We were in the area late afternoon and stopped in. I don’t understand the gimmick. I didn’t bring my reading glasses. The process to just get a sandwich is confusing. Customers(bout a half a dozen) were all clustered around the little kiosk writing on their bags while the employees were all looking bored sipping on sodas. I got pissed off, stuffed the little bag I had in my hand in the trash and went to another place and got a sandwich. Where the process of getting one didn’t need re-inventing. There’s no effing way this place deserves 5 stars, Hell, 4 stars even.

I always drive by and here about this Which Wich… so I decided to go. The service was great the Guy was on top of it all .I loved my concoction of a sandwich. I do recommend going inside and don’t forget your Vibe Club Rewards.

It’s slow. Can take up to 15 mins to get your sandwich. What’s worse is you can get yours whomever you come with gets theirs some time afterwards. Either you eat and they wait, vice-versa or wait and if you get a hotwich it gets cold. Sandwiches are good, but disinterested employees and slow service — we cut way back on coming. There are better choices in town.

First time at this place, I was a little confused about the ordering system. An employee had to walk me through the process rather then just ordering at the counter. That’s fine, this should speed things up in the future. I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich. I expected a hot sandwich all the way through. What I got was hot bread and sauce along with cold chicken inside. I will give this place another chance, but next time maybe I won’t order a hot sandwich.

My wife and I had a little trouble figuring out the unique ordering system here. Luckily other customers came in and we saw what they did. The choose a bag and write your order thing is different and fun but there should be a sign to explain it. Staff was kind of blah but the owner was very nice and informative. Our sandwiches were very good. I like the fact that they have a lot of choices of sandwiches and fillers. Some are unique, like my kids had the Monte Cristo and it was good. Different than the ones I’ve had at diner’s before.

Amazing meatball sub. So convenient to have a drive thru and online ordering available. Can’t wait to try all their unique sandwiches like The Elvis” next time. The owner was at the drive up window and was so nice and informative. My husband and I can never agree on sandwich places– he likes Jimmy John’s and I like Panera. This place has options We both will enjoy.

There is a lot of variety here and there is a drive thru. The service is so so and the sandwiches themselves are nothing special. Potbelly and Jimmy John’s are better options.

There are a lot of sub places in the burbs… especially out this way in the Fox Valley/far NW. Which Wich proves there’s room for one more. The ordering system is unique, almost fun. Grab a bag per the size you want and check off what you want, hand it to the cashier, and wait for your name to be called. Easy. As others have mentioned, and I agree, the subs are quite Potbelly-esque in taste. This place isn’t going to put Bubs Subs out of business, but it’s an nice alternative to Subway and Jimmy Johns, which I’ve all but scratched off my list. One thing that does set WW apart is their shakes. They are good, so try one! Prices are not cheap, but not super over-the-top, I imagine once the newness dies down we’ll see coupons in the mail from them… because it seems all these new sandwich joints like to price themselves as if they are a sit-down casual or fast-casual restaurant. You’re a sub place, not a Chili’s…but I digress.

This place has good sandwiches for an ok price and a wide variety. I would have given this 5 stars if it weren’t for the attitude, unprofessionalism, and inconsistentcy. I was forced to come back after receiving an incorrectly made sandwich only to see later that they didn’t fix my sandwich, they just rewrapped it. Complained to corporate who forwarded my complaint to the store manager who basically said I was wrong. He offered a refund but the whole situation put a sour taste in my mouth so I’m just completely done with this franchise. I’ll go to Potbelly for more flavorful sandwiches.

My fiancé and I love this place! Each time, Harry, the owner, is at the cash register taking orders and talking with his customers. He truly makes the experience of this Which Wich location. Our sandwiches are always tasty and if they don’t think their sandwiches are quaity, they will remake it to guarantee a delicious meal! Whenever I come to Crystal Lake, I have to make a stop here for lunch or dinner!

The manager made the experience good its sad I got to rate it one star because the manager was SOOO nice and friendly. I would rate him 5 stars and the sanwitch zero. The amount of money you spend is crazy and the amount of meat they put is ridiculous ! It was filled with toppings and the meat was pitiful. Would never reccomend this place because the sandwitches are horrible !

I recall spotting a location of theirs in the Block 37 mall downtown, but for whatever reason I’d never had time to go to there. So it was just as well I ran into this WW, just before I took the trek south to Scorched Earth Brewing Company. Not knowing what to order, I ordered whatever the 5 meat sandwich(forgetting the name of it, sorry!) is called just by itself, since I thought in my head that’d be fine. Have to say I was impressed by the sandwich, and it reminded me of the quality of sandwiches at Jersey Mike’s and Potbelly. You even can get a pesto spread on the sandwich if you want(I chose to), which is rare for ANY chains to offer! And yes you do write down your sandwich selection on a piece of paper which doubles as the paper bag holding the sandwich when you go, with doing checkmarks as to what you want on the sandwich I’d gladly return to any WW location, I was impressed enough by them. Too bad I’m getting scared on hearing those reviews that say their chip bags have very few chips, but hey all I can review them on foodwise was the sandwich I got. Location was also clean too, including the bathroom.

