Come in and let us fill your «prescription.» Located in the old Funk & Smith Pharmacy building from the early 1900s, Rumors on Ice is here to bring big city entertainment and libations — just like the doctor ordered. A city style nightclub in the Crystal City «Brick District» we are here for you to enjoy!

Our bar has anything and everything you could desire: from beers to vodkas to hard cider and wines. We serve up drinks with style, new innovative spins, and state of the art equipment. When the season is right, we even feature cocktails with herbs grown on our own rooftop garden!

We also feature a menu of tapas-​style shareable dishes like our famous hot crab dip and twists on american classics like fire grilled burgers. Enjoy our patio or sit inside and partake in our entertainment including comedy nights, burlesque, and drag shows.

He learned the ropes from his uncle, also in the bar business, and invites you to come on down and enjoy some fun entertainment, delicious bites, and unbeatable cocktails soon!

This is our absolutely most favorite place to go any night of the week. While all days are great our favorite is the drag show on Sunday nights. Wow, absolute world class entertainment. The owners are always present and even greet you right at the front door. The bar tenders are very quick and extremely courteous. I would most relate this cozy eclectic hang as something you’d see in Clayton, Atlanta’s Buckhead or Denver’s Tech Center. This is a classy joint with a little country and is perfect for all groups, ages, music lovers and a variety of visual interests. I promise if you come even once you’ll be back time and time again.

On Sunday night, two friends and I attended a drag show held at Rumors. I’ve attended drag shows countless times but this was the only time I’ve truly felt uncomfortable. The show consisted of 3 drag queens and 2 of them singled me out twice due to my race. The first time this happened, the opening queen began to joke about Kanye West and replied to me, «Oh, don’t get me wrong, I love ‘your people’.» I was then asked if I liked black guys. I was very uncomfortable. The second moment of cringe-​worthy behavior was the second queen who after performing called me out by saying, «Hey, Black Girl» to address me. It’s 2015. I shouldn’t go into a place and feel singled out and uncomfortable due to race. My friends were Caucasian and equally as horrified as I was. One of my friends asked a patron,“Why do they act like they’ve never seen a black person before?” He replied that I was 1 of 3 black people to ever attend the drag show since its started. My friends and I left after the first half of the show was over. I don’t plan on returning back to Rumors.

Wow, what a breath of fresh air in JeffCo! Fantastic drinks, amazing selection. Fun events and great atmosphere. High ceilings, a large bar, comfy seats and heated (fireplaces too!) outdoor areas really round this place out. Martinis are spot on! Minimal food, but what they have is great. Love the music videos and lasers. Music on a Friday night was a perfect spot.

This place is cool, how cool do you ask, well, it doesn’t get any cooler than this in Jefferson county. This place has a great laser show, fog machines, awesome sound system and playing the music videos on the giant TV’s are a great idea. The drinks were spectacular and looked very yummy. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly. Some people on Unilocal made a comment about having to wait to get a drink but we didn’t have that problem at all. They made them quickly and with a smile! When the manager found out that it was our first time, he took the time to show us around and tell us about the place. You don’t find service like this very often and when you do, you give them the chance. If you want to get out of Jefferson county without leaving Jeffco, come here. The back patio was perfect, they have a very nice covered patio with heaters and gas fire places and the couches were perfect. They do have a smoking section off the back as well that is heated also. Again, give this place a shot and you will be back.

Great place, fantastic patio out back, excellent drinks, great music. Stopped by here because someone found it online and we were so glad we did. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. We had a party bus of about 20 and they accommodated us on short notice. We will definitely be back. Most unique bar in Jeffco

What a cool, cool place! Definitely the hippest bar outside of downtown STL. I loved the décor (the bathroom is incredible!) and the bartender was soo cool! We only had drinks, so can’t comment on the food, but the couple next to us raved on how great the burgers were. The owner chatted with my husband on how he and co-​owner restored the building — he loves hearing that kind of stuff. Definitely going back… we want to see the drag show!!!

I moved into the Twin City area after living in Chicago for years. This place gives a nice Atmosphere of being more in a city with being the only bar like this in town! Love the patios, the flames during the colder months and how there aren’t TV’s everywhere like most bars! If you’re in town and want to try something new check this place out!

This place has a super sexy name and it lived up to it in terms of experience. I took my hubby here for some cocktails and they were strong and well-​mixed. The ambience is fantastic. The owners are both excellent and so friendly. Definitely feels like something you would find in a hipper more trendy area. The food is good too and the drinks put us in a happy mood.

