Yuk! This was our first time here. We read the reviews and we were excited to try this place. We started off with the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer. That was pretty good. I thought we were off to a good start. Then our thin crust pizza came out! it looked like a 4 year old put it together. It was messy with not enough ingredient, not enough sauce and not enough cheese. Not appetizing at all! We also ordered a small sausage deep dish. Yuk! No flavor, too much sauce. The sauce tasted like it was out of a can. I thought when we walked in we were about to find a new cozy pizza place. NOT!

By far, hands down, No questions about it. The BEST deep dish pizza in Crystal lake and beyond. Just as good for delivery. I would also recommend for people looking to watch live sports (NFL, MLB or Collage.) they have an excellent bar area and moderately prices drinks and beer.

Really good thin crust pizza! We tried the veggie pizza and the sausage. You could really tell that all of the ingredients were fresh. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. I’d really like to try the deep dish pizza! Another table ordered it and it looked so good!

Their pizza was good, for Chicago Style Deep Dish. If I was more poetic, or an English Major I might have better words to describe it. Then again, its just pizza.
Their Old Fashioneds, however, were horrible. I probably shouldn’t expect a drink like that from a Chicago pizza place. Best to stick with draft beer.

Get there early because this place fills up quick. I had the deep dish Papa Georgio’s and it was delicious. I would have preferred it to be a little more done but as I stated the taste was great and would definitely order again. My wife had a calzone which was good and the spinach artichoke appetizer was very good. Our waitress did a tremendous job especially with how busy it was on a Saturday evening. I found my new sitdown pizza establishment in the area for awesome chicago style deep dish.

I gave it a 4 because it can be loud and for a while there was no menu for cocktails. I’m not sure if they brought that back. However the service is great and the pizza is worth the wait.
Tip: call ahead so that you aren’t waiting for a table as long as just walking in.

Had the deep dish pizza and it was very good. Also a great selection of beers. Our server, Johanna was very attentive.

Wish I could tell you how the food was — I ordered pick up online — it took 20 minitues before the incompetent person who took my order for a small deep dish with Pep and xtra cheese understood how to place my order.
Got there 30 minutes later to pick it up and they said they do not have my order — even though they said they would have it right up — I said naw I am good and walked out
So, i have just been communicating with the owner, and he is willing to make this right. Iam looking forward to updating my review when i try the pie!

There is not much more I can say regarding this establishment. Rarely have we ever been disappointed with the food or service. They have a consistency that we have come to expect and this is one of the main reasons we are repeat customers!

Yes, this IS the BEST deep dish in all of Chicagoland! It is buttery, tomato-​ey perfection!

Amazing Deep dish pizza, draft beer and an impeccable service made it an great dinner in company of my wife.

This is my favorite Chicago deep dish pizza. Never had a bad experience here. The thin crust is also good. The employees have always been very nice. What could we add to the menu? Maybe garlic knots?

I was craving Chicago style deep dish pizza last night and we had to drop my car off at our friend’s work in Crystal Lake. My husband was able to find Georgio’s through Unilocal five min from where we had to drop off the car. We’ve dined in at their other location in South Barrington a few years ago and enjoyed their pizza.
Why the four stars and not five stars you may ask? I had a rocky start with Georgio’s. While en route to drop off my car I called to preorder our pizza so it would be ready when we were seated. I was starving and we knew we wouldn’t get there until 8:15. I spoke with a hostess named Jenny. Jenny told me they don’t do preorders for pizzas on the weekends and I could make a reservation. I wasn’t too happy about that policy, but agreed to make a reservation even though we were going to be there in 15 – 20 min. Unfortunately, I was not given the opportunity to make a reservation because I was hung up on… NICE!
When we arrived it wasn’t too busy and we were seated right away. Our server was great and efficient. They also had a great beer list that my beer snob husband loved. He ordered a 20 oz Revolution Antihero on draft and enjoyed it with his pizza. For checking in through Unilocal I received a free soda with our pizza purchase. Our server had never seen one of these deals before, but accepted it. We ordered our pizza with roasted red peppers, onion, and garlic. We also made it a point to order our pizza «GOOEY». Our server and the cook didn’t know what that meant. WHAT?! If this is Chicago style pizza you should know what that means especially if your competitors can accommodate that. My husband explained to the server so she and the cook could better understand we would prefer the pizza to be undercooked. I was starving like I said, my husband and I each ordered a side salad. It was pretty decent and kept my hunger at bay for the pizza to arrive. The pizza tasted phenomenal!!! It was «GOOEY» along with the sweetness of roasted red peppers, onions, and fresh garlic. The saving grace of this place is their pizza. They nailed the «GOOEY» factor! It was a huge pizza and we still have four pieces leftover for dinner tonight.
Overall, the pizza, and service from the waiter was great. I wasn’t too happy about their preorder policy on the weekends. Also, I think management needs to train the staff and cooks on Chicago style pizza terms such as «GOOEY», «WELL DONE» etc. This holds especially true when having customers from other competitors dining in at their establishment. If we’re in the area of Crystal Lake or South Barrington we would consider dining here again.

We stopped in here for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon. It was empty, so we had the option of sitting anywhere, and we chose to sit in the bright, naturally lit front room.
I had been here before, but not for the food, so we were excited to see the pizza offerings. We ordered the 9″ thin crust gluten free, Papa Georgio’s and for the kids, a 10″ thin crust sausage and chicken.
The gluten free pizza was delicious, and surprisingly crispy. If you hadn’t told me it was gluten free, I wouldn’t have noticed. The Papa Georgio’s combination is a delicious one, so I’d recommend it on any pizza style. The kids loved the sausage and chicken, and as it turned out, we ordered just enough pizza to satisfy everyone.
Service was excellent, but hard to tell if it was because we were one of four tables being served in the entire restaurant. She was attentive and personable and checked in on us frequently.
This restaurant is definitely worth the 4 star rating it averages, but I could easily see it getting up to 5. I will reserve that rating after coming back to sample their version of the deep dish. It is among the top of the thin crusts in the area, if not the best. My family will certainly return soon, and recommend you take a visit as well.

Place is very, very good. Wait staff is very friendly. Drink specials every day. Thursday is $ 3.00 you call it. Call ahead because on weekends it is packed. Best pizza in area.

Can’t say its the best, even though I have been here many times since it opened years back. The pizza crust on the deep dish is tasteless, dry and hard, to me its a Gino’s, Lou’s, Uno’s or Duo’s, «want to be «but doesn’t make the cut.
The thin crust pizza that we ordered last time was very good. The service is always good and the place is always clean that is why they get 4 stars instead of three.
On the carry out side:
I do have to say the last time we ordered to pick up (1) large deep dish and a large thin crust w/​sausage and the bill was $ 45.00 + I think thats somewhat steep for what you get so it goes back down to threes stars for carry out because there is just too many other good places for carry out Pizza around that are less expensive.
