is that they close at 4pm…

Expensive base moulding in comparison with the big box stores but very fast delivery service. Warning though — check the stock you buy before you leave the place, otherwise they will give you split boards. You might have a different experience if you’re a contractor — but would not recommend for the average diy.

Come on folks these guys «ROCK» they are much cheaper in price then any Big Box Store Place that I know of. The service is great and the owner over there his name is Skip very nice man and great to talk to full of knowledge in any home project and will take the time to really explain thing well to you. Parking is o. k but you can pull into the lumber yard and park also.

These guys are great.
My mom likes to build things when she comes to visit, so I had to go get her some supplies to complete her project. I went to pick up some 1×10 and some 1×1 to put up some shelves.
I got there, and they only have about 4 parking spaces in the lot, so I can’t imagine coming here at 7am when they’re busy, but I got here around 9am, so it wasn’t an issue.
I walked into the wood-​yard, and saw a couple of guys around, but they don’t wear t-​shirts with the name on them, or name tags, so you just kinda have to guess who works here and who doesn’t. I told the guy what I wanted and he gave me a slip to go inside and pay for it. They have an office and a mini-​hardware store. There’s not a lot of stuff, but it meets all the needs I could think of.
While I was waiting, I chatted with the guy and we started talking about Hollywood a bit. They have signs from about 150 different productions on their walls, from Friends to Jericho to much older stuff. He told me they’ve supplied lumber for a lot of different stuff. Cool.
I wander outside, and my stuff is ready, leaning up against the fence. 14feet of 1×10 doesn’t fit in my car, but this is less than half a mile from my apartment, so I didn’t worry about it too much.
All-​in-​all, a really good experience.