This review is ONLY based on service, hence the 2 stars as I cannot comment on the food or drink. I reviewed this place on 7−16−14 shortly after they opened and was disappointed in the food and service.
My husband and I decided to give it another try after about a year to see if they had worked out the kinks, and unfortunately in service they have not.
We went on a Saturday night and it was not crowded at all. We had a seat on the patio along and were told a server would be out soon. About fifteen to twenty minutes later a server came and we ordered two simple drinks, a glass of wine and a margarita. About ten to fifteen minutes after this we still had not been served our drinks. We had hoped to try to the food, but as long as it took just to place our drink order we worried about how long it would take to actually get any food. The last straw was when a group that was seated about 15 minutes after us were served their drinks and we still had not received ours, and this is the point we decided to walk out. The man at the door explained they were short staffed, but this still didn’t explain why others that were seated after us were served before us.
This place is beautiful, has great ambiance and hands down has the best patio in town, but to wait over half an hour and still not be served a single drink is unacceptable.

We went here for Mother’s day for the first time and LOVED this place! From the ambience to the customer service, we were very satisfied! The owners, Dave and Greg spent time talking to our family and we found then very caring and professional! We absolutely loved the outside patio area! You truly don’t even feel like you are in a small town when you are in this place! The drag show was fabulous!!! We will definitely be back ;)

What an awesome place! You can really tell how much love and attention was given to this place! This is a warm uplifting elegant environment. Staff is amazing. Décor is super awesome. The outdoor patio is going to be amazing during the summer! Makes you feel like you’re in STL! And they have my favorite, Stiletto Vodka!

Evolving restaurant (American New & weekend brunch), cocktail bar & live music lounge
–no TV to distract from the libations, conversations & taste sensations
–no smoking new lounge feel inside & out with only a lower level smoking patio seating
–Restaurant has shareable plates like a Tapas Bar, but more food
–larger selection of liquor including habanero infused bitters
–impressive range of bottled beer (American light Pilsner to a nice selection of IPAs & stouts)
–I had a great brunch a few months ago
–they card everyone so if you can not get your life together enough to even get a non-​drivers ID… drink your sorrows away at another bar (a positive in my assessment)
I had one of the most complex & flavorful Bloody Marys here. The pepper infused vodka & habanero bitters with bacon flavored salted & a skull mushroom was great!
This is a little too «Sex in the (Crystal) City» for my taste, but I am highly impressed by the endeavor & experience.

Stopped in for a 2nd chance last night… for some reason I just can’t get used to this place. My wife seems to be warming to it. They card everybody at the door, even if you’re obviously pushing 40, by having you hand over your ID so it can be scanned into some kind of card-​reader. $ 11 Manhattans still, not sure if they have done any other pricing adjustments. Décor is the same, as is the hipster staff, complete with skinny jeans, tattoos, and marble-​sized (or bigger) holes in their ears. Everyone was friendly and helpful, although we were approached and checked on by 3+ different servers, I know they were slow but it was still a bit much. Everything just seems so overdone – it just seems so out of place here – just my opinion. Anyway, I hope they do well.

I stopped by tonight for a drink or two and a quick, light bite to eat. The staff was very nice and helpful and my order was properly taken and received. The interior is beautiful and unlike anything else outside of St. Louis City! From elephant tables to unique light fixtures, one can spend a lot of time just taking in your surroundings while deciding on your food and drink for the evening.
I started with an Old Fashioned ($ 6.50) and the Hummus plate ($ 12.00). The old fashioned uses a high end rye whiskey and was very smooth. The hummus is house made and came with an assortment of fresh veggies, pita, and focaccia bread. It was just the right combination of creamy and smokey flavor.
I enjoyed two beers as well: the «Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale» and a «Boulevard Ginger Lemon Radler». Both were $ 4.50 per, ice cold, and very fresh– just the right thing after a day at the office.
I plan on going back many times and enjoying the great company, food, and drinks of this unique Jefferson County establishment!

i would like to see more people come here and keep this upscale fantastic place open, went there today for lunch and there were four of us, we got a tour of the place, the food was great and the staff was very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised with the overall appearance and friendliness of the place, I will certainly go back.

A delightful new spot in the Twin City area. The hand-​crafted cocktails and ambiance make for an experience unlike any other currently available in Jefferson County.
Must be 21 to enter. Outdoor patio seating is built for a all seasons. Very attentive wait staff.