I was stoked when I saw Which Wich was opening up in Crystal Lake. I used to get wiches for lunch all the time in college and loved the toppings! I stopped here on a Friday night and got my sandwich order filled out! I like that Which Wich has a large variety of toppings and I feel like they are more unique than other sandwich stops. Plus you can get as many or as few as you want! I always load my sandwich up! The ordering process went quickly but I was disappointed with how long it took to make my sandwich and there were only about 4 or 5 in front of me. My sandwich tasted delicious!

Excellent newcomer to the sandwich scene. Have been looking for a place that makes a buffalo chicken similar to what Shamrock used to make before they closed. It was absolutely fantastic. My fiancée tried the ruben and loved it(i dont like rubens at all so i am deferring to her opinion). The order-yourself idea is pretty neat too… but the sandwiches are fresh, very tasty, and they don’t skimp on the add-ons. I am not a fan of their homemade chips personally however the fiancée loves them — just wish the bag had more in it… looks like a sizeable side until you open it up and see that its just a small handful of chipa. We have been back twice already.

The sandwiches are great; there are a ton of ingredients you can have in 14,128,182,027 ways. Now for the bad part… This place NEVER has sandwiches ready if you order ahead of time. If you walk in, they tell you to use the drive-thru. If you use the drive-thru you sit there and wait while they make the order you placed 35 minutes ago. I honestly prefer their food to Mikes, Jimmy Johns and Pot$elly, but the hassle really prevents me from returning often. Pro Tip: Their house chips are excellent, but there are like 7 of them in a bag.

First visit to this store and we won’t be back. It’s just not a good value compared to other sandwich shops in the area. For a 14 inch sandwich, a 10 inch sandwich and two drinks, we paid $ 25 which might have been ok if what we got was outstanding. I ordered a skinny ham and pineapple sandwich with red onion, lettuce and a little bit of honey mustard. I expected for the money paid to get a nice grilled piece of pineapple, but what I received was crushed pineapple like you get from a can. Shredded iceberg lettuce, about three little pieces of red onion and some deli ham was the rest of it. The pineapple made it a soggy mess as it ahead completely soaked through the bread. I could have eaten it with a spoon at that point. If you’re in the area, JJ’s makes a better sandwich with better quality ingredients. If you don’t mind driving a little further, Algonquin sub shop has the very best sandwiches in the Chicago area.

I decided to visit the Crystal Lake, and I wish I hadn’t. First of all, the drive-through is a joke. You have to go through a series of touch screens to pick up an order, so I forced to go into the store. When I did, I noticed there was employees standing around, with no customers. Not good for a Saturday evening. I ordered a Turkey Club cold, which I ended up getting hot. On top of that, the sandwich had Mayo, which I didn’t request. Nice too see the staff are paying attention to their customers. My wife ordered a Hula, which was very bland. On top of that, the sandwich had paper INSIDE the sandwich. On the whole, a very poor experience, compared to the Hoffmann Estates location. I WILLNOTBECOMINGBACK!!!

I am so happy that this place opened up in Crystal Lake! I went there today for the first time and have no hesitation in giving them five stars. I walked in with a few other people behind me. None of us knew how to order. An employee noticed our confusion right away and gave us a «group tutorial» on how the ordering system works. I get that for some people it might be annoying to have to fill out your own order sheet, but I thought it was fun and with their wide variety of toppings, it really helped to see it written out. I thought my sandwich was amazing. I got a 7 inch turkey on wheat with a plethora of fixings. It came out fairly quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. It was fresh, flavorful and toasty. I hope to make this one of my regular lunch spots.

Three of us ate there on March 6, 2015. We all thought the food was OK, nothing to write home about. Average sandwiches. The ordering process is extremely confusing. Since this is a new business and people are unfamilier with their process, they should either have someone standing there explaining it to you or have a set of directions available to read showing the process. They also really need to clean the dining area more often. It was very messy. I will give them one more try, since they just opened. They really need to work on the ordering process though. What a nightmare!

I overall loved the Elvis wich and give that particular sandwich 5 stars. But not so much the BLT or the ordering process. Upon entering you fill out your own bag about which sandwich you want and the condiments. Cute idea. I figured his would speed up he ordering process. Not so much when at 1215 on a weekday one person is at the register. I waited 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Id rather just order at the register. Even Jimmy Johns has 2 people manning register at lunch time. So after waiting i got the sandwiches. I was disappointed because the bacon on both sandwiches was crumbles not strips. Personal preference I don’t like crumbles especially on a BLT. My BLT had barely any lettuce and a ton of bacon. I took half off and missed the lettuce. The Elvis wich i liked. I did remove half the bacon on this as well but the peanut butter honey banana mix was delicious with just a bit of bacon it was perfect. Overall if the ordering been better run and quicker Id give this place 4 stars. But it wasn’t so 3.
